Great location also, nice atmosphere
Staff should be a bit better trained for hospitality, i didn’t always feel welcome.
Cleaning should be better, i booked the presidential suite but the jakuzi was not cleaned properly, there were stains and also a small water lake at the bottom when we arrived i wiped it myself to use it

Lovely small boutique place, with little swimming pond. Spacious rooms and nice quiet atmosphere
We had room number 1 which was situated right in front of the reception and as such not the most quiet or private room.

Very good stay with everything you need. Nice staff, pool and breakfast. Good location. Perfect for few days in the city.
Improve the cleaning especially on the floor and under the bed.

I have been traveling to Mérida for the 3 years. For the last two years, I’ve stayed at casa tavera exclusively.
Veronica, Axel, Emmanuel, and the rest of her team go above and beyond excellent service. They are attentive, approachable, and incredibly kind.
The hotel itself is beautiful with large rooms and well stocked amenities. They prepare breakfast each morning for all guests and take great care in ensuring the hotel is peaceful and refined. The rooms smell gorgeous and are a reprieve from the hot days in the city.
Recently, I stayed in Mérida for an extended period of time. I needed access to work space and WiFi for work and Veronica ensured I had access to everything I needed, even while I was not a guest during my time in the city. I can’t thank and commend this hotel enough. I will be returning in six months to Mérida and will stay again at casa tavera.
I have only enjoyed all aspects of my stays at casa tavera. The pool and amenities are peaceful. On occasion the area is loud but that’s the neighborhood. Not the hotel.

Casa Tavera feels like your own private day spa. Complete with a private courtyard pool, complimentary drinks and breakfast served just outside your room the Presidential Suite had us feeling like royalty. The staff were just amazing!
Nothing, this place is a gem!

Veronica made sure I felt like Royalty the entire stay. It all really started at the beginning. She was so completely gracious and sincere. This is I got to speak to her more across my state made me realize how authentic she is and how at home I felt the breakfast this morning was extraordinary. There is not a detail missed at the property. It’s gorgeous to look at and it’s tremendously comfortable. It will located to museums, entertainment, and restaurants. I especially like agua frescas at the local restaurants two blocks away. It is a complete oasis. Veronica also sent me info to all the attractions I could do in and around Mérida. Hector was also very attentive last evening whether it was a drink or help with reservations at a restaurant I had interest in. Everyone was extremely friendly and delightful. Veronica also told me what each of the Mayan names were for each room and lastly helped me find tile company like that makes tile like the gorgeous one in the lobby. She single handedly made me want to stay longer.
I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay longer.

We could not have had a better stay at Casa Tavera. We started each day with a delicious breakfast seated on the outdoor terrace, with friendly and accommodating service by the staff. The young man at the concierge was extremely helpful, making suggestions for nearby activities and organising the hotel's taxi driver to take us to a few nearby Cenotes.
The location of the hotel was also a big positive - there are dozens of fantastic restaurants and bars in the adjacent blocks, and being only a short walk away from the Paseo de Montejo and the city centre made it easy to get around Mérida.
The pool area was a beautiful spot to relax in the afternoons and the cool water was a welcome refuge from the heat.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with good air conditioning, and was always cleaned well when we came back to it. The staff at Casa Tavera went above and beyond to make it a great stay and we definitely want to come back soon!

The staff, Veronica and Axel, were wonderful! They were very attentive, gracious and warm. I would highly recommend this small boutique hotel experience! The facilities are beautiful and located close to everything.

Fantastic boutique hotel, with and unbeatable location and friendly staff!
Beautiful and well kept facilities, with spacious rooms and an awesome and delicious breakfast. I was surprised to see that breakfast was included!
Multiple dinning and bar options within walking distance and just a block away from beautiful Paseo Montejo.
The Manager (Veronica) help us schedule a tour and was a great experience. All the staff was really friendly and always helpful.

When we arrived we were greeted as if they we waiting for only us. Very accommodating and attentive. The location is deceiving as it is in the middle of a regular street. What a wonderful surprise when the door to Casa Tavera was opened to us.
There were many items displayed for sale as you walk to your room; I would have loved to have known more about the artists/seamstress’ and encouraged to browse. I did, however love that facts they I was not expected to buy anything. (I will return for this beauty dress I saw)

beautiful room, great location, I particularly like that you’re in the centre of the city but it feels very quiet and relaxing by the pool area.
I’m not a big fan of continental breakfasts

Attention to detail and excellent service
No window except in bathroom which was unreachable

The breakfast was the best continental breakfast I have ever had, with fresh fruit and bread!

I highly recommend this hotel, it was our oasis in Merida and Yucatan. The room was nicely decorated, well lit and everything was clean and smelling very fresh and nice. The bed was very comfortable with soft sheets. The pool and internal courtyard was well maintained and beautiful. Clean towels were provided by the pool all the time. The breakfast was very tasty and we had the best coffee in Yucatan in this hotel. All the staff was so nice and helpful and they went above and beyond and help us ordering pizza in the night, give us tips and general recommendations of where to go in the city. It was an excellent hotel and overall experience.
We were not bothered but there is a bar close to the hotel that plays live music in the evening so can be a bit noisy in the evening. Earplugs are provided by the hotel so they thought of everything.

Excellent location. Fantastic service, they were very helpful in every sense. The room was very nicely decorated and properly equipped, and breakfast was great everyday. We highly recommend it

The property is a beautiful old house, decorated very tastefully. The room is big and the bathroom great with a nice bathtub. Service was amazing. The place is romantic and calm.
Breakfast was a little bit simple, but cookies were good.

Absolutely gorgeous room (we were on the top floor), unbeatable location.
The hot water in the shower occasionally took a while to turn on, but once it did, the shower was great. Additionally, the very central location meant that it was often noisy at night.

The service was amazing. They really help us to make the best out of our stay.

This property is really exceptional. It’s in a great location, 1 block from Calle 60 in Centro. We were a 5-10 minute walk from restaurants, bars, theaters, and parks. The building and rooms are stunning, clean, and well maintained. The staff were the best part of our stay. Always friendly, helpful, and generous. we would stay here again.
