The hotel was beautiful. The beach was nice and secluded.
It was very far away from everything. There were no help from the hotel to get to the city.
The restaurant was not good so we went away from the hotel 2 times a day to eat. Which is a shame cause we came to stay in the hotel and relax.

HABITACIONES MUY LINDAS
EL HOTEL ES MUY BONITO
LA ISLA ESTABA INUNDADA, LLENA DE CHARCOS, PARA IR AL CENTRO HAY QUE PAGAR TAXI, LO CUAL ES MUY CARO

Decorations are quite nice. Easy access to the beach and nice pool. Restaurant in place with good food options.
Pool was so cold. I visited one year ago when it was managed by Karisma (Margarita Village) and the staff was nicer and attention was amazing. This time staff was kind of lost and were not even available at the phone many times.
I had to wait 40 min to get some towels at the room.
There is no coffee machine in the rooms and this was great in the past.

The hotel staff from restaurant was great.
But the front desk very bad.
The beach club it doesn't exist , it is completely abandoned, nobody takes care of beach front, chairs, gardening etc.
I like the decoration of the room

The hotel is beautiful. All areas are very clean, every decorations fit perfect. The room, the pool, the restaurants and the beach view is just perfect. There are excellent facilities.
The beach club is still in construction and if you go there no one go to check if you need anything

Facilities are really nice at the beach and it the beach bar seems like a nice place.. but it was closed the entire time we were there, even the weather was nice.
After our stay was impossible to contact them by phone or email to obtain our invoice- at first trial they answered Booking was responsible for it... but it was not. Then we were never able to reach them

The air conditioning worked well
This hotel is miles from town. Not walkable as suggested- especially when it rains and you have to Wade through mud. Other hotel offer free bikes- these guys charge. A taxi is $30 each way. Advertised as adults only- pool was full of children. Only 1 restaurant was operating and the included breakfast was just eggs. No other options available. Advertised kayaks were not available. Property is unkept and half finished in the beach area. Trash was left in a pile outside our door all day. Some days our room just wasn’t made up. Would definitely not recommend- there are far better places to stay on this island. I am pretty sure there are fake reviews on here as it sounded amazing and we were so excited but so disappointed on arrival. Basically ruined our holiday

The property is stunning, instagram picture perfect. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are very nice and super clean. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. The property has a generator which it is a must due to the frequent power outages in the island.
They did not clean the room the last day we were there despite us asking twice. They stated it was due to short staff and they were giving priority to the rooms people were checking in at. The kayaks were not available because of permits. The cabanas area seemed abandoned, there was no staff there, no music, the beach in front of the hotel was not the best, so we had to walk to Nomade and pay $50 dollars per person to use their cabanas and enjoy the beach. For the price of the hotel, they should invest in the beach area as that is the one thing people who stay there want to enjoy. They should open the little bar they have near the beach and play music offer food and maybe built a small pool there, that would attract the guests to stay there and not have to pay to go somewhere else to enjoy the beach. It has a lot of potential.

Comfy beds, air con, modern decor, location of hotel was slightly remote but a bonus having the bioluminescent waters on the beach right outside. Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and nice cocktails. Comfy beds at pool.
Advertised as "adults only" however there were some children in the resort.

Friend desk personnel service great as well as personnel in the entrance.
On the day of check out cleaning person arrived 40 minutes before check out time (time to leave the room) we were not there so they called two people to document what was in the room as a precaution. Aside from that inconvenience everything else was great.

It was in a beautiful part of the island. Very relaxing.
The beach area was all closed up

breakfast included is decent, second room i stayed in was good, beach is good
first room i stayed in smelled like pure mildew and mold and made me feel sick and dizzy since i am very allergic to mold- stayed up til 1130 pm dealing with the front desk to find another room when i was exhausted and had to move at that time (huge hassle) so didnt' sleep much which kind of ruined the next day. the smell was awful though- they should really look into whatever mold issue they have there. they should have also reimbursed me for the first night, but they didn't. the pool was not available for use for the first day and a half of the stay- so half of the stay.... should have also been reimbursed for that...

Very nice facilities, but it's useless if you can't even get into the pool due to water problems.
Very friendly reception employees. The waiters were always in a hurry to serve at breakfast and dinner. They didn't listen well and then they brought things that weren't asked for. they were never removed from the account.

This is a very difficult review as the property is absolutely beautiful, and I foresee it being great in the future, but there are serious issues that they need to fix.
The power is constantly going out here. The resort will blame it on construction on the island (which is true), however, if the generator was higher quality, then there wouldn’t be any issues. Sometimes it would cut out quickly and beep (waking you up), but other times it would need to be restarted manually (which is quite inconvenient).
In addition, it seems they are having trouble getting supplies. One day for lunch, some dishes came out in a reasonable time, but it took two hours for a pizza. And, the bar was completely out of ice so it was a long wait for drinks.
Lastly, and most importantly, there were only a couple of water bottles stocked in the room and the front desk doesn’t have any when you ask. Considering you can’t drink the water here, and need it for hydration plus brushing teeth, etc., this is a HUGE problem. The resort needs to be fully stocked with water at a minimum.

clean
they took advantage of Americans with local quotes. we arranged for a car to be picked up at airport by a private driver, and at the end a van picked us up, and left us (and my 2 boys) at a gas station. we were left to find a taxi to find our own way. the so called concierge took zero responsibility and left us in danger.

