Le petit-déjeuner inclus a guidé notre choix; très apprécié, car nous quittions tôt le matin.

I had a good stay at Samesun and would use them again in my next visit to Banff.

The staff were the best: friedly, helpful and kind.

The kitchen area got a bit crowded at times.

Desgusting

Helpful staff

The room I was in 203 it was desgusting. The mess that people had in the room was extreme. I found cups on the floor, 2 tins of beer and 1 bottle of wine. Very disrespectful people. I am almost 40 and I consider you should put older people in less noisy rooms. My bed clothes were dirty. It is the worse hostel I have been in.

one need experience this place! Beautiful place for backpackers!

I loved everything about the property but the price was little too high for the hostel for five days stay i had to pay around 455 CAD but rest of it I loved it. It super close to downtown and staff are just wonderful, I made so many friends here! Would love to be part of Samesun family oneday!

We were so disappointed with this place! There were 7 of us that booked for 1 room and were surprised we will be sharing room with another 7 strangers! It was not clear in their website! Also they took money from my account right away, I was told it will just be on hold but they actually took the money! The front desk is not very helpful, we cancelled our stay but were not refunded because there is NOTHING that their management can do about it!! We were not even given an option! We want our money back! This place is the worst place I ever booked! Stay away from this place! I hope booking.com will take immediate action on this!

Best hostel in town

Staff were great 👍 felt like a big family with everyone, from locals to staff to guests!!! And whoever made the muffins, SHOUT OUT!!!! they were delicious 🤤

I ended up being in a room full of only men who spelt horrible and hogged the bathroom 😂😂😂 other then that everything was great. And now I have Funny story to tell 🤙 thanks samesun for a great night in Banff 🙌🏼🫶🏼 also I can’t forgot to show out Karaoke night 🎤🎶 sing it @thebeaverbar @samesun #sunday #funday #happyhouralldaysunday

Great hostel

Location was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable and warm. There was even a fire in the room. Charging points and lights with every bunk. Bathroom was in the room with lovely hot shower. Great common room. Friendly lively bar with food. Free breakfast and coffee in the morning. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Highly recommend if your in Banff.

If I were to be picky I'd say 1 cooker and 1 sink in the shared kitchen is not enough. The kitchen was locked until 7am and the breakfast was after 8. So if you are an early riser it might be a bit of a nuisance. But there is coffee available at the garage next door. Perhaps put a coffee vending machine of some kind there? But that's a small thing. Overall it was great.

Would not stay again

Convenient location.

Stayed in a 8 female dormitory room and was the last to arrive. All the lockers already had stuff in it (although not all were locked). Some of the girls treated the room like a dumping ground for their personal items, leaving their razor on the bathroom floor, clothes behind the bathroom door, and there were at least 2-3 hair curlers/hair brush around the sink. It was terrible and made me feel extremely unwelcome, not to mention the entire place felt dirty because of all the personal items lying around. Went to hostels in Europe before and it was not like this, not sure if it’s a cultural difference but at highly discouraged from staying in a hostel in Canada.

Most pleasant of the 3 hostels in town

Common areas were nice. No need to go outside for the bar, kitchen, or reception.

Only one working fridge for all guests. some walls in the kitchen needed a cleaners attention. No second chances given. Not all beds had curtains

Great value for money, clean with friendly staff

Great location, spacious dorm, lovely free breakfast including pancakes, friendly staff, nice and clean 👍

only thing I could fault, was that the bunk bed was VERY creaky every time one of us even moved slightly.

Exceptional

Breakfast is really good, can sit and have some pancakes, or can quickly grab a muffin on the way out. Location is close to a bus stop for the ski resorts and a short walk to the centre of town. I was in 102 and it was spacious, warm, and the water pressure / temperature in the shower was perfect. But the best part is the staff. Every single person was so helpful and professional. Brad, Sophie, Katie, Taylah, Shead, Noah were always friendly on front desk. Abbey, Georgia, Phil, Kelly, Ainsley, Benji providing excellent food and drinks in the beaver bar. And the rooms were super clean and well maintained thanks to Daisy, Joe, and Angel. You can tell Katie the manager has done an amazing job setting up a healthy workplace which gives the awesome vibe. Thus why i have stayed there so much over the past year and will continue to recommend to everyone!
