Lovely room clean and well decorated,
Super comfy bed and good size bath.
hotel staff very polite and helpful
Also lovely complimentary strawberries and cream in the room.
Booking.com has the rooms listed as pet friendly with additional charge however on The way there was told the room we booked was not pet friendly and the only option is to upgrade room by addtitional cost (£85 later+£15 pet charge ) or cancel the booking and lose your money (£214.50) as it is non refundable..
So check with hotel before you book due to the listings being incorrect

An amazing, quirky boutique hotel which surprised and delighted at every turn. Our room was comfortable, unusually furnished and quiet. The food in the 'pub' was anything but 'pub food' - it was full of flavour, delicious, with generous portions.. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would score this hotel 10 out of 10, and would happily return.
Thanks guys.
I cannot think of a single improvement. The price was a little high (just over £400); just under £400 would have felt more comfortable, but, hey, we had a great time!!

The food was beautiful and the staff
Very cute little out house. Just noisey and as I was on my own as a young woman I would have preferred to be somewhere else. You could hear cars all night and people talking. I just woke up every few hours

the room was luminous and beautiful, staff was lovely
it was overpriced for the lack of experiences it offered and the location was far from everything

loved all the details. The home made cookies, bath, and amenities were so dreamy.

The venue is excellent and the staff are incredibly warm and friendly - we also got a room upgrade which was fantastic. The Chef and food was fantastic too!!
Little bit of confusion with the final bill but all was resolved

We had a super comfy nights stay at the Artists Residence. The Shepherds hut had everything we needed. The food and drinks at the pub were ace too!

Staff very friendly
I had to leave before 8AM so no breakfast as they don't start breakfast service until 8AM. Bit miffed about that as it was included in the price and i was hungry.

the size of the bed and bathroom and the fire
breakfast could have been included in the price

Room was cosy and well decorated
Food wasnt as good as I was expecting it to be. Lobster was expensive and chewy

Everything! A charming, unique and unforgettable experience. I wish I was still there and will be back (and next time, they’ll have to evict me)
A later check out would have been nice.. but this is probably because I want to stay forever.

The rooms are located in a very beautiful building, which is decorated in a very welcoming and cosy way.
The staff was overall friendly, and the food delicious. I found the location very convenient to explore some of the surrounding towns.
The only issue I had was a very poor mobile connection but calls from the landlines are fee.

The little touches won out. All the usuals like dressing gown, slippers…. But also homemade cookies in the room, a welcome card, sleep spray… so cute.
Ate in the pub downstairs, very attentive member of staff looked after us all evening.
Unlimited use of the full-size Bramley products made for a lush bath before dinner.
Would love to go back on a warmer summer night when the full garden is open.
I got a splinter on the floorboards :-(
Only minus. But I’ll live!

Lovely cosy atmosphere.
Great place but was definitely overpriced.
Thought it was very overpriced.
Shower seemed to leak out of the door.

Loved the attention to detail, in every way. amenities in the room were so good, right down to bath, smellies, snacks, drinks, robes, all very well thought through, and much appreciated.
Also good to have two charging points for electric cars.
Breakfast was very good indeed and not expensive.

Close to perfection! Beautiful location and room, where every little need and convenience had been considered (spare chargers, lavender pillow spray etc). Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic dinner in the Mason Arms garden and a wonderful breakfast on our terrace. An ideal mini break, and we hope to return soon.

Rooms in my opinion are over priced.

We arrived after a bit of a rainy journey in the dark. The staff were lovely and welcoming especially to my wife on her birthday. The room was beautiful. The Residence was ideally situated for our family to meet us for a walk in Blenheim Palace the next day.

The pub/restaurant Mason Arms had fantastic service and food.
