The pool was amazing to fo in at any time.
The place is very nice but air cons didn’t work very well so it was very hot. Unfortunately, we understand it’s an island and we can have issues with electricity

The host, Rosa, was so responsive and met us at the house to give us the keys and to give us a tour. The house itself is spacious, great for a larger group. The house is close to the beach and a few restaurants and bars. It's a little further from the main streets of Holbox, so we relied on taxis to get us to/from the town center. Rosa also had plenty of filtered water for us on hand!
It was a little warm when we first got to the house as we arrived in August in the afternoon. The house does not have central AC, just the wall units in rooms, so the living room and upstairs landing got pretty warm.

Nice house with great character, clean, nice outside area with small swimming pool. Very well located for punta Coco
A bit far off from the centre, but by renting a bike easy to go around

the location was great. away from the bustle of the town.
it was dirty when we arrived with mouse droppings found in kitchen and bedroom floors (in cabinets, eating utensils and on the floor). on my last day, I saw a mouse run out of the dishwasher. there was also a strong septic smell in the house as well.

We had so much fun staying at Lalsla and especially enjoyed the rooftop deck. We would go explore and lay on the beach during the day and come home and have drinks and play cards on the roof at night. We did have to walk a bit to get to the center of town, but we enjoyed it. :)
So, we did need to keep our food in bins or the refrigerator, in order to keep bugs out. We also had to keep all TP out of the toilets. That said, none of that is unique to Lalsla but part of living on a remote island in Mexico.

We were in communication using What's app and the host was waiting when we arrived.
We loved our stay there at Casa de Madera. It is both good and bad that it is a bit out of the center of town. Less options (but still some options) for eating out (that's the bad) but we ordered delivery thanks to the host's recommendations. The good thing, is it is a really quiet part of town being on the outskirts.

the location is perfect and the house is Amazing and super clean. someone came by to clean the house and take our clothes for washing
the air condition in the living room is not enough for the big salon … it was to hot so we could to stay there to talk and have lunch … outside was to hot and 10000000 millions of mosquitos
the last days there was not water and electricity.
it was told that it was because of a general problem in the island .. if
there is not electricity the water system is also not working

We were told that the villa would handle the transportation, but the transportation was not on time, nor was it suitable for our party. The taxi driver even said he had come to the ferry which he did not. When the villa staff says wait, we assumed transportation was included. We did not have a problem arranging our transportation, which we could have done quicker. It was a frustrating time that did not start our vacation on a good note. Communication could have been better in that regard. We have been to Isla Holbox before and knew what to expect.
We were there for our son's engagement with his fiance's family, we had a wonderful time.
Also, there is no washer and dryer on the premises, the laundry has to be taken away and it was washed all together which stained the clothes. I had to rewash them when I got home.
