A friendly place to stay

The hotel is well situated. Our room had lovely views across the water to the old part of town. The breakfast which was included in our room rate was good but the best part of this hotel was the lovely helpful friendly staff.

The hotel is well located for accessing key tourist sights in town. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The bartender was quite helpful.

We were checked in by someone who is either new and poorly trained or simply in the wrong business. The other attendant overheard our less than cordial welcome and sketchy information regarding reaching local places of interest. Rather than jump in and correct her colleague, she followed us to the elevator and gave a friendly welcome and great advice regarding food and entertainment. I wish I had caught her name. She deserves a bonus.

Vi var veldig fornøyet med oppholdet. Vi følte oss veldig velkommen, og beliggenheten var perfekt.

Frokosten var veldig god. Personalet var blide og hyggelige, og tilbød oss kaffe og te mens vi satt og slappet av, mens vi ventet på å bli hentet.

Jeg likte ikke så godt at baderomsdøren var gjennomskinnelig, slik at hele soverommet/ stuen ble opplyst, når en skulle på toalettet om natten, for det forstyrret den andre, som sov og ble vekket av lyset. Det kunne kanskje vært et svakere nattlys? Proppen i vasken satt ikke fast, og det kunne vært fort gjort å miste en ring eller smykke ned der. Det kunne vært noen knagger på badet til å henge opp tøyet sitt, som en tar av seg for å dusje eller skifte på deg.

Kjempegod frukost, kjempehyggelig personell! Fint bad.

Veldig lite og trangt rom. Stod i bestilling at det var minibar samt tv på rommet, men det var det ikkje. Litt kronglete å finne fram til rommet då ein måtte ta heis til ein etasje, gå gjennom etasjen og opp ei trapp for å komme til riktig etasje og rommet.

Bergen, Bryggen e una colazione mancata

La vista dalla camera, proprio sul Bryggen. La colazione abbondante e varia. I piumoni sul letto, super morbidosi. La posizione dell'hotel, a pochi passi dal Fisketorget, dal Bryggen e dalla funivia per la vista panoramica su tutta Bergen

Una mattina avevamo un'escursione molto presto, tipo alle 6.40 dovevamo uscire dall'albergo. La sera prima abbiamo chiesto alla ragazza alla reception se potevano prepararci un panierino con colazione da asporto. Ci ha risposto che non era possibile, che quell'ora era troppo presto. E ci ha consigliato una panetteria, offrendoci il 10% di sconto se presentavamo il biglietto da visita dell'hotel. In realtà quando siamo scesi dalla camera, il personale addetto alle colazioni era già all'opera, quindi non capisco quale fosse l'impedimento a metterci in una busta due panini col prosciutto cotto, due succhi di frutta e due ciambelline. Non è che pretendevo le uova fritte col bacon, non adatte al take away. Peccato che oltretutto la panetteria consigliataci apriva alle 9.00

Nice rental apartment in a great location.

The apartment we rented was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. Good beds and linens. The location was nicely located in the waterfront area of historic Bergen. We would rent it again.

No parking available on site, but that is common in this part of Bergen. Parking facility available a few blocks away. Unloading and loading our rental car in front of the apartment building was not a problem.

Magnificent hotel next the famous fish market.

Amazing view! Our rooms faced the waterfront, harbour and fish market. Comfy and spacious designer rooms (although ours did not have any wardrobe). Heavenly good breakfast.

No cupboards in the room. Just a few hooks.

Great location! Close to the fish market & Bybannen. Easy walk to the Bybannen airport tram. Great breakfast with a range of options, including a separate station for gluten free bread and cake. Some vegan options

A szálloda mellett közvetlenül egy élelmiszerbolt (REMA 1000) található található. A személyzet kedves és segítőkész. A becsekkolás 15:00 előtt (12:00-kor) már lehetséges volt, kicsekkolás időpontja 12:00.

A papucsot, a kávét és a minibárt hiányoltuk valamint összesen 12 tévécsatorna volt elérhető, abból 8 norvég nyelven.

A lovely hotel with perfect location in the heart of Bergen!

I loved the view from our room and the breakfast was great. Also nice atmosphere in the lobby and bar, and of course a perfect location in the middle of the city centre and right by the harbour.

A bit noisy surroundings during the night, probably because of a nightclub nearby.

Was a nice hotel.. love the location and the reception desk!! Need to fix the lighting in the bathrooms

The property is an excellent location to the speed boats up the coast and to the downtown area!!! The receptionists (3 of them we met) were superb!!! Very helpful and outgoing!! A true asset to your hotel!!!

The bathroom lighting was too low!! The extra mirror helped some but the bathroom needs more overhead direct lighting!! The breakfast was ok!! Not up to Scandic hotels level …

The location was excellent, close to the restaurants, the harbour, shops , fish market. the breakfast was nice. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent! it was noisy , people were making noise upstairs early hours of the morning and we couldn’t sleep, you can hear music from the town . the room was cold , we were given a little heater but it was really not good enough.

1 Night in Bergen

Staff are welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is in a great central location, close to shops, restaurants, cafes. Its an easy walk to the train station, and the light rail that takes you to and from the airport. Excellent breakfast. This was my second stay at the hotel, and I will stay here again when in Bergen.

Ubicación excelente, súper céntrico. Cerca de la oficina de turismo. Desayuno tipo buffet de 10. Muy rico y variado. Hotel nuevo, buena decoración. Recepción 24h. La habitación que nos dieron era muy amplia y con vistas. Baño moderno. Dan toalla grande, pequeña y útiles de aseo (gel, champú y crema hidratante). Hay secador.

La cama supletoria no es muy cómoda (era una habitación para 3). El café de máquina de la habitación no era muy bueno (pero es gratis).

Very good

We booked the Magic appartments at Kloverhuset. Excellent location. Unbelievable view from the appartment and the balcony overlooking the harbor of Bergen. Perfectly soundproof eventhough there is a very busy area outside. Very new, spacious and fresh appartment.

The first impression is disappointing and that is because of the main entrance. The property is situated very central in Bergen. The reception seen in the pictures belongs to the nearby hotel from the same brand and it is where you do the check in. The entrance to the actual appartment is through a side building. Very aged, very worn. You go up to your floor through an aged and very small elevator and have to walk at least 30 meters through an outside corridor through a dirty terrace. In that way you come in to the main building where the appartment is located. By then you expect the worse, But... as soon as you come to the appartment everything changes, it is like you have been transfered to another building... and you can not believe the views. The appartment itself is very fresh and new, obviously totaly renovated with a good taste concerning the materials used. So if one can survive the first experience (mainly because of the entrance) the appartment itself is excelent!

Very disapponting stay

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment for two nights. Unfortunately they gave our apartment to someone else. Instead they split my family into twin rooms where I had to sleep on a camp bed and made us move the next morning to a 2 bedroom apartment which was again not what we had booked. Location was great, just a very disapponting stay on a family stay my family had to be split up and wasted a lot of time queuing, being made to check in twice and speaking to staff.

Needs better cleaning. Otherwise staff was very friendly. Also appreciated the free-to-borrow umbrellas.

Cleaning was sub par. They never cleaned the floors of our room. Very dirty and dusty and you had to wipe your feet before getting in bed because they’d get so dirty just walking around the room. Also you can’t change the thermostat.

Great stay in Bergen. Would definitely recommend.

Great location; engaging, friendly staff and really cool vibe. Showers were a little messy, spraying everywhere, but all rooms were different so maybe it was just ours. Comfy beds, great breakfast, beautiful views.
