Cosy, comfortable, period features, interesting layout, wonderful fire, hot tub was a great addition. Fully enclosed rear garden for our dog. Very comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities. Liza the perfect welcome, showed us around the property and gave us fresh eggs, milk and home made muffins and even a cake for our dog! Dog agility paddock was really great fun. So quiet, amazing (steep) walk through the fields to May Hill. Just 5 minutes walk from the Farmers Boy a great pub indeed. Perfect!
We don’t live there permanently!

The property was lovely and had everything you could need for a great holiday away from busy towns/cities. Couldn't recommend The Old Farm enough for dog owners, as the surprise use of the dog paddock (pictured) was great for our dog, who isn't usually able to be off lead.
The host, Liza, was very welcoming and helpful if we had any queries. Gloucestershire is a calm and pretty location, we spent most of our days on long dog walks around the local hills and woodland, only short drives away.
Lastly, we had a brilliant meal at the Farmers Boy Pub around the corner, highly recommend trying also.

A beautiful and quiet setting, good for getting to different places of interest. There was everything that you needed there, cleaning products, towels, bedding and many appliances to help ease your stay.
Disappointed with the garden size, and unfortunately we found a leak from somewhere that left a large wet patch on bedroom floor.

It was a really lovely cottage, very clean and well equipped, the owners were welcoming and hospitable, even left us tea, coffee, milk homemade cakes and honey and treats for our dog. Thank you Liza and Matt we really enjoyed our stay.
There was nothing to dislike.

Beautiful location and house was exceptional

This accommodation is just a dream. A fully equipped and nicely furnished apartment.
We were originally going to be near the Forest of Dean to do some hiking but ended up relaxing at the property.
There is also a small restaurant within a 5-minute walk where you can eat really god (also vegetarian).
We would love to come back and look forward to the friendly host and pig George.

Hosts were really friendly and helpful. We were shown around the small farm holding which was a really nice touch. Hot tub a great feature to relax in with a nice glass of wine!

The welcome pack was nice - eggs, milk and muffins
Almost everything was provided - oil, salt and pepper - just needed some kitchen tongs
17 steps up to bedroom (3rd level), 12 of those are between bedroom and landing where bathroom is. Only one bannister which is also split because of the window - stairs could be tricky for anyone who needs something to hold onto.
No step into inflatable jacuzzi, which is also an extra charge (quite steep in my opinion). Disappointing because we only choose the cottage for the jacuzzi.
Dogs are also extra
Not sure if there was a problem with the heating but first 2 levels were always cold. Kitchen was very cold, so much so that we felt we couldn't let the dogs sleep there. You can buy logs for the woodburner which makes the top 2 levels very warm but didn't affect the lower levels
The garden is secure but only has a small square patch of grass. The paddock is great for dogs but about 100 meters away and you can use it as long as nobody has booked it
The shower works well but is fixed overhead
Hard to say if the owners were friendly or not. Didn't use our names in messages and didn't tell us their name when we arrived. When I paid for the logs, the night before leaving, they didn't ask if everything had been ok either
Bed was comfy but the bars at the end could be tricky if you are tall

A beautiful well maintained cottage that had everything we could possibly need and more.
Host at the end of a phone and willing to help.
A lovely relaxing rest after Christmas - celebrating 2 birthdays used as base for exploring the Cotsolds and Bath

We loved the location of Old Farm. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The house was so cosy and warm and the kitchen was stocked with every appliance we needed. The local pub The Farmers Boy Inn is in walking distance and had the most amazing pies.

Fabulous location, really beautiful area. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, nice hot tub in the garden (an extra), lovely cottage. Hosts were very helpful and easy to contact, and even baked us some gluten free cupcakes for arrival :) We really enjoyed our stay.
My friend is somewhat allergic to dogs and had a reaction when we used the living room which smelled quite strongly of dogs. It was better if we didn't use the living room. A great place if you have a dog, not so much if you have an allergy or not so keen on dog smell. Hand soap and cream is provided but remember to take shower gels and shampoos etc as these aren't included and spare loo roll. The host did kindly give us an extra loo roll but said that normally only one is provided for each bathroom for your stay.

It was a Cottage that we rented and on our arrival we were met with the keys and wonderful home cooked cakes.
The Sky TV Satallite is an old sky and we did not get connections to anything other than ITV 1 and 3 and Dave. Luckily we had youngsters with us who knew how to connect to Iplayer but this took us a few days before we understood how it worked. In the meantime some things we really wanted to watch we could not. It rained a couple of days so it wasn't a good time to go out and the rain we thought had affected the satalittle dish but after we found out it was the sky card itself the owner did try to do something about it and changed the card for another. However, this did no good at all but once we were shown how to use player we were able to catch up on a few programmes. We know when you are on holiday tv is not usually important so this was our one and only annoyance otherwise the cottage is beautiful and for two families including a hot tub is perfect.

Homemade cakes, milk, eggs, flowers 💐 etc. was a great welcome. Liza's Mum was most helpful too and lovely. We loved the animals.
The mattress was too hard for me.

The welcome from Lisa to her farewell, the whole experience was lovely. I had asked for cake flowers and balloon as my sister's 60th, Lisa couldn't have done a better job my sister was amazed as she walked in. The area was central to family who live in Bristol and Worcester, but so much to see and do.
Didn't book long enough to stay. There was nothing I didn't like, we felt comfortable and relaxed.

We arrived to some lovely cakes that Liza made. She was a very friendly host. It's a traditional cottage, but it's lovely for a family. There are toys provided which our daughters loved too.

Warm and comfortable little house over four levels. Comfy beds, fabulous steam shower and whirlpool bath.
Just a couple of minor things. Heating controls and some shelves are placed far too high for the vertically challenged like me.
Random pots and pans sometimes made proper cooking unpredictable. Plus the toaster that made the retrieval of the morning toast very tricky!

Holiday home very spacious, clean & warm this is ideal for short stays also friendly owners .

That it was so very peaceful and picturesque. Also we were left alone but also had the reassurance that our hosts were at the end of a phone.

A beautiful, cosy cottage near a wonderful little village. Liza met us as we arrived and showed us around the cottage, she was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely welcome package waiting with the option to buy fresh eggs from the farm's chickens and homemade muffins (the raspberry ones were delicious).
The village of Longhope is a 10-15min walk away, with a lovely village church, recreation ground and local shop. We made very good use of the pub, Farmer's Boy Inn, that is a 5 min walk away from the cottage. The Old Farm is in a fantastic location for us to travel for day trips to Gloucester (20mins), Cheltenham (30mins), and the Forest of Dean (15mins+).
Very very dog friendly, with a secure little back garden area connected to the master bedroom, plus access to a specially-designed, secure dog paddock attached to the farm.
