Lovely room and amazing food
1.5
The room was good, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, plenty tea and coffee.
The noise from the kitchen fan below was very loud. I complained about this and was told the fan would be switched off by 9pm which it was the first night but two of the three remaining nights the fan ran all night albeit at a lower speed therefore quieter but still noisy.

Good, large room in pub, with food available.

The room at the Globe Inn, Alvington was furnished to a really high standard. It was like staying in a home away from home. It was very clean, comfortable and ideal for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and the food from the restaurant was delicious. The slow-roast pork belly dish was amazing!
5.0
very clean and cozy. food was amazing with decent potions. Staff were very friendly
only thing that could have been improved was that they have a couple of high tables used to seat guests for meals within a couple of feet from the bar, this made it difficult to order drinks if there was already someone propping up the bar and no where to stand/sit and drink without booking a table.

Check-In was very straightforward and the staff were very friendly. There is a separate entrance to the rooms which is ideal if you prefer to be more private. The room was a lot bigger than expected and included a cupboard space to hang clothes. The shower room was modern with good water pressure. The TV was great...very big.
Not really much to dislike. My only thing to note is that the nearby sockets are difficult to get to (behind the bedside table).

great spot for exploring the area

No Breakfast
4.5
No breakfast available but we didn't really need one after the previous evening 's meal which was very impressive-both the food and excellent service. The atmosphere in the restaurant was extremely buoyant, the owners extremely professional and a good time had by all! The wine list could be expanded(in my humble opinion).
The staircase leading to the rooms needs re-decorating- not a good first impression.
No soap dish in shower - it's a long bend down for us senior citizens!
No easy parking when busy but that seems to be intractablea

The room was so lovely and comfortable. The staff were really friendly!
The pub noise and road noise was really loud. You could smell smoke in the room when people were smoking outside.
Also such a shame there was no breakfast.

Beautiful little village pub with room. Lovely location and very good room with an incredible bathroom and the most comfortable bed.
Traffic noises due to the road but I had the windows open so that’s mostly my own fault.
4.5
Very friendly, spotless, great food, good bar. No complaints.
There is no breakfast (Coffee House in Bream was excellent). But that really is the only issue
3.5
Well located, clean accommodation at a reasonable price. The pub was nice and my evening meal was excellent, with the staff very helpful and polite. Comfy bed and modern en suite bathroom.
It was the hottest week of the year but room fans aren’t provided as standard, although one was given to me after I asked. Also the larger of the two windows (sash window) wouldn’t open despite best efforts, so the room was pretty warm all night. Whilst not an issue for me (deep sleeper), the room was above the kitchens and so the extractor fan units were on all night, which could be an issue for light sleepers given their dull humming noise. Also, the car park isn’t the biggest so you may not be guaranteed a parking space if arriving at tea time when the pub is busy.
1.5
Excellent food, good decor in the room.
Stayed in room 3 - avoid if you want a good sleep. Extremely noisy extractor fans and refrigeration equipment running all night in the kitchen below. Main window couldn’t be opened making the room very hot. No breakfast available which is not clear on Booking.com.
4.5
A warm welcome and stylish comfortable rooms.
Sealant under shower screen needed replacing in what was otherwise a lovely bathroom with very nice toiletries.
3.0
The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The pub itself is nice and food was excellent.
The hallway to the room smelt constantly of cigarette smoke, and the room began to smell like smoke in the evening, as if someone were smoking in the next room. It spoilt an otherwise comfortable enough stay for me.
The room was also quite noisy being right on a fairly busy road, regardless of whether windows were closed or not. This is just the nature of the pub's location, but something to be aware of.

Location, staff, atmosphere, food choice of beverage all excellent.
Only an overnight stop but very enjoyable.
3.5
Lovely place to stay and the staff were excellent. The food was brilliant, definitely needed to book before as it was very busy. We had a double room with the bath and it was very good for relaxing in. There was tea and coffee in the room and a TV. The bed was very comfortable.
The only down side was that our bedroom was located to a very noisey vent outside, this kept us up most of the night, as there was a lot of slamming noises, coming from it. Not sure if this was due to the storm, but I think it needs looking into. Also the fire alarm went off at 02:30am, which was an unpleasant surprise.
