Everything. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and the view is stunning. A home from home.
The only tiny minor thing that would have been a bonus was if there'd been some tea, coffee and sugar in the cannisters. We did actually remember to bring some but if we'd forgotten it would have been a blessing as we arrived very late due to dreadful traffic.

Self contained cottage, great range of items available for use. Small private garden. Beautiful surroundings.
Just FYI
Very tiny lane to find cottage!
Broken shed in corner of garden meant it wasn't fully secure for our dog. Wasn't a big deal, we kept him on a lead or went out with him at all times.

A lovely quiet country location. Well equipped with plenty of room for two people. A nice large shower room and a very comfortable bed. Host was friendly and helpful. The property is on Dartmoor and near Tavistock and a very good pub called The Bearslake Inn.

Location was great. Cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we wanted and needed
The bed - It's memory foam but probably the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Hard yet saggy and lumpy too. It desperately needs replacing.

There was nothing I didn't like, it was lovely

Great view from the cottage. lovely and quiet. Nice and warm.
The bathroom needs attention as does the kitchen, it seems unloved and could be fantastic.

the location was absolutely stunning. the property was lovely...cosy yet spacious ...really enjoyable stay and good value for money...all in all would stay again!
...hmm...it was a really enjoyable stay ...however, a couple of things let it down...major one is the bed..the slats had fallen down and so we spent the middle of the first night fixing these and it was obvious these had been 'mended' before. Also the mattress was awful...totally indented on the one side and hard as nails on the other...please owners, buy a new bed asap!!!
Minors....needs just a few pounds spending on little new things like the tea towels, washing up sponges, oven mitts, and some new crockery as it was quite chipped and cracked in places. Piping needs boxing in too?
Also, strangely, there were absolutely no sort of essentials in the cupboards..every other cottage we have stayed at always has basics like salt, pepper, oil, foil....just cooking items that no one actually brings on holiday!!
As i said, we really enjoyed the place , just a few minor bits !

Great cottage, excellent location for exploring Dartmoor. Views from cottage are spectacular. Plenty of room, is larger than you think from the photos. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The area was peaceful and lovely views from the garden.
I think it needed better garden furniture so you could eat and relax in comfort and look over the amazing view.

Cutlery a bit dated

Table and fold up dining chairs are very basic so not very comfortable.
Too little crockery so we could not use the dishwasher.

Beautiful quiet location with lovely views across rural valley.
Nothing.

Great location close to Tavistock and lots of places to walk nearby. Dog friendly garden was ideal. All home comforts and a lovely place to relax.
Bed slats on one side came out so left note.
Forgot our slippers for the wooden floors in living and dining areas.

Amazing location and the cottage has everything you need.
The bed wasn't very comfortable and I discovered on my last night that 3 of the slates weren't properly in the base. Once my husband fixed this it did improve. The bathroom wasn't very well lit - I think if the lights in the wall unit were fixed it would make a difference. They're only minor things. The cottage was really very nice.
3.5
Great location just outside Tavistock and within easy reach of the moors. Parking right outside the property. Fairly well equipped albeit a little dated. For example, we couldn’t get the tv to work so the owner very kindly worked out how to retune it and eventually got it sorted, however, he did admit himself that it’s an old tv.
Nice and warm and roomy with a private garden.
As mentioned in other reviews the shower had black mouldy grout and silicone and smelt musty/damp; quite frankly it needs a good deep clean. Shame the window doesn’t open so you can air the bathroom after a shower as the extractor fans are no where near up to the job. Dog hair in the corners of the rooms and the sofa had a whiff of damp dog about it. No brush supplied to sweep the wooden floors. Again, as mentioned in other reviews, the bed slats kept coming loose and also agree that the heating pipes in the bedroom need boxing in as they got rather hot and are right next to the light switch! Bathroom mirror light didn’t work. All in all the property just needs a little TLC, and the issues raised in reviews actioned upon, rather than just commenting with a standard reply, and this could be a lovely little cottage.
