Location is good, communal kitchen is well equipped.
Beds are worn out and lumpy.

The central location was great, the room and facilities were really clean.
There was no key in the safe when I arrived but staff sorted this out.promptly. the room was tired with cracks in the wall and a very squeaky bed. The furniture looked good, but was flimsy.

bad experience in everything

2.0
It is close (approx. 20 minutes walk) to the city centre
Not very clean (the toilet seat was dirty - likely not cleaned between stays).
3.5
Almost everything, besides the wifi that stopped working
WIFI stopped working and I got no answers about it
3.5
Location is convenient. The other guests were interesting to talk to in the lounge.
There is no reception, instead they email you a form to fill in, some people will find this inconvenient.

NOTHING everyone was not helpful the room had mould in the bathroom noisy radiators and central heating
unhelpful staff room to noisy told no they room available until booking .com involved
did not stay moved out the day after never spent any more time there unable to get refund Appsolultly disgusting

tv isn’t connected to netflix nd stuff

Staff is very nice. The room is very clean. Good location.
The facilities are with poor quality. I could feel the springs in the mattress, not very comfortable to sleep on it. I kept hearing the bed noise from the next room. The window is super old, didn't insulte any traffic noise outside, and it was vibrating with the wind all the night.
So basically everything is about noise, not possible to sleep very well.

Some key things you should know before booking - read carefully their terms. I read it, so it wasn’t a surprise for me, but many people in reviews clearly did not and they left a lot of negative comments :)
In brief: they will ask for proof of your identity, fill a form and also a 100 pounds refundable deposit that you won’t get back immediately after you leave (depending on a bank). I’m still waiting for that, it’s been a week, hopefully in the next week or 2 at most I’ll see it. This is all needed to keep prices affordable (e.g. they don’t have reception to check your documents on arrival). Once you submit all the docs and pay the deposit, they will send you instructions on how to check in and get your keys.
I stayed for 5 weeks.
Let’s move to advantages:
Location is very central, proximal to many shops, restaurants, university, public transport, train station. It was easy to get to work for me
Unlike a hotel, there is a washing machine. The room was heated well even during cold times so you can easily dry your clothes inside quickly. This way you can save time and money on launderette.
Unlike a hotel, there is a reasonably well-equipped and spacious kitchen. Knives though could be sharpened and some utensils restocked. There are 2 fridges, one is newer. Kitchen is not busy at all, so you can use it pretty much any time.
The house is very quiet. I only saw one party that continued after 10pm though I did not hear them since I was staying on the top floor. I could easily go to bed early and get up early.
Staff is very polite and friendly and always happy to help. They resolved my issues pretty quickly.
My room was facing the backyard, so it was quiet.
Internet connection was stable.
No issues with shower as mentioned by some guests (always nice and hot)
Some things to take into account:
Quality of cleaning depends on the day/person, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not so good, but overall satisfactory
The bathroom is indeed very small (well, I suppose that it’s just characteristic of an old English house) and towel dryer was very close to the toilet so I scolded myself couple times
a bit shorter bed that I'd be perfectly comfortable with (I'm relatively tall person)

The instructions to enter were clear. The linen and place was clean
They should not advertise free wifi if there is no wifi in the bedroom. The only place i could get Wifi was in the common lounge downstairs.

Super annoying registration process, had to pay extra deposit in front which was not communicated before booking.
Wouldn't rent again and absolutely can't recommend it

Location
Carpet in the room looked dirty, a lot of dust, chair was ripped, walls not painted. Overall just looked unkept.
Staff were rude over the phone. To get into the property you get a key out of a key safe, up on vacating you put the key back. I have followed all the instructions and vacated.
Later on in the day I get a call from one of the members of staff, telling me in a very accusatory tone that I haven’t left the key. They were telling me off saying their next customer can’t get in because of me. I of course did everything right so I was explaining that I left the key. Later on with multiple calls, multiple members of staff were just blaming me for not leaving the key, it was confusing what they even wanted me to do. They caused me so much stress and I was giving them ideas on what to do eg speak to cleaning staff etc. Later on I got a call saying the key was found and that there was some confusion and the next client already has a key!! It seemed very shady and there was no apology! They wasted so much of my time and ruined my afternoon and didn’t even say sorry!
if you stay here take pictures of the safe where you put the key so you have proof!
3.5
close to station and university
I cannot link Wi-Fi in my room, maybe there is too weak Wi-Fi in highest floor. I can link Wi-Fi when I stand in the ground floor.
4.0
Near the Judge Business School, easy to walk
I forgot one step before checkin but haven’t rêcived the reminder or instruction.

