Great location within the medieval city. 2 beds , 2 bath beautiful and updated house retaining the beauty of a medieval house. Very clean. the house has an outdoor seating area overlooking the valley and rest of the city which teh entire family loved. spent a lot of time relaxing here even within the 1 day stay we had. Wish we had spent atleast 1 more day here
we had arrived by train as part of a overall 13 day vacation (lots of luggage with atleast 2 very large heavy bags). the taxi we hired took us to an entrance that was far away from the place and we had to lug around the suitcases on a pebbled road for over 15 minutes to get to the apartment.
there were directions to a free parking area but its wasnt clear if we are coming by taxi where to get down to make it easier to get to the apartment. it was very frustrating and tiring to get everything to the apartment. suggest the host add clearer instructions on where to ask the taxi to be dropped off along with instructions that there will be walking on the pebbled road and hence pack or prepare accordingly.

Nous avons choisi cet établissement parmi d'autres parce qu'il annonce "un parking privé gratuit". Cette annonce laisse supposer qu'il y a un parking dans l'établissement. En fait pas du tout, le parking est à l'extérieur de la cité (pas de voiture dans la cité mais ça on ne peut pas le savoir avant d'arriver) et il faut faire le déplacement du parking jusqu'à l'établissement avec les valises ! Et c'est long ! Autant prendre un établissement de même gamme au pied de la cité avec un vrai parking !
Dommage que Booking cautionne ce genre d'annonce trompeuse.
La porte coulissante séparant la pièce salle d'eau-toilettes de la chambre est cassée, nous sommes obligés d'aller aux toilettes sans pouvoir fermer la porte !
L'annonce fait la promotion d'une vue sur la montagne et le jardin ; en fait c'est une vue sur les toits des maisons voisines. C'est vraiment border line.
Bref, tout ceci est très décevant.

Appartement idéalement situé en plein centre de la cité médiévale.
Appartement très bien rénové.
- Quelques petits détails : pas de placard, mauvais éclairage dans la salle de bain pour se raser, pas de lampe de chevet, pas de couteau à pain, ni de grille pain, ... rien d'important.
- Remarque : Le parking est à 500 m avec des escaliers, pas de souci sauf si vous êtes avec une personne en mobilité réduite ou une personne âgée. Ce serait bien de le préciser dans l'annonce.
- Bémol plus grave. Il est précisé sur l'annonce une terrasse avec vue sur la montagne, il n'y a pas de vue sur la montagne. L'appartement est au RDC du coup les fenêtres donnant directement sur la rue oblige à garder les stores fermés. Tout cela donne un appartement plutôt sombre, ce qui doit être assez agréable en pleine été, en pleine chaleur, mais là en Avril avec un mauvais temps, je recherchais un appartement lumineux avec une belle vue. Ce que je n'ai pas eu. Et du coup globalement plutôt déçu.

The location inside Carcassonne citadel is excellent. One one side one gets the medieval atmosphere, and also on is well protected from possible late night disturbances, as the sleeping room is doubly protected from outside noise by an additional glass wall, and has a specific AC unit. There is also an outside terrace with some view on the medieval stones.

WiFi poca cobertura,pues estaba en la habitación. Quise conectar el PC y era imposible, por poca cobertura. Mandé un Wasap a la persona responsable y jamás tuve respuesta...!!! El Router del WiFi es poco eficaz en la habitación, teniendo sala...!!! Eso sí...!!! Tienen dos cajetines para dejar las llaves y me equivoqué al dejarlas y no tardaron en llamar para pedirme las llaves.El email de llegada con directrices,no me lo enviaron hasta las 16:20 h. Además,el número de la casa ,no es el que sale en Booking y me tuvo que ayudar el chico de la tienda. Al que le agradezco su ayuda.Con este tipo de negocio,hay que estar más pendiente del cliente. Es una pena...!!! Te quedas con mal sabor de boca.

Excellent location, in the middle of the donjon, very new and high quality interior
Needs some finishing of last details: One curtain missing in the bedroom, no towel at the toilet sink, small details like that. If that's fixed, it is a great luxurious place, worth the money. (Be aware you have to walk with your luggage from outside the donjon...)

