A wonderful stay - we can't recommend it enough!

We had the best possible experience at Casa Cat Ba. A hotel elsewhere had let us down at the last minute, so Casa Cat Ba gave us the warmest welcome possible, taking care of us and making us feel at home immediately. The tight-knit, friendly team are hugely kind and flexible, speak perfect English, and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are beautiful and really well-equipped, containing absolutely everything you might need - from a beach bag to a hairdryer to really thoughtfully-chosen toiletries, there are lots of little touches that make a difference. It’s brilliantly located and the view at breakfast and sunset is gorgeous. If you’re looking for a more personal experience than the larger hotels in Holbox can offer, and want to feel at home in beautiful surroundings, we can’t recommend Casa Cat Ba enough.

Picturesque spot with tranquility

The property is quaint, unassuming and designed with perfection. Everyone who works here is kind and extremely helpful. Upon arrival, I received a welcome drink to have at any time, information about Holbox, information and recommendations on restaurants including the offer of making reservations. If you are looking for a peaceful stay just steps away from the central streets to explore and your walk to mosquito point, this is your place.

Wonderful, simply wonderful!

Wonderful place, perfect location, lovely staff, really the best place in Holbox. I spent a lot of time researching a place to stay and ws super happy that I ended up booking Casa Cat Ba, it is exactly like on the photos and other properties I passed by and was really glad I did not book! 😉 I stayed in a beautiful room on the first floor with the ocean view, just wow.

Fantastic stay!

Fantastic hotel! Right in front of the beach! Great location, close to all the amenities but at the same time peaceful. The staff was super helpful and very kind. The air-conditioning was very good and the place was very clean. We'll definitely be back. At the beginning we booked for 3 nights, but we added 2 more nights because it was great and we didn't want to leave. We didn't find any mosquitoes! Good breakfast with fruit and yogurt plus a main dish, that always varies every day.

Lovely stay in Holbox.

This is a boutique hotel right on the beach. The setting is just beautiful. We stayed in room 1 and room 4 and both were perfect. Plenty of room, great beds, and bathroom. Loved the balcony to see the sunset and relax with a book. The breakfast is very personal and very tasty! There is a nice area on the ground level to sit at the bar, lay on a lounger or relax on the outdoor couch with tons of cushions. The staff is very attentive to all of your needs.

relaxing, well located, dreamy stay in Holbox

honestly, the place is very relaxing, rooms well designed and stylish. it’s based along the perfect middle ground on holbox, easy access to hotel area/sand bank, in town so plentiful restaurants and necessities as well as a outdoor market. it’s also near the quieter side to the left and overall feels quiet at night. sunset views. great bathroom shower products, made my hair super shine. wonderful staff, who go beyond the call of duty to ensure a comfortable stay. I was lucky enough to try 3 rooms across 3 days. ordinarily I hate moving around preferring to settle in, however I was lucky to get an upgrade to the honey moon top floor suite for my first evening which was a real treat. if you can afford it, it really is the best room of the place - an entire floor and massive terrace to yourselves. budget room number 5 feels less private as shares its outdoor space with the main lounge area / breakfast area. rooms mid level 4 / 3 / 2 feel like the best options for mid level budgets as all provide small terrace with deck chairs and sunset / sea / palmtree views breakfast good, different main every day, nice mix.

Superb

Thought this hotel was great. Lovely location on the beach and the sun loungers set just above the beach meant you were just set back which we liked (especially so we could comfortably leave our stuff whilst going in the sea). Wasn’t noisy at night despite being right next to the town centre. Breakfast was always nice, it’s a small hotel so they have fruit/granola + 1 option for a salty dish which changed each day. Catered to dietary requirements and we really enjoyed.

The bathroom felt a little outdated. It still had a lovely island feel but maybe a little uplift.

Excellent location, wonderful service, and beautiful boutique hotel...we cannot wait to come back!

Amazing location that's a close walk to restaurants, on the best bit of beach, and private enough to feel remote.

We loved everything. The staff was amazing, the location excellent, we loved all of the amenities and especially enjoyed the little touches like a surprise on my partner's birthday, cookies every evening, and the spectacular breakfasts. We'd go back in a heart beat.

- nice view - very good location if you want to be in the center - personal and fast communication - if it had been introduced more like Airbnb with breakfast and cleaning service i would rated it definitely with 10

- beach chairs were at the reception - a bit too expensive for what you get

great location right on the beach front, gorgeous cats, lovely breakfast which changed each morning, helpful recommendations from staff and through concierge. very clean and tidy and attentive experience. thank you !

Nothing really but if we had to pick it would be that the sun loungers could go in the sun or on the beach.

10/10 Would Stay Here Again

This place is absolute magic. The hotel manager, Ivette, communicated carefully with us all along our journey, the breakfasts were delightful, our room was perfection. There aren't enough adjectives for how happy we were. Ivette arranged transfer from Cancun, guided us through the best activities (do go kayaking in the mangroves!), and was so generous with her time and knowledge. We stayed on the top floor of the house, and the room was huge, the view was breathtaking, and the outdoor shower was a neat surprise. Many thanks to the owners, Colette and Pierre, for sharing their casa with us. We can't wait to visit Holbox again!

Casa Cat Ba was one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed! We stayed on the top floor and the room, the terrace and the view was absolutely incredible - we didn't want to leave. The room itself had a stunning design and the bed was extremely comfortable and large. The room also had everything we might need already there, robes, a hairdryer, coffee machine, a fridge, a water cooler, etc. We loved that it had such a high end luxury feel, but still felt very homely and personal as there are only 5 rooms. The staff were incredible, they made us feel extremely valued, had great communication, and helped us to book a few amazing tours/experiences on the island and a massage in our room, as well as our transfers. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious too. The property is right on the beach front which is lovely to wake up to, and the location is a 5 minute walk away from the central square which is really convenient. Thank you for making our stay so amazing, we would highly recommend and love to come back if we return to Holbox!

Nothing, it was all amazing! It was quite hard to carry our cases up to the top floor as there is no lift but this is very minor.

- location was amazing right at the sea (view from the room was incredible) - breakfast was delicious & best we had in Mexico - each day a different meal prepared for you including a fruit bowl, juice and coffee - rooms were clean, big en bed very comfortable - all the staff was super friendly and because it is a smaller hotel it feels more personal - nice sunbeds on the patio, just a few steps a way from the sea

Highly recommend to stay here! Comfy beds, ocean views and sunsets!

What an amazing place! Absolutely perfect. Great view of the ocean from the bed, nice terrace to sit on. Sunsets with tasty margaritas was a nice treat the first night! The breakfast was outstanding, fresh fruit and eggs! I highly recommend staying here and I very much look forward to going back.

We liked that it was small, not too many quests. It madd for a very peaceful stay. Also very centrally located and directly on the beach.
