The staff was wonderful, every staff was superior. The beach was close by, the views and access were unparalleled.
There isn’t airport transportation included as advertised, the beds were uncomfortable and the food options were very limited.

The location was beautiful, I couldn't have asked for better. The Duty manager Joie was the reason our stay was wonderful and why I would come back again while he was still employed there. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made up for the shortcomings of the resort which are out of the staff's control. I could not have had a better experience thanks to the staff, without them, it would have been dreadful.
No tours or information at the resort, the duty manager helped us by giving out information about the surrounding attractions etc. We would have been lost without this. No general information was available about the area unless you ask staff, no brochures, information, nothing. Staff are working with limited supplies, and no water on arrival, which happened twice.

The property is located on an island, a less than 5 min boat ride. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Nice food. From your room door to the beach is 10 seconds.
We arrived at the property on a Monday and until Thursday morning we didn’t have water. We were not communicated about this until we asked why there was no water. On one of the nights one of the staff offered to take us across back to their home so we could shower which was nice of them. Perhaps it wasn’t a fault of the property but made our stay very difficult as we have a child under 2 years of age. In return the property offered us a bottle of water.

Very good cook (the pizza was the best I've enjoyed in years) and very helpful bar manager Joey. The island setting is attractive, while only 5 minutes' boat ride from Lautoka.
The resort seemed barely ready for clients on our arrival on May 26, with the breakfast service only established the following day, after my complaint that no cereal was available. Other issues included a previous customer's flannel in the bathroom, no coathangers and a window with no curtain or blind, and the pool still unprepared, with dirty looking water. Initially the only coffee sachets available in the resort were decaffeinated, and it was disappointing that even the restaurant only offered instant coffee. The boat service was usually good, but on one occasion the jetty officer on the mainland wasn't able to contact the island for 20 minutes, leaving us to wonder how much longer we'd have to wait.

facilities really need some upgrading

The staff were lovely and always welcoming. The gardener was really kind and got us coconuts off the trees for the kids to try. The villa was right on the beach so beautiful to sit on the deck and wake up to the water.
We were able to get the boat to the mainland whenever necessary and utilised the supermarket that was nearby. The whole family enjoyed the use of the snorkels, kayaks, and paddle boards. The jet ski and couch were fun but a little expensive for 15 minutes. The bouncy castle was a hit with our young children.
I had contacted the resort before we went to check they could cater to our coeliac daughter and myself. Unfortunately, the choices were very limited and potatoes for breakfast every day was not ideal. The continental breakfast was lacking in general. Corn bread, muffins and sausages one morning. We had to ask for fruit and additional items most mornings. The lunch and dinner menu were very basic and mostly fast foods which wasn't ideal for a 7 day stay.
The trip that we paid for from the resort to another island for snorkelling was disappointing and expensive for what it was. The island was covered in rubbish and the snorkelling experience was not what had been described. The provided lunch was also basic.
Luckily I checked the invoice before paying as we were overcharged by nearly $700 FJD and they add on a %5 for paying by credit card.

The view.
Plastic bottles on beach. Everything looked like it needed a coating of paint including the boat. Had to request wifi for the room. No real coffee maker. Breakfast was lame. Got charged an additional 5% credit card fee when paying for the stay that was not advertised. Broken stuff all over the property. Delapitated buildings on the property. Boards broken on the decks.

Location of the bure was right on the water and we could snorkel and swim whenever we wanted. Free, reliable and frequent boat to transfer to Lautoka for day trips and transfers.
Joeli was a great host - friendly and super helpful to us in assisting our onward travel plans.
Took a day or so to get pool towels and bathroom soap.

The staff were wonderful, caring, friendly, funny and accomodating. The food was great and the cocktails delicious. The resort is very pretty from the front and our room was on the sea front and lovely and spacious, the bird song in the morning was lovely and in just a few steps we could be floating in the sea.
I think the resort has recently changed hands so things are changing, but, for instance, there is nowhere to hang swimwear to dry, or hooks inside, we had to ask for a bowl to rinse the sand from our feet, just little things that make staying for a while easier. But the main issue is the rubbish that is generated by running a resort with a great restaurant and bar - it is obvious this has not been responsibly dealt with in the past and there is work to do to sort that out. But I was told this is being cleared up and sorted out during the next couple of weeks.

Great staff very welcoming! Great boat service between town and the island ! They upgraded us to a bungalow with sea view!
The resort is under a huge well needed remodeled the pool was close and lots of construction going on! so probably it was open a bit too early to the tourists industry but once remodeled is over it will be a great little resort ! Definitely would come back too !

It is a very unique property in a lot of different ways. It is on a private island just off the coast of Lautoka (city and port.) The resort runs a shuttle boat back and forth for guests and staff. The staff could not have been nicer, they treated us like family! Our spacious bure was just a few feet from the beach so we could enjoy the ocean sounds 24/7. Because they were not busy, they were allowing families from town to visit as guests which we enjoyed. It would have been lonely without them.
The resort is a "work in progress." It was the Bekana Garden Island Resort but had fallen into disrepair. When we were there, the pool area was not being maintained and was not open. Our air conditioner blew out the breaker board and they had to get an electrician from town to come fix it. No good snorkeling close enough to access that we could find (and no snorkeling equipment.)
Also, they were not able to accept CREDIT CARDS. We had to go to town to access an ATM so we could pay cash!

Amazing, friendly staff that went out of their way to make us comfortable. The water taxi was always available and easy to get to and from the mainland.
The cooked breakfast portions could have been bigger and more variety, but the pancakes and fruit options were wonderful.

Staff the best customer service. LOVED JO one of the workers. Plus, OWER MR ANDREW! ❤️ Also liked, free boat shuttle to the main land. Because their food so expensive we went to Lautoka often to eat. Free equipment.