Close to the centre. Affordable. Clean.
No mug or glass in the room, even though
there’s a kettle. Creaky bed.
3.0
There was a really effective air conditioner in the room which was brilliant.
The bathroom was mouldy and dusty; the toilet is too close to the towel heater (impossible to avoid burning yourself); the towel heater was left on in 34° heat; the bed was absolutely tiny; and it was also incredibly difficult to arrange payment properly with the company.

The location
0.5
Only the location and the WiFi were factors that were enjoyable.
Bad service that does not respect and attend to customers needs and wishes.
Look at the following photos. Do not stay at this place if you care about hygiene and your health. The photos on the site are deceiving and the place is not cleaned according to health code standards like it is stated.
Every furniture along with the walls were covered in dust and filth. There were urine stains on the toilet, spiderwebs in the window, the pillow cases were yellow and there were hair in the sheets, the kettle was very filthy along with the tv remote, dust everywhere along with filth and the list goes on. The communal area was also filthy - such as brown stains of dirt in the microwave and on the fridge/freezer - the fridge also had a really unpleasant smell, the sofas were really dirty. The soap was more than half used along with the toilet paper and the shower gel.
I paid a lot of money for an unacceptable accommodation that has not been properly cleaned for a long time. I LEFT the accommodation the next day, and wanted a refund since this is unacceptable and wanted to leave. They offered me a ,,double'' cleaning and said they always clean the rooms which is clearly not accurate like the photos state. I contacted booking.com who said the accommodation had cleaned the room. I went back again to see how it looked, even if I was staying at another hotel. They had not cleaned anything except the spiderwebs.
I was staying at another hotel and have not been given any refund nor do they reply to my emails.
I travelled to Cambridge for my graduation and this ruined a lot of the trip concerning it was too expensive since I had to book another hotel. This was a really unpleasant and horrifying experience - no one should have to deal with hygiene problems in an accommodation that you pay a lot money for, and especially on a holiday when you should be enjoying yourself.

location is good
near to station, city centre and lot of restaurants around
cleanliness - dirty, lot of insects
facilities - only half roll of toilet paper is available , the microwave was locked with no instruction given
hot water function- out of function …. forced to take cold water shower , a staff came to fix up but then out of function again one day later
Wrong instruction was given by the staff for key collection ; felt very frustrated in the progress
can’t get key in the cold and dark night
4.0
location, cleanliness, quiet
I know this sounds picky but there was no toilet roll, I was only staying one night so it mean’t a rush out to the shops for toilet roll. If items like this aren’t supplied it would be helpful to put it in clearly in the description
1.5
location
unclean kitchen, smelly house, ni towel in room, difficult check in, needs upgrade
4.0
Good side entrance made access to the flat easy plus I had more privacy and less noise than expected
Aircon instead of radiators
3.0
Overall the best of this place is the location, conveniently close to Parker's Piece and central Cambridge, with a supermarket (Co-op) very close. The room is fine for a few days though a bit warm, with private bathroom, mine was facing the back and very quiet.
When I first came into the room, I didn't find it as clean as I expected. I found some hair in my bed and towels, and the soap in the shower was not even changed. Certainly you don't expect that for that price. Midway through my stay they cleaned, however, but I also got trouble getting a lamp changed.
3.5
Location is good, room fairly comfortable, didn't use the kitchen.
.
We had some difficulties at first involving getting into the room and later, with the hot water. But the staff handled it as best they could.
