About this house rental
The space
This charming 2 bedroom home is in Seattle's Madison Valley neighborhood.
After parking in your dedicated off-street parking space beside the house, enter the home on its entertaining level. Here you will find hardwood floors and a bright, airy open space. It will quickly become clear that the home, built in 2005, was meticulously cared for by its owner since then.
KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM
The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
The open concept entertaining area continues to the living room, featuring a gas fireplace, flat screen tv with a nicely loaded cable package, DVD player, and a queen size sleeper sofa (with highest end sofa bed mattress on the market) for larger groups. There is also a half bathroom on this level.
BEDROOM/BATHROOM
Up a flight of stairs are the sleeping quarters with two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom features a *king size bed* and ample closets. The second bedroom offers great flexibility, as it is furnished with three twin beds, including a twin over twin bunk bed (solid and sturdy --- not just for kids!). Between the bedrooms is a full bathroom with modern fittings and fixtures. A full sized washer/dryer round out the upper floor. While you might not want to do laundry on vacation, you'll be glad to have the option in a pinch!
Note that while the home sleeps 7 (including the comfortable sleeper sofa), the bathroom count is 1.5. Plan accordingly!
Each of our homes has been decorated to pay homage to a meaningful facet of our lives. This home features market places from around the world.

Interaction with guests
Your hosts, Andy and Lynne, live right around the corner. Unless we are out of town, we are here to welcome you and help you with any of your needs during your stay. We are happy to offer you advice for sightseeing, restaurant recommendations, and even some budget saving tips and coupons.
Guests will receive, in advance, our comprehensive homemade visitors' guide to Seattle, packed with our personal recommendations for dining, activities, and much more.
Do you plan to cook during your stay? By special advanced arrangement (depending on availability), we will fulfill your grocery list and have your home stocked for your arrival.
The neighborhood
Your hosts made Madison Valley their home when first settling in Seattle ... and haven't looked back since.
We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington.
Once you have worked up your appetite, enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ("Little Paris") has to offer. In addition to French gems, try our favorite tapas restaurant or the best Japanese food east of Tokyo. Take your morning coffee in one of numerous bakeries. Or opt for Thai, pan-Asian, craft pizza, Tex-Mex or more.
Our home provides easy access to Downtown (Pikes Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Great Wheel), Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum), South Lake Union (MOHAI), University of Washington, and Capitol Hill. All are accessible by car, bus (numerous bus lines a few blocks from home), or for the adventurous, by foot.
If all of this touring (and eating) has you tired, pamper yourself with a visit to a day spa or nail salon. There are several of each within a few blocks of home, and we are happy to point you in the right direction.
Getting around
We live a few short blocks from bus lines that will take you to Seattle's numerous neighborhoods (Madison Park, Capitol Hill, Downtown, Belltown, Seattle Center, South Lake Union). Queen Anne, Ballard, and Fremont are more easily accessed by car. Our home offers off-street parking for one car. Street parking for additional cars is plentiful and free.

We were happy with our stay at this property. The beds were clean and comfortable. Communication and checkin processes went smoothly. Thanks!

The house was fine and generally as advertised but the WiFi never worked. We told the host immediately. It took about 24 hours to hear that they were working on it. However, during our 4-day stay we did not hear back and it never worked.

Overall a good place to stay with family. Parking a bit of a tight squeeze. Hosts communicated well :-)

This is a lovely house - clean, comfortable and convenient - in a perfect location to access Seattle-area attractions.

We were very pleased with the location of our property. It was well stocked with the exception of no coffee or any condiments or snacks. It did have salt, pepper and sugar. Please be aware you will need to provide everything although there is a grocery within walking distance. We did not utilize the second bedroom but the bed in the master was very firm.
4.8
We had ample room for 2 adult couples- comfortable beds, heat controllers in each bedroom and a separate one downstairs. The updated space was clean and crisp. Communication and info provided is top notch. Nice neighborhood for walking (lots of hills) and easy drive to nice restaurants, coffee, groceries.

Great location close to many restaurants convenient parking

Was close to where they needed to be. Has everything needed.

