The staff was excellent! They can also arrange for a taxi anywhere you need to go. The room with the open-air bath on the seaside is awesome! Rooms are large as well.
Not much around the hotel

the best ever buffer breakfast in my entire life after traveling 30 countries and 200 hotels.
Varieties of dishes, I could feel the details and efforts of the chef and manager behind the scene, they had strong goal to deliver the best options and delicious breakfast for hotel guests instead of feed your stomach.
I ensure it will be your memorable buffer breakfast in life too
Guess what? The signboard.
I believe nobody will believe that what I say.
This hotel has no English Name of “Prince Hotel” appeals at external building facade, we couldn’t find the hotel even we drove and stop opposite the hotel.

gorgeous luxury hotel with onsens that have ocean views.
amazing buffet (don’t skip the buffet dinner or breakfast) it was unforgettable high quality food and the price point was not bad
we stayed in a traditional room with ocean view and balcony rock bath. it was amazing! I wish we had stayed for another day to Truly enjoy it! private onsen balcony with water from the hot spring overlooking the ocean. it was romantic relaxing and a complete reset.
I would stay again in a heartbeat. don’t hesitate to book and relax, soak, eat and enjoy!
the restaurants onsite do require 24 hour notice to book reservations. the buffets do not.
nothing it was perfect

Breakfast was good and sumptuous but hotel should not chase guest away at 9:30
The futon is too thin

Got very good service from front desk lady Ms. X田 (Sorry, I forgot her last name. She is a very cute young lady). She helped us on 2022/12/19 around 6:00 pm to make restaurant reservations for us patiently and effectively. Thank you~

personal onsen was excellent. breakfast was wonderful
the hotel onsen closed from 10 am to 3 pm which is very long .. Carpark was quite a distance away

Private outside bath facing ocean is unbelievable experience. We tried it several times in the morning and at night.
There were tons of selections for breakfast and dinner buffets.
The bus service from JR Hakodate was inconvenient. It was snowing and cold, no available bus, and we took a taxi to the hotel.

The sea view room with private onsen on the balcony is wonderful. The room is spacious and nicely designed and the view of the ocean is beautiful. The buffet dinner is very good but a little expensive.

Hotel was a little bit strange. We never had a worst first impression of a hotel. We arrived early at noon and the hotel seemed to be abandoned. The entrance outside is not very nice (no to say horrible) for what we were expecting and at the lobby, there was an impressive emptiness. We made the check in and at first we were harschly told that the check in time was at 3 PM, despite we never ask for entering the room before that time! We were also disappointed, that there was no cafe or bar we could enter to wait for the check in time! In the evening we saw a coffee mashine at the lobby (self service), but nobody told us about this "service". The room in contast was very nice! Renovated with a private Onsen with ocean view. The only negative point of the room was the fact that there was no Minibar (there is a fridge but empty) or coffee mashine (only instant coffee). We could find some cups for tea but no teaspoon!!!! The breakfast was ok but I was shocked to see that the guests didn´t used gloves for the buffet, which in times of Covid-19 is very risky! We liked the room with the private onsen, but the rest of the hotel is not very welcoming (specially not for this price!). Before leaving the hotel, we couldn´t find the second keycard, for what the person at the lobby wanted us to pay USD 10.- and this after paying a little bit more than USD 500.- for one night! Fortunately we found the card, because I didn´t want to leave one more cent in this hotel!
Very far away from any tourist attraction of Hakodate! For the rest see above.

A beautiful traditional hotel with wonderful staff, delicious buffet, beautiful views and a private hot spring. Very romantic. What an experience!
