Staff was great in helping with choices of restaurants nearby for dinner. Water view from our rooms though the water wasn't calm enough to be defined as a fjord. Kaupanger stave church and car ferry pier nearby if your next stop is Flam.
Sogndal is a very very small town with nothing to do. I booked this hotel because I made a wrong booking about the cruise. No restaurant for dinner in the hotel, but there are some nearby. Not enough space for parking.

the location is excellent near the sea.

We stayed for one night. The Pool is heated, very pleasant and clean. The garden and views over the fjord are beautiful. You can use the rowing boats for free. Breakfast was nice. The rooms simple but clean and renovated. The location is great, you can walk to restaurants.

Wonderful location, elegant interior, tasty breakfast.
There was no laundry service in the hotel or in the area.

Super nice staff
Room was a bit small and awkward layout

It’s a beautiful hotel, with an amazing view and a clear heritage.

Room was very comfortable,a great bed, a clever way to organise the shower in a small bathroom. Great views on the fjord, with a small balcony. Great location.
Staff was really helpful, we rented ebikes to go around the fjord ! Really amazing stay !
Breakfast was ok, but could have had a bit more choices

We enjoyed the breakfast. The room we had was beautiful, and we had our own balcony where we enjoyed the evenings and mornings. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
We had a large family room with two floors, and it was very hot in the upstairs, even with all the windows open.

The hotel is very elegant
Breakfast was poor with "supermarket" qulity

Loved that the property was located right on the Fjord-front. Great views.
Decent breakfast spread
Rooms on the upper levels can only be accessed via stairs, might be a little troublesome for those with luggages.

The location and views from the back of the building were excellent. the breakfast was ok. They did have a toaster.
Only had an option of two hit foods for breakfast. No tea or coffee facilities in the room or elsewhere - reception had to boil the kettle to give me a cup of hot water to make tea

Great location
Amazing view of the fjord from our room
Heated swimming pool
Free parking available, plus a few EV chargers (operated by PlugPay)
Nice looking historic hotel
No elevator, so had to carry the luggage upstairs
The price of the electric charging was a bit unreasonable (almost 10 NOK per KWH for slow charging - at night), but that is probably not the fault of the hotel

Great location and view, both Molden and the Nigardsbreen glacier are easily accessible. The hotel has good facilities and lots of parking. Good breakfast.
Even though there is EV charging on-site which is very convenient, the electricity rate is 3x higher than what you get elsewhere. The room is quite small and the shower even more so - very difficult to get in.

Excellent location. Breakfast good.
4.1
Lovely location, helpful staff good breakfast.
The hotel generally seemed rather dated.
Old carpets, 70's wallpaper.
"Tired" bathroom, very old tiles.
Very disappointing that what seemed a nice hotel couldn't offer an evening meal.
4.1
The bed was comfortable. Room had a nice balcony with a beautiful view. Hotel had free parking available. An outdoor heated swimming pool was available.
Breakfast was ok, but not great. The room looked quite dated (as in 1970-s). The bathroom was way too narrow and not really comfortable.

the room small a bit

I love this hotel. Its very cosy and beautifully decorated. I used the outdoors swimming pool which has lovely views to the lake and fjord. Beautiful surroundings. Staff friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel very much. Lovely building. Great views to the lake and fjord from the room and very nice breakfast.

Beautiful location, lovely staff
There was nothing in the room, no coffee / tea supplied or even a kettle. The tv was very old and no channels were working / watchable etc

Good location and comfortable bed
No coffee making facility in the room. Restaurant didn’t open for dinner until 8.30 which is late when you’ve been driving all day and you’re tired. Bathroom was very small.

The hotel is right at a fjord so the view is stunning. We got an upgrade for a seaview room and were very grateful.
It was the start of the tiny showers ans trying to keep the place dry and the breakfast was very standard with ready made plates of cheese and ham, although the view could make up for it. There is also not much to do in this location, which was okay, because we only travelled through.

Location, pool, charming
