Quaint cottages, on the beach, clean and cozy!

Our daughter couldn't find her reservation or where it was supposed to be and Martin at Beach House call 15 other locations to make sure she wasn't at any of them. After he verified she wasn't he gave her a great rate so she could next to us for the weekend. Above and Beyond. Thank you Martin.

I liked being on the lakeshore.

The cabins on the beach have a nice view of the Mackinac Bridge, the cabin itself was spacious and had everything we needed. The fire pits were provided and the office had a selection of beach toys for children as well as roasting forks for hot dogs and marshmallows. Everything was clean and comfortable, we would definitely return!

Martin was a pleasure to deal with at check-in. The room was sufficient, however, this place is very dated and seemed to be overpriced for the product delivered.

We enjoyed our cabin stay. It was amazing to be right on the beach. The hot tub felt great. We will return!

Very expensive.

A very comfortable rustic cabin near the beach. Very convenient walk to the Mackinac Island ferry and well appointed. The manager could not have been nicer or more helpful at check in.

I love the private cabins, you can feel at home away from home. If you havent been there in a while they have made some convenient upgrades. Coffee makers in the rooms qith coffee provided! We had a full size refrigerator this time! Only thing i didnt love is that they dont do the one big bonfire at night, you have to do your own! Overall. Great stay!

This is an older property that has had some renovations. It was under staffed. Bare light bulbs with pull strings, exposed electrical wires next to sink in bathroom (probably from a previous fixture), the tv was the size of a computer screen, only one of the locks on the door worked, and the chain for the door wasn’t there. However, the location to the beach was great.

Very lovely cottage, and the property manager is super nice and helpful.

Everything was super nice, maybe the grounds flowers needed to be cut back and weeded, the man that checked us in was so nice and helpful , we would stay again

Even though the cabins have been around a long tome they did wonderful upgrades to bring it to today’s standards of interior design.

Sitting on their beach looking out at Mackinac island and the bridge is beautiful and calming. Quaint cottages, pet friendly.

The Trip in itself was great! We had an amazing time, not so much with the hotel we stayed at though. For starters the pictures on the reservation wasnt for the same cabin, instead it was closer to the office and main area of the hotel. When we got there we were greeted and shown around, typical hospitality stuff, but i had the reservation for 4 nights...they said it was only for 1, while it was a quick fix...still a nuisance. The room we eventually landed on was clean enough, it looked run down though and the shower wasnt connected to the wall at all. You could pull yhe shower head with your hands. We also didn't know if we were going to go to Mackinac Island or not but i went to the office to see how much of a discount id get on ferry tickets, i wasn't going to purchase them yet, and the office manager went on a bender about doing paper work and was just very rude and made me basically purchase the tickets even though all i was trying to do was ask how much the discount was. I didnt let that stop us from having a good trip.

The cabins date back to the 1930’s but have been well maintained and upgraded. Need a few more AC outlets. Clean, cozy. We had a Staits facing room and it was quite beautiful. Nice sandy beach, and what a view.

We’ve been going to Mackinaw City for years and this was definitely one of the best visits we’ve had because of The Beach House. The location was perfect; not right in the middle of the city, but close enough that you still felt like you were right there. The cabin itself was spacious enough for my family of five and very clean. We were steps from the beach, which was the perfect way to start and end our day. The flowers around the property were stunning. Martin, the property manager, was hands down the most pleasant and helpful person. When we needed something, Martin was extremely accommodating. He was also just a fun guy to talk to. This was a nice change from a hotel. We’ll definitely stay there again next time we visit Mackinaw.

We LOVED it! Quaint, cozy.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a room for our stay, but they upgraded us to a cottage since we were spending the whole week. Very clean and well maintained. They have a private beach with plenty of seating. They even had campfire pits available for a fire on the beach. Only complaint, i widh someone would occasionally wipe of the chairs and swings along the private beach area. Lots of spider webs and bird poop. Had to be very selective when you sat down. Overall, we would definitely return.

It was a very vintage atmosphere, yet the interior of the cabins were upgraded. Perfect setting — on the water, view of the bridge and Mac Island. And, a campfire on the beach!!

The motel mamanager made every effort to accomodate us . The cabin was well maintained and cozy

This is great nostalgic place to stay. Little individual cabins right on the lake shore looking across at Mackinac Island. A short bike ride to the ferry and the heart of town.

Great Ambience, features recently updated old-school lakefront cabins with excellent views.

Cozy Cabin!
Right on the lake, 1-2 minute drive to downtown Mackinac City.
Will for sure stay here again!

Lovely management. He went out of his way to make optional arrangements for us to have the perfect 27th wedding anniversary. Amazing waterfront view.

We did not have outlets beside the beds to plug in phones and I pads

We stayed in one of the newer premium cabins right on the beach. Beautiful with a kitchenette, double bed, bunk beds, and a futon. The property manager called me asking when we would be there and we were able to check in early. The pool was heated and my kids were able to go to the water park in the hotel next door. Great time and we would stay here again!

So let me start by saying that the location and view were a 10. If your looking for high end accommodations, this is not the place...BUT if you want peaceful, ON THE BEACH, and a great get away that is clean and comfortable this is the place. Martin the caretaker went out of his way to ensure you have what you need. Cabins are not stocked with utensils, but martin has everything you need from toasters, crock pots and most other things, right down to lighters for starting that romantic beach fire. The heat and air worked great in our cabin.
Spend the money and get the beach front cottage. #27 was awsome. I could go on and on, but i think you understand what I am saying.

For over $400 a night that cabin definitely should’ve been way cleaner.. If this is a problem during off-season I could only imagine how dirty they are during the busy season. Otherwise the Family Cabin is very nice and the views are great.

Good view, very feiendly staff the guy at the front desk went above and beyond to help. The cabins themselves are a bit of an issue. Can barely close/open them properly, ac/heater sometimes works sometimes it doesn't, just old and not very well maintained overall. The prices are reasonable and will come back if the prices are still the same

Inexpensive, cozy, got the job done

The front desk man was very nice and pleasant to deal with and he gave us an upgrade because apparently the cabin we rented was so small you could barely move!
The outsides of the cabins could use some sprucing up maybe some pretty flowers or flower boxes.
The bathroom door didn't really shut which could have been a problem if there were others with us. Also bath fan didn't really work and no countertops to set your bathroom things on.
The chairs for the table were a bit rickety too.
Over all we had a nice stay the bed was comfortable and the TV worked ( but could have been bigger).

the place was clean and we had our own cabin. the manager was helpful. we had a fridge and microwave in the cabin. cabin 35 was great, it had 2 double beds with a full divided wall in between the 2 beds.

Can't beat the view! My husband and I were in town for the Zoo-De-Mack biking event, and we stayed in a 'Beachside Classic Cabin.' It was awesome to have the beach and view of Mackinac Island and the bridge right out our doorstep. We relaxed in the chairs on the beach for quite some time, and the beach fire pits are a fun addition. The cabin itself if fairly rustic, but was clean and functional. We didn't end up using the pool or hot tub, but it's nice they have those options as well. The desk attendant was super helpful/friendly, and gave us lots of good tips/recommendations. A parking spot was included and it was also not to far to walk to the downtown on a nice day. We highly recommend the beachfront cabins!
