This property is ideal for large groups. It is spacious and well kept
We were disappointed that you couldn’t swim in the lake from the dock. However Coeur d’Alene lake is a short drive. The wild animals on the property were neat including turkeys and a doe and fawn.

This is a big and nicely decorated home. Each room is decorated in a different theme. Lots of room for our family to spread out. The location was great, not much traffic and very quiet. Close to town and the freeway. We even had a mamma deer and her two fawns visiting in the back yard.
All of the family (17 of us) agreed that the beds were cheap and not very comfortable. If you stay here when its hot (95 or hotter, ) just know the A/C can't keep up, especially if you do any cooking. (The maintenance company was very responsive when we reported any issues we had and helpful)
Overall it is a great house for a large family.

The house was perfect for our family reunion. The kitchen allowed us to cook meals for 12 people - great selection of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The house had several living spaces where we could spread out and gather. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. The house is close enough to town to shop and take advantage of outdoor activities. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely return.

The house was PERFECT for us! There was space for all twelve of us. Fun times playing pool, playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles. The only minor complaint was just one bathroom downstairs!
We would all go back in a heartbeat!

The house is large and very comfortable. Beautiful view of the lake. Jacuzzi was so relaxing!! Just two drawbacks, stove is a bit finicky, always clicking to ignite gas burners. Also, we could hear critters scratching/digger on the walls. Life in the beautiful wilderness. A few sightings of deer too! Would stay again!

The house had everything for a large group. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. Rooms were large and clean. Check in and check out were very easy.
I would only say it would be nice to have some sort of a refrigerator downstairs in the bar/game room area. And to have the bar glassware there as well.
Overall, it was a pleasant home in a great location.

This property was well advertised and well equipped for our large party of 14 people. The home was clean and well appointed, especially the kitchen. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner and were impressed at the range of useful items for such a big event. The fridge is a bit small, so we were thankful for the chilly days and nights to store cold items in coolers on the deck. The lake views are beautiful and the property/area provides may opportunities to explore Coeur d'Alene's beauty and amenities. Would recommend and return happily!

House was great, plenty of room for the 15 of us. Awesome views, really nice location. The walk down to the dock was not for everyone, very steep climb back up to the house that was very difficult for most in the group. This was in the listing, so not a surprise. Those that didn’t want to hike down to fish took the car down and back. The only complaints I heard were that some of the beds needed new mattresses and the stove had a couple of burners that didn’t work. The only request I would have is a larger refrigerator or maybe another one. It’s a large house, that accommodates a large group very comfortably. If we go back we would definitely stay here again.

The Fernan Lake Lodge is the perfect venue for a relaxed family vacation or a playful group party. In a nutshell, the house is gorgeous, roomy and fun! Most rooms had a well thought out theme. My favorite was probably our cowboy bathroom which had a dreamy picture of Clint Eastwood and a pistol toilet roll holder. The kitchen had everything you'd need to prepare a gourmet meal. And there were board games, a pool table, game room, croquet set and hot tub to keep everyone entertained. We were disappointed the fire pit was off limits due to a burn ban, but there was no control over that. The neighborhood was quiet, and we saw many deer and wild turkeys awandering . Although the location is secluded, it's a short drive to downtown CDA for shopping or dining out. The property management company was very attentive and responded quickly if we had a question. We were very happy during our stay there, and we think you will be, too!

The home is beautiful and spacious. Of the seven bedrooms, six are comfortable for adults, the seventh, which has three double beds and one twin, is best suited for kids. There is a nice view of the lake. Parking is limited, so plan to bring as few cars as possible. The owners were very responsive to our communications. Everyone in our group of 14 adults really liked the place.
4.8
Property was amazing and had plenty of space. House is equipped with just about anything you may need. The dock and lake are a little bit of a hike away. Had an issue with the AC not working upon arrival. Slept in 86 degree heat for the first night but property management go it repaired the next day. Unfortunately no compensation given for that. Apparently no parties of any kind allowed but listing did not say that anywhere.

