It is very comfortable to stay, and definitely to stay again.

Perfect

Hotel staff was so kind and welcoming to us as tourists who speak English. The bathroom and shower were so delightful, wonderful windows for fresh air and light. The courtyard was a wonderful place to relax. we even had a partial Eiffel Tower view from our room- total surprise!

We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel years ago with our young children and enjoyed it so much then that we decided to stay at Hotel De Varenne this summer. It's such a great location and includes continental breakfast.
Thank you for another terrific visit!

It was in a quiet area convenient for our needs

Wonderful little hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and beautiful. The jet bathtub was amazing. Parking is off site but my husband had no complaints about finding it. Overall a great stay.
4.6
The hotel was clean and pleasant, but feel that it should be classified as a three star rather than a four star. There are t plenty of three stars that provide the equivalent.

Great people and a great location

This beautiful hotel, in a quiet and convenient area of Paris, satisfied our wish for somewhere cute, tasteful and "typically Parisian". The room and bathroom were spacious, beds comfortable, and the breakfast is highly recommended eaten out on the patio. The staff were unfailingly helpful, and we loved our stay here. Merci beaucoup!

Perfect location and friendly staff

Great property.

The customer service was great. The bedroom (and especially the bathroom) were comfortable, clean, and pretty. The hotel is 1 block from the Rodin Museum and garden, and 2 blocks from the Varenne metro station. Good bakeries and restaurants within 2 blocks, so very walkable. I would stay there again.

Hotel is well positioned and well maintained with decent size rooms and generous sized bathrooms. Main issue we had was the terrible check-in staff member who couldn’t be more unhelpful if he’d have tried.
Everything we asked for was responded to negatively. Parking - said to be available when I booked and a key filter I used on the hotels.com site - was actually a 15 minute walk away (hardly on site!).
It was a very warm afternoon and we had bags and bikes with us (we’d just cycled 80 miles to a finish point in Paris). Could they help store the bikes anywhere? No - they couldn’t go in the courtyard as people sit out there and have a drink. We could leave them outside in the street! - that’s the best he could offer.
So we unloaded our bags and put the bikes on the roof of the car ready to leave the following day.
We ordered six beers thinking we’ll sit in the pleasant courtyard, on the patio, where we couldn’t leave our bikes. But no - “we’ve only got three beers in the fridge”. As there were six of us that wasn’t going to work. Suggestion from the helpful staff member? You’d be better off, down the road in a bar!! So we couldn’t have a drink in the area where we couldn’t leave our bikes because it’s where people have a drink!! You couldn’t make it up!!
The check in experience ruined what was otherwise a pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel.

Property has a beautiful garden area where you can have breakfast or a glass of wine. Rooms are small but you don’t come here for the room. AC works fine and the staff are helpful arranging transportation. The bakery a few doors down is worth a visit too!

This lovely hotel is well-situated on the right bank. Close walk to Rodin museum, easy walk to Musee d’Orsay, the Seine, Tuileries, Louvre. We also walked to le Marais, Jardin du Luxembourg, though these are quite a bit further away.
Immediately on entering, the courtyard is beautiful and fragrant with flowers. The lobby is staffed continuously with very helpful people (assistin in making and cancelling reservations).
Our room was beautiful. Somewhat small (though not terrible) with windows opening to the courtyard. Wonderful closet w hanging space & shelves. Desk with lots of outlets. Beautiful bathroom! I mean stunning!
There were a few issues - the bathroom had a hand-held shower faucet in the tub (so anyone who cannot step over the side of a tall tub should be aware). The seam along the bottom edge of the glass panel was not sealed so water leaked all over the marble floor, requiring all of our towels to sop it up.
The room is not very dark; I used an eye mask to help with that. Also, the a/c unit works well, which was great! But every time it came on, it made a gurgling sound that woke me up at times.
Finally, I expected, but there was no supply of cold water in the lobby for refilling our bottles. Also, there was no place in the room to dispose of recyclables — plastic water bottle, paper.
Despite these issues, I highly recommend this beautiful hotel for its serenity, top notch staff, and location in a safe and accessible area.