Amazing location, beautiful rooms, the nicest and most welcoming staff, great food, the massage at the spa was the cherry on top. Special kudos to Roberto, the manager, Alejandra who waits at the beach club and the masseuse, Alejandra for going the extra mile!

Extremely clean, huge, beautiful site with all new buildings. Lovely sunset views. Staff very welcoming but service a little bit varied and communication a bit confused at times.
Location a bit further from town but taxi was only 250 pesos so not too bad we didn't think.
We had a private plunge pool room which was lovely apart from the fact we seemed to be right next to where the kitchen porters and staff need to walk. Meaning there was a constant stream of staff walking past at eye level to our pool. Not the most private !
Food was ok but nothing compared to other spots on the island.

The room overall was nice and clean.
Long waits for food (specifically breakfast), sub-standard continental breakfast options, and sometimes feeling like we might be getting cheated for more money - take pictures of ALL receipts if you pay in cash/card for meals - at checkout we were given a bill for food items that were not ours, luckily I had photos of our paid receipts.

it’s a great property just far away from a lot of the action
7.0 / 10.0
The facilities are amazing, the staff is super friendly and helpful. the beach is private and very clean (and offers one of the best sunset spots on the island)
The location it’s perfect if you want to stay at the property, not so much if you want to explore the island (30mins walk or 15 euros taxi) to the town. The food offered could have a major improvement, specially considering the price.

The beach at the resort doesnt compate to Playa Holbox. Also its far from town and the taxi is $15 or 300 peses each way!

design and location are exceptional. the attention to detail is outstanding. a real treat
The check in didn’t clearly explain the convoluted and complicated room service and comms app - which in my opinion needs a lot of work to be live

Nice rooms, clean and modern but still with a certain Charme
In a hotel where a night costs over 350 US-Dollars I would expect that you get as much free drinking water as you want. But no! 650ml costs 125 Pesos.
It is not about the money more about the attitude and the lacking level of service I am complaining about.
They do not run their beach bar. there were only 2 functioning bikes. Since bikes are a good option to get from the hotel to the city this is by far not enough bikes.
9.0 / 10.0
The facility is beautiful. They are obviously still working on some of the extra facilities - such as by the beach and I expect will have more soon. The continental breakfast was good - toast and pastry, coffee, fresh juice, a small fruit cup and small yogurt with honey and granola. The pool is small but lovely, the oceanfront area is also lovely. The staff was very friendly and always trying to meet or exceed our needs. The live music some evenings was fun. In town some terrific restaurants.
They seem to still need to work out some kinks. Lots of people in the restaurant, but sometimes not organized for example. The food overall was good but not great, and the prices were resort prices. Also this island can be difficult to get around on. It's only 2km to town center and I would normally walk that - but due to dirt roads with lots of pooled water one was forced to take a taxi to and from town (or be covered in mud.)
4.0 / 10.0
The room was nice, big, and clean. The bedding was good quality and we could see the ocean
Here we felt like we were trapped in a guilded cage and getting fleeced by the only restaurant and store. The restaurant was poor but very expensive and the only access to drinking water was to buy bottles from their store at $8 USD each.
We were surprised by how difficult it was to leave this resort. When we wanted a taxi to have dinner else where we were told no taxis would come due to the flooded road it is on. What happens here when people have flights and their road is flooded?
The restaurant was far below our expectations. Almost nothing they served was fresh and they substituted cheaper ingredients in our dishes every night. We ordered the "duck" but were served what appeared to be shredded chicken. The "steak" calzone was actually filled with cheap sausage. The guacamole seemed to come from a jar. The pricy "wood roasted chicken" was just thin chicken strips pan seared, and lacking the sides. I wouldn't mind the low quality food - if the dinners there weren't costing us $80 US a night. And if they are going to substitute for what the menu says, they should tell us.
And their decision to force guests to pay $8 US each for bottled water when while all the other hotels on the island provide access to drinking water to guests and serve fresh food. They also surprised us with an "environment" fee at checkout. When we did leave the taxi they called charged us twice what the taxi that brought us there charged us. It felt like we were trapped and getting fleeced left and right.
The room was nice, quality bedding, spacious, big TV.
In short, we didn't like being trapped in this place and getting fleeced. We switched to another hotel on the island that cost half the price and we were so much happier and eating better.

What I like it’s the location!! The room was amazing… we had our own private pool. The staff was very attentive… amazing.
if you sat in the beach the service take time because if far from the restaurant.