The location, air conditioning, view and cleanliness of the property was great. It’s a lovely apartment right in the heart of the old town. Carcassone is extremely busy at this time of year but the apartment remained quiet.
A little more responsiveness would have been great. We requested hand towels and a top sheet for the bed due to the heat (and only 1 bath towel each being provided) but this wasn’t provided for us. It would be helpful to have a toaster in the kitchen, too. Do take note - there are two apartments listed on the booking.com page - one has a covered veranda and the other has a outdoor terrace. We thought we had hired the one with the terrace but ended up with the veranda.

What a stunning place to stay. A perfect mix of old and new right in the heart of Carcassone cite. Everything was of the highest quality, and with a beautiful terrance to catch the sun all day, it really was the perfect place to stay.
Nothing - just remember that you'll have to walk from wherever you've parked the car, and the nearest superrmarket (which was brilliant) is a 10 minute walk.

For the price I would have expected better quality furniture and fittings, eg. Toilet door very flimsy, no hand-wash in toilet, and whilst one lady said we could store the luggage in the sweetshop and was friendly, the other wouldn't let us use the toilet!

the location was amazing, right in the centre of the old town, we loved staying there. the apartment was super clean and comfortable for our family and we loved the stone spiral staircase! The decor is very simple and modern and a nice contrast to the ancient architecture. we loved it and would like to return.
it's a small thing, but it could have been made much easier to find the property and gain access - the pin was not very accurate and it took us a long time to locate the actual door! Then the 4 digit number that we were sent wasn't the code for the key box, so that was a little confusing... Clearer instructions from booking.com would be good. Also, the apartment has two showers but only one toilet, perhaps i didn;t read the listing accurately, but i didn't know that till we got there. Otherwise everything was perfect.

the location and ambience of this unit was absolutely delightful! We loved it so much we wanted to extend our stay!
Having to haul our stuff from the parking, over the bridge, up the streets and to the door was a lot for my 80 year old mother - it would be nice to have a deliver service for the bags.

Fantastic location in the heart of the historical Carcassonne. Our apartment was lovely, modern, fresh and comfortable. Aircon & wifi worked well. Some curtains would be good for privacy at night! Entrance and stairwell is inside one of the towers of a building so the stairs are spiral and being on the 2nd floor are quite narrow for the last flight up but we managed with our 2 big suitcases. You do have to walk up for about 5 minutes from the Castle gates (where taxis drop you off) to reach the accommodation since vehicles are not allowed within the castle walls except those few with a special permit. Plenty of quality restaurants at your doorstep and some bars.
A minor issue - Washing machine worked but seemed to leave stains on the clothes - maybe drum needs to be given a good service/ clean?

Beautifully refurbished apartment in the old city with fabulous views across Carcassonne from within the city walls. A truly medieval experience with all mod cons. The entrance through the winding stone staircase sets the atmosphere from the start.
The whole apartment is beautifully restored and well equipped, a spacious bathroom and nice furnishing make for a comfortable stay.
The bed could be more comfortable with better linen that fits.

The terrace is a great addition. The place is beautiful and peaceful. Very clean and functional.
It's nice to be inside the citadel.
Not having a parking space close is really a challenge if you have a big luggage to drag 15 minutes on a rocky road.
The host also won't reply to you in English or anything that french, so keep the translator open.

It's a hundreds of years old house, but whole new build inside. Very beautiful, nice and clean. There are kitchen with full equipment. You can stay many days.

It was beautiful. lovely and spacious. Very clean and tidy. Very comfortable. Amazing to be in a modern style apartment within a historic building - loved the stone spiral staircase! Owners were really helpful and responded promptly. They also run the sweet shop and the restaurant next door - excellent dishes! Will definitely revisit.

The view, the layout, the interior design was all lovely. The instructions were clear. The staff were helpful. Stayed another night extra. Above a lovely restaurant, shame they were shut the second night.
Iron was broken but the staff were helpful and brought another one. The car park is far. The castle staff were on strike on the first day.

Our third trip to Carcassonne and the best stay ever. Wonderful historical property with modern convenience. Excellent host and located in the medieval city near dining and shopping. We will stay here again. Located right next to the Chateau (castle) within the medieval city. The best!

Beautiful apartment on a fantastic location. View from the apartment was great. Parking facility (free for guests) is just outside the old town so a few minutes walk to your car.
The stairs to the topfloor appartment could be challenging for elderly people.

Location was perfect for visiting Catcassonnes medieval walled town.
A little clearer direction for reaching the property. Should state that taxis need to drop off at the Narbonnaisse gate with a short walk after that. Directions should slso mention to stop in the candy shop to see manager.
