Wife and I celebrating 30 years together with a trip to Maine. Really enjoyed the peaceful space this place provided. I’d come back!

We loved our stay in Maine. The cabin came with everything we needed and Heather was quick to respond with any questions we had. Beautiful relaxing place.

This was my family’s first trip to Maine. Based on the pictures alone, I was hoping this week would be special and it more than lived up to the hype. The space itself is perfect and checked all of our boxes for providing a great space for our two kids (ages 9 and 5), a place for a retreat, and providing beautiful views of Maine. We loved our daily walks to the private beach and sitting on our porch listening to all the birds and observing the wildlife. It’s in good proximity to stores and groceries if needed (Blue Hill and Ellsworth) and the was a reasonable drive to Acadia National Park to take in those sights. I can’t speak highly enough of this location and the host - Heather. She was an excellent communicator and provided us with whatever we needed in a very quick time. We can’t wait to come back again and I can’t recommend this higher. It was beautiful.

Second time here. Property is a delight as is Heather, the owner. Off the beaten track location, which is nice, but not so far from a town that getting supplies is a drag. A few hundred feet to the rear you will discover a delightful wooded area then a few more steps to Morgan Bay. It’s truly like having your own personal beach. If you are a quiet nature lover, you’ll find your chi here. If not, you’ll still find it here.
Did see a porcupine here racing us up the drive. That was new. 😝

Arrived as the sun was setting and before we even unpacked we followed the pine scented path through the woods to the shore, letting the peacefullness and quiet settle into us after a long scenic drive through coastal Maine.
The cabin was perfect for us; wecoming and cozy when returning from our daytime explorations of the Blue Hill Penninsula, Chastain, and Acadia. Late fall is an amazing time to be here, exploring the shoreline, walking through the leaves and spotting all kinds of mosses and mushrooms as well as so many varieties of evergreens with all their different aromas.
Blue Hill Co-Op has a great cafe with all kinds of vegan, gluten- free, vegetarian and other healthy choices as well as sandwiches etc. and fresh baked goods. It's a,so a great grocery store if you like lots of healthy options.
Provender Kitchen-Bar was a great choice for our last night!
Heather was always very quick to respond to questions and offered great suggestions. The information group has a section about the property history; I wish had read it sooner. It was very informative about the land stewardship and agricultural usage. Next time I'll hike from shore to shore of the property!
Thank you Dyer family.

Place was awesome. Location away from congestion of city/town. A bit of a drive to that if you’re looking for it. Great winding driveway. Very peaceful and tranquil. Day trip to Acadia. All appliances and accessories provided. We packed light and did laundry in evening. Nice deck with plenty of furniture, fire pit, grill. Comfortable master bed and living room furniture. We didn’t need it for just two of us but loft looked comfy for guests/kiddos. Heather responded quickly to a couple questions on area and had no problems/concerns during our stay. Highly recommend.

We loved the quiet location. Place was spotless, all the comforts of home, the owner had all the questions we needed in a folder to help us. Very cute cabin.

GREAT cabin! Clean, fresh and welcoming. Kitchen stocked very well, as was the bathroom. Property manager was great at checking in, and readily available. The location can't be beat! Not one complaint to share!

The cabin was pristine on a lovely, secluded lot near Acadia National Park. It was great to have all the creature comforts after spending the day in nature. Heather went out of her to accommodate a last-minute date change due to Hurricane Lee. I will highly recommend this cabin to any family and friends visiting Acadia.

This is our 2nd year in a row of staying at this amazing cabin, and we’ve already booked for next year. I think that’s enough of a review to say you will not find a better place to stay in this region of Maine!

We enjoyed an amazing week at the cabin. We went kayaking with the seals, found a bunch of starfish and had fires on the beach while watching some truly spectacular sunsets. The cabin itself is a wonderful mix of simple and comfortable yet it has an understated elegance that makes it incredibly charming and makes it feel like home. We absolutely loved our week here!

We stayed a week at this lovely house. Very peaceful and secluded property, the only sounds you hear are birds singing. The house is down a long gravel private road so you truly are in a cabin in the woods. The house was perfect for our family of 4, although more than that might feel a little tight. My favorite parts were the wonderful porch and the private beach which is located down a beautiful woods path. The property owner is very responsive to questions and even offered to mail us our child's stuffed animal that was inadvertently left behind. It's a 50-60 minute drive to Acadia depending on weather and traffic.

