The design is very special, the staff are nice, the food was very good, the view from our room was stunning , the area was good, the fact that we could go to Radu was great option when the sea wasn’t an option.
intimate place a special for couples
The fact that it’s non smoking property it’s something you didn’t mention at your website (booking), there is not music for atmosphere, it’s very nice for couples that want to be in intimate place! we stayed at the top room that was very special and expansive and the problem that we heard all of the noises from the middle room like we stayed at the same room and it’s a shame 😞
and I think that In 11 rooms resort they could communicate with us much more about the activities beside the message they send on arrival .

Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever been to. From arrival till departure, the staff were welcoming and super helpful. The jungle side accommodation is brand new and definitely the best from a pool perspective. Stunning views from the room and delicious cocktails - what more can you ask for?! Will return asap.
Nothing, it was all perfect.

The tranquillity of the surroundings of the hotel itself and the vibe of Tulum, the outdoor shower In the lush Mexican jungle. The beds are like sleeping on a feather . Couldn't fault the unreal converted beach house.
The barman across the sister hotel when we stayed was trying to pull a fast one when it came to paying for drinks.

The property is nicely designed and maintained. Rooms are spacious with incredibly comfortable beds.
Security cameras awkwardly positioned near private areas such as patio and outdoor showers

It’s a wonderful property! The design, decorations and details are wonderful. The staff and in particular the management team attend to every detail to ensure the best experience possible. The breakfast each morning was great with many interesting choices. NU restaurant was also excellent.
The beachfront is experiencing problems with seaweed that is impacting shorelines from the Gulf of Mexico through to The Congo in Africa.

We absolutely loved our stay. My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We booked a trip to Tulum a little last minute because our prior plans fell through, and la valise was amazing - from booking all the way until checkout. They’re super communicative - anytime we had a question or needed something, from coffee delivered to the room in the morning to a shuttle back to Cancun airport - they replied within MINUTES to our request on WhatsApp. They also found out it was our honeymoon at check-in and delivered Prosecco and rose petals to the room as a surprise. Really, exceptional exceptional service.
And the property is BEAUTIFUL!! We had a jungle suite (the one with a roll out bed to the balcony and private terrace) and it was SO QUIET and beautifully furnished. I was worried about bugs, with the outdoor shower / bathroom, but it wasn’t a problem at all. They must treat the property. They also provide bug spray with the shampoo, lotions, etc, which is a nice touch!
All the restaurants are within walking distance, about 10-15 minutes on foot, but the property is its own little oasis.
Oh and the breakfast is INSANE - it’s included, and that includes a juice, a coffee (but think: latté, americano, etc), fruit with yogurt and granola AND a main course that you select from the menu (French toast, chilaquiles, eggs and bacon, etc). Portions are enormous, and my husband eats A LOT. We only ate lunch everyday because we ALSO loved that menu :))
Thank you again, la valise!!! We will be back ❤️
Truly nothing!

Superb property, the concierge team was available via WhatsApp which was really convenient, they helped us book day trips, restaurant reservations etc. one of the best concierge-experiences I've had. Nicely appointed rooms with tons of small details + most importantly a comfy bed + well working ac. The location of the hotel is great, lots of nice restaurants just a short beach walk away.
If I had to pick something, the food wasn’t on the same level as in some of the surrounding hotels. Breakfast avocado toast was ok but not great.

We’ve had the most amazing stay at La Valise. The property is exceptional, very clean, huge comfy beds. The staff are extremely attentive - when you check in they add you to a personalised WhatsApp group so it’s super easy to communicate with them for anything without having to go to reception. we mentioned in passing that we were here to celebrate our anniversary, and when we came back from dinner one night we found our bed covered in rose petals, candles lit and champagne on ice for us - truly such a generous touch! It was such a relaxing stay with plenty of great restaurants and bars down the road too!
no negatives - it was exceptional! the only thing that may be worth noting is depending on which room you’re in (we were jungle facing, front of the hotel) it can get fairly loud music on Fridays and Saturdays from nearby restaurants. not enough to complain / ruin a nights sleep though!

The hospitality
The breakfast
The yoga class
The beach was clean
The lunch menu was reasonably priced in comparison to other places in the area.
Location - little far from the main area
We had credit card problems after we stayed there- a staff member accidentally charged our entire bill even though we already paid in full.

Staff were exceptional. Could not fault anything at all with them.
Not sure why such a high cost. Yes, only 11 rooms, but nothing that justified the very high cost per night. We paid circa 500 usd a night for a standard room.
