Conveniently located. Great staff.
Everything was a bit worn out (towels, shower curtain, carpet, etc) which wouldn’t really be an issue if it was priced accordingly, but it’s ridiculously overpriced. And the parking charges are highway robbery. Definitely not worth the cost.

Spent 3 nights there. Staff was super nice & helpful. Room was nice, bed comfortable. Breakfast is additional cost of $20, a little pricey, food was okay. Close to Hampden neighborhood where we have family, nice walk from the hotel.
The air conditioner/fan was noisy, we turned it off to get a break from the constant drone, and could hear conversations going on in the next room, including a very loud child, so dealt with the air conditioner noise.

We had dinner. It was excellent, far better than expected from a hotel kitchen.
Dang outdated room toilets. Too low to the floor, very difficult to use, especially since I had knee surgery @ MedStar.
3.0
The lobby, bar and free cookies and how close it was to the college for the graduation
The air conditioning didn’t work in the room and there was four of us in the room. It got pretty hot. The room would not go below 75°. We told the front desk they might want to have someone look into it but we just got “oh OK” they didn’t apologize for it or anything. We prepaid our parking, but no one told us we would need a room key to get out of the parking garage. The front desk had taken our key, but luckily, my son still had his key in his wallet and we were able to leave.

Close to Loyola University where our son goes. 4 minute drive.

Great staff, good location, good bar and breakfast
Some things feel a little dingy
4.0
The location as its just opposite JHU university .
The cleanliness can be better. The room has some strange odor and to complete one of the days of my stay my room was not been cleant by the house keeping, after spending the whole day out and when we are back tired we find our room the same way it was left.

I was double charged for parking . When I went to the front desk nobody wanted to help me. I called when I got home and still no help with my payments.

Servers at the restaurant were very efficient and professional.
The hotel was clean but it looked like it needed an interior decorator for its lobby. It’s such a waste since the location is good for those going to Johns Hopkins for tour or to attend camps.

It is the excellent location, just across the street from Johns Hopkins University. The room is big with a small refrigerator and a safe box.
Parking area is confused. There is no alarm clock and no room service for less than 4-day stay.

An excellent location for attending gathering in Johns Hopkins University. A comfortable stay.
A confused parking area.

The staff - they were what made this an exceptional experience. Yes, the room was immaculate, the bed and pillows comfy and clean, and the AC was turbo-charged, but the kind, helpful, and courteous staff cemented this hotel as the only place I will stay at on future trips to Baltimore. (Also: the hotel restaurant serves delicious and surprising food)
Honestly, nothing. There were none of the little annoyances or inconsistencies that can happen during practically any hotel stay. Everything was delivered exactly as promised

Location was good. Parking was included. The front desk staff were very nice.
It was short on amenities for the cost. The wallpaper was coming off in our room. The room was dim and small to average size. There were only two bath towels and no washcloths. Housekeeping made up the room, which we didn't expect, but left our door ajar. Thankfully wewere are at the end of the hall and nothing was taken. The bar and restaurant or an afterthought in the lobby.

I stayed here many times in the past when visiting JHU and STScI which are very close. Compared to previous stays, the place seemed a bit run down. Very few staff, and corridors very gray and dull, giving an atmosphere which was a bit gloomy. Room itself was fine, as expected, parking on site was convenient (underground garage) and place is very close for JHU campus and STScI. So overall pretty good stay.
Decor seemed very old and gray. Could use some cheerful redecoration.

Lack of food service
Dark parking lot
Lack of heat control in room
Website photos misleading

Location was convenient for us. Room pleasant and staff helpful and accommodating
It was suggested that we didn't need to have housekeeping every day which we accepted. However, if the towels weren't going to be replaced, hanging racks should be provided. There could be hanging racks in the bathroom in any case.

great room, clean
the suite of services are not available post Covid including mini store, laundry detergent and all the vending machines were out of order

The Inn at the Colonnade is the default place to stay for visitors to Johns Hopkins University and the famous Space Telescope Science Institute. Within walking distance of both, it's an obvious choice. I stayed there numerous times in the 1990s and early 2000s and enjoyed its spacious rooms and wonderful restaurant. This was my first visit since the pandemic and I was shocked to see how the place has deteriorated as a first class hotel.
In the following I don't wish to complain about any of the Colonnade staff who were welcoming and helpful. However, I simply couldn't believe how the former excellent restaurant area has been reconfigured into a basic "cafeteria-style" open-plan area contiguous with the lobby where, had I wished to enjoy an evening meal, I'd be basically sitting in full view of the bar and arriving guests. No privacy, no style. As I stood waiting to be seated, the waiter thrust a menu in my general direction as he hurried to simultaneously serve people in the bar. When I asked at reception whether there were suitable restaurants nearby, she sighed in sympathy and admitted the place has suffered greatly due to the pandemic. The bedrooms are still luxurious and spacious but why pretend this place is a first class hotel and charge the same when it has clearly gone downhill - disappointed and poor value for money. For this price it desperately needs a proper restaurant, not something like one witnesses at cheap airport hotels.

* Spacious rooms
* Location next to Johns Hopkins campus (if that matters to you)
* Breakfast was good but not included in room price
* Bedroom air conditioning gave me a sore throat
* Furniture and generally the facilities are a bit old and shabby
* Grumpy staff

Location to John's Hopkins University. Very quiet, clean, and safe . Jomah at the front desk was wonderful. She was courteous, polite, and extremely helpful.
Paper coffee cup in room with coffee maker had been used.

Nothing I will never stay there again
There was a continuous noise. That kept my guest and I up all night long into the morning. We reported the issue but the noise didn't stop. In the parking garage my guest parking ticket wouldn't work. And the ticket was validated