This was the perfect relaxing and quiet home base for us as we explored Bar Harbor and Acadia- it was a 50 minute easy drive to the area. We loved the cozy modern cabin vibe and had a wonderful experience! Heather has everything you need from cookware to linens and toiletries. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet place to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Bar Harbor.

This cabin was really special. It was exactly what we were looking for. Super clean with nice designer touches. We loved the huge windows with beautiful views of nature. Fire pit was great and we used it every night. Access to the beach through woods trail was cool as well.
Host Heather was very kind and accommodating. Location was picture perfect with amazing sunsets and views of the woods. No neighbors, no noise (except for our music!) no airplanes flying over, just perfect quite relaxing spot.
We did explore Acadia national park which is about 50 min. away. Lots of things to explore there.
We highly recommend this amazing cabin if you plan to explore this beautiful part of Maine.

Our stay at this fantastic cabin could not have been better! Enjoyed wildlife sights and sounds, changing leaves, and beautiful ocean views. The cabin itself was lovely and had everything we needed, including a large roofed deck where we could sit on the one rainy day during our stay. Communication with the owner (Heather) was easy and quick. She was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Highly recommended!

Our family of 4 has gone to Bar Harbor and surrounding area of Down East Maine for ~8 years and this was, by far, the best place we've ever stayed.
Secluded in the woods with a short walk down to the beach, we could not have asked for a better location to get away for a week right before school started back up for the kids. Between sitting on the back deck and staring up at the milky way, to combing the beach for treasure, to listening to the seals bark at night, it was a fantastic stay.
So much so that we've already booked the cabin for next year!
Thanks so much for a wonderful stay Heather!

We were celebrating an anniversary and wanted a cozy retreat in Maine! Heathers cabin was the perfect choice! Close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor but tucked away with lovely views! The cabin was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed! We just needed more time to explore this lovely state!

We rented this wonderful new cabin for use for part of our family for a family get-together on Newbury Neck. Our son, daughter-in-law and two young children stayed there and we (the grandparents) also spent a lot of time there with them. It was perfect for their young family. It was well stocked and spotlessly clean. The couches and beds were comfortable and it was great to have such a big deck. The area around the house is mostly gravel at this point (new construction) but was fine for even the two year old to walk around easily. There was a little patio area there with a fire-pit which provided a nice additional outdoor place. The path down to the beach was short and well cleared and the beach, though a typical rocky Maine beach, was of a smaller rock variety and easy for the kids to navigate. They spent a lot of time making rock houses and hunting for starfish, which were plentiful. When the tide is mostly out, there is a great, spot for swimming with very few rocks. We would highly recommend this lovely rental.

Perfect Cabin
We had an incredible stay at this quiet little cabin in the woods. There was more than enough space for our family of five and the location away from the higher traffic area of Bar Harbor was perfect. We never felt like we were too far away from Acadia or Bar Harbor (both are about a 45 minute drive) and the property and peninsula of South Surry had a lot to offer. Also, the views are really fantastic!
From the day we booked this cabin we knew we were in for a great experience. Heather went above and beyond with suggestions for places to eat and kid friendly activities (we added many of them to the list - and were not disappointed). 10/10 would book again!
Thanks, Heather!

Private, relaxing, and beautiful...
The cabin is beautiful! Sparkling clean, well appointed, and situated in a quiet and very private area just a short walk from the water. The location is superb -- the cabin is centrally located between the shops and hikes in Bar Harbor/Acadia (45 min drive) and the excellent restaurants in Blue Hill (30 min drive). The area is charming and quaint with beautiful drives along the water no matter where you're going. Heather is a thoughtful and conscientious host -- communication with her was excellent and she was exceptionally considerate of our needs and expectation.

Perfect and Private Cabin
We had a wonderful stay and wish we stayed longer. The cabin was set back in the woods and was secluded. The only thing we heard were the birds and some far off seals. There is a path down to the beach. It was beautiful at dusk and our kids had fun exploring it. We loved sitting outside on the deck in the morning soaking in the peacefulness while drinking our coffee. The cabin was clean and beautiful and we felt right at home. Our hosts thought of everything. Acadia and Bar Harbor are about a 50 minute drive. We hated leaving but hope to soon return.
