Great for quiet break and countryside walks. Lovely Breakfast.
Mattress was a bit soft if back problems/aches etc

The full-cooked breakfast is amazing. There's always fresh milk left in the fridge so I can have a cuppa when I arrive. The huge jar of biscuits is a lovely touch, and the Tassimo coffee machine makes for a great start in the morning.
There's also a large Tesco close by, so if you want to buy a microwave dinner and head back to Thorn House for dinner, that's a good option.
However, there's also a great pub just around the corner.
Thorn House is in a quiet location, so you'll get a peaceful night's sleep.

Excellent location. Easy check in fast Wifi. Great Breakfast. Perfect pub withing walking distance. Tasty breakfast.
Separate diner/ sitting area was excellent addtion to the room
Pillow cases fabric not to my liking, felt like immitation synthetic silk, but used under pillows with cotton cases and had no issues.

family run, very friendly and fantastic breakfast

The usual warm welcome and everything that we needed was on hand
Finding any accommodation close to the A14 is difficult. The road system is a mess.

Lovely little self contained ground floor bedroom and lounge/diner. Great tea/coffee facilities and a fridge and microwave. Very warm and cosy during some really horrible weather. Host Alex was friendly and happy to offer advice on the local area. The breakfast served in the lounge/diner was beautifully cooked and presented. Parking was convenient and easy. Local pub ‘The Three Tuns’ has great food.

Given its size not really relevant. The host was very friendly, helpful and approachable and did everything possible to make our stay a very pleasant one.

What a find! Only a mile or so off the busy A14 though you'd never know as located in a quiet backwater near the church in a very pretty village. Nice old pub within easy walking distance. Want a little longer walk? A 1.5 mile stoll past the RSPB lakes will bring you to the River Great Ouse, is there still a ferry across to the Old Ferry Boat Pub I wonder? This B&B has the location with all the facilities you'll need on site and to cap it all, a great start to the day with a substantial English breakfast served with a smile.
Nothing comes to mind!

When i thought i'd lost my new phone charger after returning home, Alex searched for it in the Lodge for me and was happy to return it to me if found. Also we were able to have a full cooked breakfast on our first morning and then change latish in the evening of that day (after a wedding) to have a more simple breakfast on the second morning.

Superb host, very friendly and gave some great tips for the area. Wonderful secluded annex within walking distance of a great pub. The cooked breakfast was really good.

Lovely quiet village. Amazing cooked breakfast brought to the door. Friendly owner. Coffee machine was a bonus.
Wifi could be stronger, shower was quite weak. Another bin on the bathroom would be useful.

Guest house was comfortable and warm in spite of heater in lounge not working. Lots of hot water. Nice to have our own little apartment
Having read the reviews about the marvellous breakfast available whenever you wanted it we were disappointed that it was only served between 7-8.15am so we declined it as we were on holiday and didn't want an early breakfast. Cereal and bread provided but felt a little bit more imagination could have put together a better continental type breakfast. Fruit juice and fresh fruit would have been welcome. We scraped the marmalade jar clean as was nearly empty when we arrived.
Only bin was in kitchen, one in bathroom would have been nice. Also there was no teatowel to dry dishes,
WiFi dropped out completely on second day but this might be a local problem.

Lovely room with good facilities, nice and clean. Liked having the kitchenette area.
There was no menu for breakfast so unsure of what was on the menu. Not given a choice with which toast we would like or offered fruit juice.
Our breakfast plates were still in our room when we came back later in the day. No sign of any housekeeping having taken place either while we were out.

Our Host was respectful, pleasant and apologetic and went out of his way to be helpful.
Although breakfast orders were not always quite right, quality of produce was good and well cooked mostly and came regularly at 8 am .
Useful to have s fridge and to be able to make extra toast , coffee/ tea /milk in fridge.
Lovely not to have to wash up, thank you.
Good shower, comfortable settee & mattress. Interesting books on the local history of local villagez and other factual books of interest. We watched a film saved to his own media channel.
TV in lounge and bedroom.
Close to village centre and Three Tuns pub, a 20 minute walk to the first lake.
Bushes in driveway made getting through by the car awkward.
Shortage of hangers no tea towel, side plates, no hooks on bedroom door to hang bed clothes and dressing gown. Little room by kitchen sink. Not sure hand tiwels, sheets , throw were clean? Chest of draws in bedroom draws stuck , two wouldn't open. Breakfast choices limited / only served at 8 am or earlier. Breakfast tray not cleared away promptly.
