Everything else. It's a good place.
There's no sign outside the hostel, it just looks like a random house, and the location on booking.com is wrong, so i almost got to the wrong place. Also apparently there's only 8-bed dorms, the 6-bed options on booking.com also don't exist.

Hostel staff are very nice and friendly people. Rooms are comfortable. I stayed room with balcony it was so good. The only problem was with bathroom. There was so many tourists and it wasn’t easy to find bathrooms free. They almost every time was busy. Location is super good. It’s just a few meters away from Republic Palace.

I really liked the location. Close to bus stops from where you can get to all attractions.
Nearby there is a large shopping center and a cable car to the Kok-Tobe hill
The hostel has responsive hosts, they do not allow noise after 23:00 (that's right 😉). Everything was clean, comfortable kitchen. Would like towels in shared rooms. The absence of curtains near the beds is not essential, without them you can communicate with other residents)
Lack of towels and curtains, but these are trifles

It was clean, quiet
Needs:
Curtains for each bed
Power sockets
Towels
Slippers
More sitting areas inside + working station/ table
mirrors in each room
Quality soaps

I stayed only cuople of hours between two overnight flights, did not spent night there. Staff checked me in 2 hours earlier, what I appreciated. Perfect location to centre, cable car to Kok Tobe and cheap good local cantine Kaganat.
I stayed in a room on the ground floor packed with bunk beds for 8 people. In fact it was not room, but back part of reception separated from general area only by curtain, so you must listen to all the noises and vioces of people coming inside and outside the house and stuff regarding reception. So for those who need a bit of silence or have light sleep, not the best option. To be fair, this regards only this room I stayed in, other rooms having doors may be better. 2 toilets for so many guests must be problem mainly in the morning.

Basically a family home with the rooms converted to dormitories. It feels comfortable and homely and is in an ideal location just on the edge of the city centre with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within a few minutes walk. The staff are friendly and it’s good value for money.
Occasional queues for the bathroom, but not a major problem if you’re flexible with when you shower! The kitchen only has one hob so can’t accommodate lots of people cooking at the same time. One final thing - there’s no sign anywhere on the outside of the property so I found it hard to find, especially as the location is slightly wrong on google maps!

Wonderful geographical location. Be closed to the Republic palace, shopping mail, restaurants and Cable car to Koko tobe.
Crowded. always line up in toilet and shower.
10.0 / 10.0
The atmosphere, hospitality and friendly staff of the hostel. The location is ideal, in the centre of the city with quick access to most of the services.
Nice nature and the mountains close to the hostel.
Need more sockets to charge phones. But this is a very minor issue. The hostel staff was very kind to provide us space on their desk to charge phone over night.
