Had an amazing weekend/stay in San Francisco. The property was exactly as shown on vrbo. Only thing not shown was property rule book but they were not so much rules but an asking of guests to treat the property with care, it also had general information on how to operate the shower and tv. A very handy thing to have so much appreciated. I mainly spoke with James and he was very much a kind and considerate host. Would recommend or revist in the future if i stay in the area.

James & Candy are two of the nicest people ever! My wife & I are baseball fans & booked this trip to see The Oakland Coliseum & Oracle Park. Shortly after I completed my booking, James began his great communication by providing some useful suggestions regarding each ballpark & their respective driving/parking situations. A few days before our check-in, James sent a note regarding the weather forcast & suggested we bring jackets. When we arrived, James & Candy were outside waiting to welcome us. They both engaged us in a nice conversation before showing us to the room, which had it's own private entrance. The room had a comfortable queen bed, with a sofa, 20" TV, VCR, DVD, U-verse with HBO, bathroom with walk-in shower, hotel style soaps & shampoo, clean towels & wash cloths everyday, and acess to their utility room which had a small refrigerator & microwave for our use. On top of all that, they offered us breakfast every morning we were there! If my wife & I ever return to the SF area, we will DEFINITELY try to stay with James & Candy again.

This comfy, private and restful room is perfect for me. I love the setting which is cozy and warm. I have visited twice now—in Dec for 5 nights to enjoy Christmas with my family in nearby San Mateo. This visit was in April for 6 nights and it was cool and breezy; to me a southern Californian it felt like another winter visit. I am looking forward to another visit when the days are warm in the summer and I can enjoy sitting on the wonderful patio next to the beautiful back yard with the many colorful trees (redwood, Japanese maple, Oak, and bottlebrush) along with the blooming orchids. What a peaceful beautiful setting fully enjoyed with the blinds open when I was in my room. Thank you James and Candace for your fantastic hospitality! My coffee and breakfasts were perfect. And I sleep better here than I do at home!

We can only say good things about this accomodation. Our hosts were simply wonderful, offering great breakfasts as well as many tips on things to do and see in the San Francisco area and advice on services in the Burlingame area. The room was perfect for our needs, clean, well-outfitted, and enabled us to come and go at our pleasure without inconveniencing our hosts.

Everything was wonderful during my stay in Burlingame while I visited my daughter, son in law, and three adult grandsons who live in San Mateo. I loved the quiet neighborhood with such pretty, vintage homes. The grove of redwood trees and lovely garden right outside the door of my unit were so peaceful and private. As an octogenarian walking with a cane because of an ankle injury, I found the well-lit path and 2 steps to my own entrance very safe and secure. The well equipped small apartment with private bath and good heating was perfect with a queen bed, a couch, a desk, comfortable chair, TV, videos, sets of drawers, plenty of side tables, and a roomy closet along with a luggage rack for the room. The lighting was superb, even brighter and better than that in my bedrooms at home. Each night I enjoyed coming back to my own space and a retreat until morning, when I was welcome to come upstairs for a home cooked, delicious breakfast prepared by James and his wife Candice. I also had a hot beverage available in my unit at anytime I wished. I was very blessed with this wonderful retreat when deciding to travel at the last minute. In the future I plan to book this room early whenever I travel north to visit my family.
