Very spacious tatami room, it was clean and comfortable. The open air onsen was also a big highlight, it was large enough to fit 2 people comfortably, and the direction gave a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. The food served at the restaurant was also of good quality and felt healthy with variety. The staff were friendly and very helpful! It was a wonderful stay and we will recommend it to friends and family

The receptionist did not allow me to keep my luggage in the hotel until the lifting of the hotel front road block due to the Mt. Fuji Marathon Run. I had to argue to explain how difficult it was for me to carry all my luggages after the run with the road block still in force. There was no consideration on the patron runner from the hotel which was mean and should not be allowed to happen. I will never stay in your hotel again.

It was an amazing experience to stay here with some caveats- the condition is old but clean. And also it’s a little far from town so I wouldn’t recommend staying here more than two nights unless you have a car. The meal service as others have mentioned was a little adventurous for an American palette. However they did accommodate vegetarian/vegan with some notice and it was very tasty.

Had 3 nights here with partner in a huge room( by Japanese standards) with a fantastic view of Mt Fuji. Opposite the lake and easy access to walking paths.
Lovely attentive and accommodating staff. Having a shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at the station was a bonus.
Hotel is looking a bit dated and worn.
Overall had a comfortable and pleasant stay here.

Location of the hotel is excellent. The view from the balcony is splendid. 10 min walk from the hotel is the best spot for a great Mt Fuji photo with the lake. Room is spacious and comfortable. Staff is responsive and quick to action. One issues is that I saw a cockroach running on tatami one day so I have to take a point off. I also wish that I could book the next day breakfast as I was told the day before. When we arrive, we couldn’t book the breakfast for the next two days.

Customer service here is excellent. An extremely beautiful hotel with great views of Mt. Fuji. They have a shuttle service that will take you to and from Kawaguchiko station, which was very easy to use and extremely convenient. The breakfast and dinner is traditional Japanese food, and is absolutely worth it. The private onsen is clean and well maintained, and is offered at a very reasonable rate. They also give guests kimonos to wear throughout the hotel! My wife and I stayed 2 nights and celebrated our anniversary here. It was a magical experience, and if I ever return to Kawaguchiko, I will definitely plan on staying here!

The staff here is amazing and accomodating. They gave us a real japanese experience. Our only complaint is that because didn’t purchase the dinner package(which we didn't even know about), we had to walk a bit to eat dinner.

On first appearance I wasn’t sure when we arrived but my opinion changed as soon as we walked in and were greeted by the staff. Once we checked in the ladies /girls chose they own kimonos, with ones for the guys already in their rooms. We wore our kimonos to dinner and breakfast. The rooms were lovely and clean with beautiful views. We ate traditional breakfast and dinner and also ate a western breakfast. All were great (we didn’t like everything but that’s a matter of taste not a discredit to the food). The onsens were not crowded and our group took the opportunity to go several times. We walked to the Fuji ropeway the first afternoon and did the 40 minute hike down again (very doable). The next day we took the tourist bus to Oishi Park and then stopped a few places on the way back. Beautiful two night stay. Very glad we went. We also ate at a Noodle restaurant and Mansai Yakatori.

Upon arrival we were charged an additional 350 US dollars for an extra person despite booking the reservation for 3. This came to a total of 550 per night. Room was dirty, vents were filthy, pillows had blood stains under pillow cases. Linens were not very clean and towels were tiny and poor quality. Despite paying for an extra person room was only supplied with 2 bed linens and towels for 2 people. Upon checkout, hotel refused to hold our luggage past 10am despite this being a pretty basic standard of every other hotel I have stayed at. Very disappointed with stay. Room did not look like pictures. Would not recommend. Only plus was view of mt. Fuji. However still absolutely not worth almost 600 per night. Totally feel ripped off!!

The room is old. Facilities is outdated like 20 year ago.
The private onsen is not really an onsen. They simply boil warm water for you only.
Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi are surely a plus. The views surrounding are good. But i believe you could take a look of more options in the area.

Out of the way property mixed in with local housing. Beautiful views of lake and next to park. Staff was awesome. Just a little on dated side. But great experience overall.
