Escape to a secluded Mississippi riverfront cabin nestled at the base of a bluff, where you can unwind on a gorgeous beachfront and gather around a cozy fire pit.
Perfect for year round trips, Finley's Landing Cabin hosts your beach front and boating activities with a nearby boat launch just off the main channel. In the fall and winter it becomes a cozy cabin for unwinding and relaxation with beautiful views of fall foliage and snow covered landscapes. A county park within walking distance awaits for quiet walks through the timber along a tranquil stream.
Just a short 20 minute drive to Dubuque, you'll find excellent shopping and dining. Travel along the scenic Mississippi River bluffs to wineries and restaurants, or enjoy a day on the slopes of Sundown Mountain Resort just 25 minutes away.
The Master bedroom is a great place to start the new day. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the bedroom's deck and watch the river light up with the morning sun. The master queen and the twin/full bedrooms share a bathroom with toilet and pedestal sink. Downstairs is a double bedroom. The main bathroom features an oversized shower with a tankless water heater which provides for long showers. A full sized air mattress with built in electric pump can be placed where needed, and a queen size pull out couch allows for even more sleeping space.

Place was clean, quiet, little hard to park. But we figured it out. Little pet peaves, bag of charcoal but no way to light it for a barbecue (we got creative, wish they had a chimney dont care for chemical lighting). Was only 1 and a 1/2 roll of TP. Other than the little things it was good stay

This is a great home right on the Mississippi River. Enjoyed watching the river boat traffic. Home has everything you need. Enjoyed drinking morning coffee in 4 season room. What a magical place to totally relax & unwind for a few days. I highly recommend this place!!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was near the river and made it very convenient for putting our boat. It is only about 25 minutes from Dubuque which was a good size city. We will definitely see if we are in the area to stay again.

My best friend and I wanted to take our teen boys on a little getway to kick off their school year. Ages: 13, 15, 16, 16. This was the perfect spot for that! The boys loved having easy access to the river for fishing. The beach is nearly in the backyard which was awesome! We really enjoyed the firepit and all the seating available outdoors! The sun room is so cozy. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the hummingbirds outside the windows. We all agreed we would love to come back in the fall once the mosquitos disappear so we can thoroughly enjoy being outdoors in the beautiful yard!

Property was exactly what we were looking for, and had all the amenities we could have thought of!

We were VERY happy with our stay at this property! The cabin is well loved and well cared for, very well stocked. It was extremely close to the beach along the river which our grandkids really enjoyed. Enjoyed the yard and fire pit, well stocked with firewood. We also were close to Finley's Landing for walks and fishing. We also spent time in Dyersville and Dubuque, both a short drive away with fun things to do for our whole family, as well as a great place to eat in Sherrill and a winery just 6 miles away! Even though it is fairly remote, it is still within close distance for groceries, entertainment, and restaurants. Highly recommend this property!

Lots of room to grill out, have a fire and have a good time with friends. Fyi there are train tracks closeby. Trains passed by a couple times but wasn't too bad, if you're a light sleeper bring some ear plugs.

This is a great place to getaway from everything and enjoy quality time with your family and/or friends. Beautiful location on the Mississippi with a short walk to the beach. This is the 4th year our family has stayed here for a long weekend and we will definitely be back!

A group of us came to Dubuque for a weekend getaway to relax and fish. This cabin checked all the boxes to accomplish that objective. Kitchen was well stocked, house was clean, and everything worked well. Being next to a county park where one could take walks and swim or fish in the river was just an added bonus!

We brought two of our grandsons ( 9 & 11 ) to the cabin to stay and do a little fishing and playing on the Beach. I would consider it as Glamping. Glamorous camping lol. Grandma and grandpa got comfy beds to sleep in and the grandsons had a blast exploring, fishing Just hanging out at the beach and playing volleyball. It was a win-win for me. This is our 4th Visit to the cabin, but the first time we have ever brought anybody else with us.
I thoroughly enjoy having my morning coffee by the fire in the yard and watching the hummingbirds play at the birdfeeders. The grandsons were up early and off to the boat dock for some fishing before breakfast. Most of the afternoons were spent at the beach and then back to the docks for more fishing in the late afternoon.
This is my favorite out of all the vacation homes we have rented and will continue to come back and the coming years.

It was a second vacation for us in this property (7 years ago), nothing changed the train was the most worst part of our vacation. Not enough sheets for living room bed, we found only 1 fitted sheet and 1 pillow case. There were a lot of coffee, creamers and other stuff, towels and sheets were clean, plenty of shower stuff. Very ease and quick communication with the host. Thank you so much !

Nice little getaway. The train that rolls by a couple times throughout the night is the only negative of the place but otherwise had everything we needed.

Finley’s Landing is such an amazing setting - it’s a great spot for family togetherness. It’s rural and gorgeous! We love the campfire and walking in the fall splendor… and we play cards and put together a puzzle. (The table has internal leaves and can accommodate the puzzle at one end while we still use the other end to eat.) The kitchen and living room are one space and is on the ground level, but the bathrooms and bedrooms are both on the split level portion of the cabin, so just keep that in mind if you’re planning a trip with someone that has trouble with stairs (though it’s only 1/2 flight up or down).
We just love staying here and always have a memorable trip!

My brother and I (both in our 60's) took our parents (who are 87 years old) to Finley's Landing and all of us had a great time. We took several short trips including to Wisconsin and Guttenberg, but mostly just enjoyed sitting on the deck and experiencing the view. We also liked and used the fire pit. With the fantastic beach and big yard, they would also be great for families.

We had a wonderful time at this very unique property, that ideally suited our large party and conveniently gave us access to the river for boating.

Very neat spot right next to the water. I enjoyed spending the mornings drinking coffee on the sun porch with my family. The fire pit was an awesome place where we gathered, talked, and made s'mores. I do recommend getting food to cook in Dubuque before you go, because there are no grocery stores closer! This cabin is right near a train track, so you will hear a train horn a few times through the night, but it wasn't terrible.
Great hidden gem!

Nice cabin/house about 20 minutes from Dubuque, practically in a county park with a lovely sandy beach on the Mississippi. Kitchen was well stocked. Yard was beautiful with fire pit, rocking chairs, and even a bench swing. A windy drive to get there but worth it!

The property and house was great. I didn’t realize how remote it was. Quite an adventure to get there, but beautiful scenery on the way and at the property. Enjoyed our Getaway!

We were very happy with everything about this property. We had planned on spending some time in Dubuque during our trip but we never really felt the need to leave the cabin. The beach is amazing, even better than the pictures.

Best vacation ever! That's what my three grandsons said about this house. They loved being so close to the beach, and the fire pit was a big hit too. Great place to stay!

The house location is a perfect getaway. Personally, we like to have a few more basic items( like salt, and oil) in the kitchen. Also before arrival cleaning was a little inconsistent; we even found a pup bat inside the house. Though in the foothill of the forest and near a water body , this is not surprising.

This property was well appointed and perfect for our womens weekend. It is well appointed with everything you need. It was not quite as secluded as the pictures show but still beautiful. We were able to watch an eagle fishing and barges making its way down the Mississippi. We visited in late March. Hiking at the park that this property borders. Nice place. Could use some new beds.

Our trip with our 3 year old twins was perfect. We have been working hard to get them comfortable with the outdoors and this was the perfect location for them to feel adventurous and safe. We had the best time.
