Great historic building, comfortable room and decent breakfast
Front desk clerk not very helpful. She did her job, but was not friendly and we had to ask about parking, breakfast and area. Seemed like she was not having a good day, not warm and fuzzy. Did not meet expectations of expensive room
3.8
Breakfast was exceptional! Embassy suites was recommended because of its great breakfast!
Sheldon the valet was very helpful and pleasant.
Alfred in maintenance went above and beyond to get us a working microwave!
Stayed on 4th floor. One of our windows was blocked by the building.
MicroWave didn’t work. Requested service - 2nd one didn’t work either. Alfred in Maintenance said he left message to replace the next day. Didn’t happen so I called the desk. Still didn’t come so called again. Alfred in Maintenance came immediately and brought new one that didn’t fit the hole but it worked!!

Great location, staff, breakfast, happy hour & value
3.8
Great location... not your typical Embassey Suites. Due to fact it was historical building turned into hotel.
However, hotel rooms need updating. But everything was fine and facility was fine
front desk not knowledge to answer questions about reservation through booking.com stated wrong rate and did not get the room that I booked.
3.8
Great breakfast and comfortable bed
The room was very worn, and tired looking. Rug was tearing up at the seams, lampshades had holes and were browned from age. Furniture was heavily scratched and chipped, bathtub has multiple blemishes showing thru the white porcelain.
Not nice and would not recommend to anyone. Terrible value for $$$ paid
3.8
The location was great. The lobby areas were very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are in need of major renovations. There was a sense of neglect to the rooms. They were clean but dated. The bathroom downspout in the tub was coming out of the wall. The shower worked ok but it was obvious the tub needed repairs.
3.8
The breakfast was delicious and very convenient.
Everything was great.

Everything

Espaço
Ruídos a noite, vindos provavelmente da instalação hidráulica.
3.8
Location is convenient to shops and restaurants
Air conditioning in room was stuck on freezing cold. Maintenance couldn’t fix it. Front desk gave us a different room (next to the original room). Same problem. Front desk gave up and offered to give us extra blankets or refund our money. We had to find other arrangements after messing around for a couple hours with that nonsense.
Separately, the hotel is in need of updating. Very worn out, dark and dingy. Definitely not what I expect from Embassy Suites.
3.8
location and very clean great breakfast good wifi
old facilities need upgrades. not worth the value

This facility is not up to Embassy Suites standards, after being a client for over40 years, I’M VERY DISAPPOINTED
Below Embassy standards

Beautiful building outside, location was okay.
The room we stayed in was priced at $411, yet parking which it said on booking was an added feature was not complementary it was 40$ for valet or 35$ for the parking garage which was also a homeless persons bedroom. The room it self seemed dated and the wallpaper in the bathroom was bubbled. The bathroom looked as had it recently been updated with a nice counter top yet the grout in the tub was stained and not white. Looked like mold or mildew growing. Carpet and furniture very dated. For a room that is supposed to book for 900$ a night, what a disappointment! Although, we only paid $411 still such a disappointment this was our last stay on our vacation. In which we stayed mostly at Holiday Inn Express suites on this week long trip. We had much better accommodations at those locations, than at this one for a much lower price. Even in downtown Savannah!
3.8
Beds were comfortable
Dated hotel. Room was very humid/stuffy.
3.8
Lokacija odlična, doručak prosječan, možda i slabiji od toga.
Odnos recepcije na odlasku bio je hladan i nepristojan, za razliku od dolaska kada je bilo sve super.
3.8
Great downtown location
Dirty, staff was not pleasant or helpful. Faucet fell off in tub and so I could not shower. I asked for repair and the staff failed to repair it three times. Ultimately took two days to ultimately get the repair done.
3.8
Coffee avaible during day would be good.....as in other hotels
3.8
Breakfast was excellent.
Bathroom was small. No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and clothes.
3.8
Staff was friendly
Air in room did not work at all.
3.8
The location was close to many restaurants.
There is a $35 a day fee for valet parking, which wasn’t disclosed upon reservation.

Location
I do not even know where to start.
Yes it’s old. That doesn’t bother me.
This was the most expensive hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Charleston yet it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
AC is non existent. We woke up at 1am every night sweating. Temps were in the 80s in the room! Asked front desk to have someone check it out for us, and was told it was fixed, yet it was NOT. So hot and humid ( no fan in bathroom either), I started having breathing issues and I do not have allergies or asthma ! We ended leaving a day early because we could not stand it.
Booked through Booking.com and was supposedly getting a 2 bedroom king suite but Embassy staff said that didn’t exist. It’s a one bedroom with king bed and a living area with the worst pull out sofa bed ever made.
The free breakfast was sad so do not let that be a selling feature if you’re considering this place. Sausage on buffet was actually ICE cold. Maybe I should have collected some of it and used it to cool the hotel room. 😡
Asked multiple times for more coffee pods but never got them. Was placed on hold by housekeeping or front desk ( not sure) for 15-20 mins plus every time I asked for something, which I never got!
Front desk staff did not seem to care one bit. Vallet did work their butts off- and we tipped them well but I hope the hotel pays them the $35 per night fee we’re charged so the hotel itself does not keep that money.
Location is nice. That is its only positive.
I am making a formal call to Hilton tomorrow. I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel before. Booking.com did contact the hotel for me to help me get a refund for the night we did NOT stay, since we checked out early.

Dated facility with poor climate control

The building was a lovely historic building, the breakfast was great, staff friendly
Our room was a shocker. Badly stained carpet, wood chips off all of the dark brown kitchen cupboards, broken tiles in bathroom, wallpaper repair in bathroom is a joke. The new piece was just torn off the roll and stuck on the wall. Bath was rusty and badly and roughly repaired, Bed was so noisy every time one of us moved. When we pointed this out to staff we were told the manager would be in contact with us, which he didn't. Contacted us after we contacted Hilton. We paid nearly $500 a night for a 2 star room. Manager offered us compensation but when we agreed we have never heard from him again

Hotel is close to downtown and shopping. Room was clean and the staff was very nice and welcoming.
Hotel needs a major update, everything was pretty outdated.
3.8
The breakfast was good and the service was great . A good selection to choose from,
Everything was fine , staff was very helpful. Deodorize the rooms would be good.

location, happy hour, breakfast, historic feel of hotel.

perfect location! we walked out the door and walked all over the historic district. The free hot breakfast every morning was wonderful. Free water bottles at the front desk and the staff were all amazing.

The closeness to the historic district.
Beds were uncomfortable, exhaust fan didn’t work, furnishings outdated.
3.8
Location was very close to everything
The room was large but the bathroom was on the small side
Breakfast was good with a lot of choices including
made to order eggs and omelets
The property is dated and needs a facelift

Our room was poorly lit, and looked like we’re were in an old basement apartment.