Great place to getaway, but still close to everything.

Great size for our group. Plenty of amenities, dishes, beds. Close to town and activities and entertainment. Beautiful lakes!

This property was perfect for our annual golf trip. We had 16 guys and there was plenty of room for all. The game room was a central hanging point where we all played cards, dice, pool, and hung out on the deck. The proximity to downtown and the surrounding golf areas were a huge selling point on this house, as well as the access to Fernan Lake. It’s a short-ish walk down the hill onto a private dock and after golf we would all go straight down to the lake and cool off. This house had everything we needed and then some! I recommend this house 100 times out of 100!

This place was all it was advertised as and more. For a large family this place is incredible. Location, views and comfort was fabulous. The house is beautiful and yet easy to enjoy. My family is still talking about how wonderful this place was. If you get the chance to stay here you should! Vacation Rental Authority was the property management company and they were excellent to work with. Our experience was absolutely incredible.

Unfortunately, there are some major issues with this particular home that truly compromised our safety and overall enjoyment of the house. Number one was the exterior decks and railings, we're not sure how this passed code inspection, but all the railings are unsafe and even wobble/move when you use them, especially going up and down the exterior stairs. The second was cleanliness, above the master bathrooms vanities, the ceiling is stained with water damage, and we encountered spiders and hair/dust in every room in the house. The main issues was some of the mattresses, which after removing the sheets it was discovered that many of them had yellow stains, which is unacceptable for any vacation rental, let alone one at this price point. The biggest issue is the woodpeckers that have nested inside the interior walls of the house. In the master bedroom for example, above the bed are patched holes in the wall that haven't even been painted, which tells us is where the birds have been pecking through. The property managers have even patched some exterior holes off the balcony and have placed a fake owl on the master deck. However, we had family sleeping downstairs as well as upstairs in the master who all were woken up each night at 2am which continued for hours on end, making it impossible to sleep. Most unfortunate was the lack of response from the property managers, who failed to follow up once we voiced our concerns. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Let me tell you the first thing about this place:
The house perfectly sleeps 18-19 fairly comfortably, especially if you have couples and kids. The bottom floor provides a great amount of activities and plenty of space for everyone to hangout.
The hosts are wonderful, they make the check in process easy and the clean up process even easier. If I was going to coeur D’Alene again, I wouldn’t hesitate to want to stay at this place!

We had a group of 13 adults, 3 kids, and an infant. The house was very comfortable and had plenty to do - the pool table was used regularly, the hot tub was also used at least once a day, and we liked listening to music or watching videos on the TVs. We also used the grill for one of our meals (propane was provided). We appreciated having so many bedrooms, and there were plenty of bathrooms for everyone to use, including showers. It looked clean and taken care of, cozy but still spacious enough to spread out when needed. Some minor downsides: we had to bring our own firewood, which we actually didn’t use (we only used the gas fireplace near the kitchen, which we liked, and didn’t get to using the outdoor fire pit for s’mores like we wanted); the downstairs was usually noticeably colder; there was limited fridge space (since we came during cold weather we were able to keep some things chilled by putting them in the garage or outside); and the property is on a steep slope, which didn’t seem comfortable, especially with kids and during warmer weather. Parking was also limited, but we were able to park along the street so it worked out. We enjoyed the lake - several people went ice fishing multiple times (we made fresh fish soup from the fish that was caught). The scenery and neighborhood were nice, and we made several trips to downtown Coeur d’Alene since it was so close. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would have liked to stay longer.

Booked this for a family/wedding get together. I warned everyone that it appeared spacious but more on the rustic side. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was. SO many bedrooms, beautiful bedding etc….close to great restaurants, a quaint downtown, and hiking & walking trails. Skiing/snowmobiling a short drive in Spokane.
We had a fabulous time!
