Well located in Bramley. Lovely friendly pub.
4.0
Very good pub, large selection of drinks and we had a nice evening meal. Bar gets very busy.
Breakfast - additional cost - was very good.
Tried to get a taxi to visit friends - impossible!

Pretty much everything! From the wonderfully friendly and familiar check-in (felt like I was returning to a friend/families house!), to the lovely room (where almost everything had been thought of!), to the lovely wait staff service (in the pub) and delicious food!
I really have nothing to add here! I found everything exceeded my expectations.

Location for our individual need. Close to Guildford Crematorium.
Scaffolded for building works with builders working outside of our windows as we got ourselves up in the morning.

We have stayed at the Jolly a few times this summer. The rooms are always spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and the bedlinen is crisp cotton which is lovely.
We take our dog with us ( a small extra charge) and he is always really happy there. The establishment is very dog friendly, the food is good and we are always happy to return.
The road is noisy but it is what it is and as long as you know that when booking it isn’t a problem.

COMFY BED AND GREAT FOOD
NO SHOWER AND VERY SLOW WIFI

Massive Noise pollution from downstairs pub.

Terrific bar restraunt with extremely posh rooms.
A little noisy up till 10pm untill the kitchen shut down. Shame at £90 breakfast was extra. Great room though four star experience.

Clean, spacious room, quiet and very friendly staff. The atmosphere and the decor take me back to good old days.
Two things:
-They did not provide tissue papers in the room.
- The cold and hot water taps in the wash basin were separate with no mixer.

Comfy, good shower in a nice country pub.
On brief - on comments.

It has a wonderful old world charm, yet comfortable
and a very hospitable host. Excellent small touches like cold mineral water available all evening and decanter of sherry in the room make you feel very welcome.
Nothing to dislike but do bear in mind no evening meals on Monday or Tuesday. However the host was able to recommend some very good local eateries.

Great location for being just around the corner from family.
Pub has got a lot of character and good selection of drinks on offer.
Well priced.
Room 1 was very hot & a bit noisy from the outside extractor fans.

Lovely traditional pub with a great selection of real ales and excellent food. Friendly bar staff. Nice outdoor space and good car park.
Need to update the food availability on booking.com. Kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday. Breakfast is not available until 8.30am so not great in that respect for business travellers.
4.5
Staff happy to accommodate an additional breakfast guest. Good cooked breakfast, including vegan/Vege options. Deep and comfortable bath.

The town itself was lovely
The welcome from staff was not great..not friendly
After the unfriendly welcome ..the accommodation was in an alley across the road ..the apartment is big ..but very outdated ..did not sit on sofas as they looked very unclean...a chipped mug in cupboard ..on entrance to accommodation there
was a filthy carpet on stairs and no lock on outside door..so anyone could have walked in off the street..reported on first night...despite the landlord saying he would sort it out on Saturday morning ..nothing was done..
Went to give keys back on Friday morning at 8.30am ...handed them to a man in back of pub that pulled up in a mini..and he just said thanks...I assumed he was the manager ..but no...how was your stay?? Was everything okay....no sorry I did not fix the lock ??
We stayed there for my sons wedding in bramley Gate farm so thought it was going to be great experience ....but because of security issues with lock broke could not sleep .both nights...no apologies...no offer of refund....avoid..avoid ..

WOW what a gem of a place! Clean and welcoming. The mattress was devine to sleep on! The food is outstanding and the breakfast is lovely worth the $ Easy car parking out the back off the road.
Nothing at all, keep up the good work

A comfortable, interesting, quirky gem. Last time we came was in a lull between covid lockdowns (October 2020), so it was great to find the place had not only survived but was thriving. Our room was the same one we’d previously stayed in and was as welcoming and comfortable as we remembered with subtle improvements.
The bar and dining room are stuffed with interesting antiques and everyday objects of times gone by and the walls are lined with fascinating signs, photographs, art and posters. You’d need days to peruse it all. Luckily the food was delicious enough to provide a temporary distraction. Good beer too!
The staff were unobtrusively solicitous, friendly and efficient. I really couldn’t fault them. We will definitely be back.