This prodery was perfect! It was very comfortable and clean. Our son enjoyed the bunk bed quite a bit. Some of the small things really made it, such as the water filter in the fridge or the keyless entry. Lynne was available for questions and responded very quickly. The location was perfect. Good food within walking distance and central to all of the wonderful things we were in Seattle to see.

The house was located close to the events we were participating in. We were able to take walks in the neighborhood. However, alot of construction. The house was clean but no AC. Once the windows were opened it stayed cool. The owners were very quick to deal will small issues. We would recommend this house to friends and family.

Myself and my elderly father stayed here. The house was perfect for the two of us. We had all the alone and together time we needed. We will be back :)

Enjoyed everything about the place EXCEPT the king-size bed. I found it very uncomfortable--slept terribly. Everything else was great!

Property managers were in constant contact, easy to reach and quite flexible.

We had a great time. Close to everywhere we wanted to visit and the place was clean and comfy

Property is well loved. My boys & I enjoyed the comforts & amenities. We were able to go to our 1st Seahawks game & then come “home” for DoorDash delivery This was the perfect weekend & perfect place for my family.

The closeness of the Seattle downtown are was awesome! The house was clean and the assigned parking was very nice.

Owners were amazing with great communications made the stay extremely easy.
4.8
House was clean, owners were very responsive and reaching out if we needed anything since day one.
4.8
Property is very close to some friends' house, so we were there mostly to sleep and have breakfast. Place was clean, easy to access and Lynne was quick to respond to text messages. Smoke detector in the upstairs hallway was chirping when we arrived; ended up replacing the battery ourselves. Otherwise, smooth sailing.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay and loved being able to walk to restaurants and to the arboretum.
4.8
Convenient place to stay with a family. it was in a nice quiet neighbourhood. Not much in walking distance, but either drive or get an uber was very easy to get around. The one bedroom has 3 single beds, the in the photo the one seems a bit larger, not a big deal, but good to know.

Overall we had a good experience with this rental. The communication between the property management company was good. House was ready at the agreed upon time and was very clean.
We had a little trouble finding it initially, but that may have just been me and my bad sense of directions. The off street parking was not big enough for my vehicle due to garbage can storage and another vehicle that was parked there, but there was plenty of street parking.
Location is a little far away from the main Seattle sights - about 15 mins - but it was quiet.
My girls complained their beds werent the most comfortable, but the main bed was fine.
The kitchen had just the basics. No extra seasonings or other condiments that you sometimes find in a vacation rental. Not a big deal. But just an FYI
My only complaint was that I notified the property manager about ants in the 2nd bedroom. The only reply I got was a link to the handbook that said to let them know about the ants and that they would bring ant traps. I knew what I was suppose to do (notify them) and I was doing what they wanted me to by letting them know. They never brought the ant traps. We just vacuumed a bunch of times.
Overall. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this rental to others.

This was very close to our family. Great location.

Beautiful neighborhood that made it easy to Uber anywhere we needed in our short stop before leaving on a cruise. I got up and walked to neighborhood coffee shops and the early June flowers were everywhere.

Terrific little duplex in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. Easy access to much of Seattle as well points east. A fresh coat of paint and new carpet would have me happily paying even more on a next visit!

Wonderful experience! Check in process was awesome! Property was very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed to save some money and cook at home!

The house was great and included all we needed. Located in an amazing spot in a nice quiet neighborhood to play tourist as everything is within 25 min. I would definitely stay here again.

Property was as advertised. We are a family of 5 who spent 5 days taking day trips in the Seattle area and found the beds to be comfortable when we returned from our daily adventures.

Great property and neighborhood. Walking distance to coffee and restaurants. Owner responded quickly to all communication.

Andy and Lynn's place is very comfortable. Our stay was not a vacation but rather a place to stay while my brother was having surgery at Harborview Medical Center. This home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. This is an absolutely beautiful condo - with loads of extra touches --- We loved being able to sit by the fireplace after a long day at the hospital. Andy and Lynne were very responsive to all of our needs and it was so much appreciated!