The hotel staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The hotel rooms need a little upgrading and the pictures on the site make the outside patio looked far larger than it actually is. We did enjoy our stay as the location was good and again the staff was very friendly.
4.6
The hotel was old but beautiful, there was a lovely garden setting but unfortunately it rained when we were there. Our room was upstairs at the front and a good size for us.

Very nice

The hotel was in a very good location. The bathroom has marble floors, so you need to be careful. The property should probably have larger bath mats to mitigate this issue. The staff was very nice.

The very best experience imaginable.
Thank you thank you!

Very nice Parisian hotel at excellent location. Walking distance to the Metro - Subway lines and few bus lines. Few blocks from the major museums, Musee D'Orsay, Hotel des Invalides, with Napoleon's Tomb, Grand Palais, even Eifel Tower is in walking distance. Pleasent very French Hotel rooms are smaller than in USA but very French. Bravo! Highly recommended!!

Lovely hotel and room, with a view of the Eiffel Tower! Front desk staff very helpful. Terrific location right near the Rodin Museum, Les Invalides, Musée D’Orsay and convenient metro stops plus much more. Nice restaurants in the area too.

Quiet and pleasant

This hotel was a great location to walk to so many things! Very quiet even with my room having windows to the street. Large room and bathroom for Paris. Super comfortable too. As a solo traveler, the neighborhood felt safe. Very friendly staff as well. The breakfast option was nice and convenient. I would stay here again!
4.6
Perfect place in a quiet street of Paris. It was a much calmer area that was great after the chaos of the Eiffel Tower. The staff were friendly and always around. Loved staying at smaller hotel in the city. Would stay here again

The location is excellent. The hotel is located on a quiet street close to the Rodin Museum. The staff is lovely. There is a small elevator which is nice to have after a day of waking in Paris.
We arrived before our room was ready (in the morning) and left our luggage with the hotel reception. We found our luggage in the room when it was ready. Such a nice gesture after having a long flight.
Our room was clean, but dated. The bathroom was small. The amenities (shampoo, soap, etc.) were very, very nice.
Perhaps the most notable thing about the hotel was the quiet. We left our windows open to an inner courtyard and sleep peacefully all night.

Location is amazing.

The location was great. Walking distance to metro stations, the Seine, restaurants and shopping.

This was my first time in Paris. I liked the intimacy of this small hotel that was just a block from the Musee Rodin. The location was perfect for sightseeing, very walkable, clean and safe. There was only one thing I wish I had asked about beforehand....the firmness of the bed. The bed in my room was very firm. i am used to sleeping on a very soft bed so I was a bit sleep deprived on my trip but that's okay. Next time I'll ask the hotel prior to booking.

Large upgraded room. Bakery steps away. Enjoyed the area.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Hotel de Varenne
Staff at the front desk was very friendly and kind
They allow us early check in and stored our luggage after we checked out because our flight to Rome was scheduled at 5:00 PM That made us very convenient
It’s really charming and cute place
It’s quiet from tourists but close enough to walk around all the attractions
4.6
This is a perfectly nice hotel in a great area. Quiet and comfortable. Great water pressure in shower. Rooms and bathrooms are a decent size. Would stay again.
4.6
The hotel is cute and charming, but the toilet was clogged all the time, the hotel staff’s ability to help was low. The bedlamps in our room was hanging broken with dangerous electric wiring. Very hard beds and hard and lunpy pillows. So, not worth it.
4.6
The hotel staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and fluent in English. The room was cute, clean and had a new bathroom. It is a quaint hotel just outside of the main attractions of Paris, but within walking distance. There were not a lot of cafes, stores, etc. open right next to the hotel, but within a five to ten minute walk there were more options. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

This is a traditional, small hotel, with cosy roome and a typical French breakfast, café, baguatte, marmelade and yogurt. Delicious and simple. The service was personal and friendly. I arrived tired and jetlagged i. The early morning and the hotel made a special effort to get me into a room early! Thank you!!
The walls between the rooms are very thin, once can hear the guests in other rooms talk.

Great location
