Great location within Newport. Room poorly placed about bar

Location within Newport was great.

Directly below our room was a bar that was open until 2 am. It was so loud we had to buy ear plugs and download white noise apps on our phone. It’s completely unreasonable to think any person could fall asleep with all that noise.

Disappointing other than the view.

The view from the room was nice.

We were in room 201. Unbeknownst to us because it was our first time in Newport, there must be a bar underneath the hotel, we’re guessing? The noise level starting around 8:30 was insanely loud until all hours of the night! We stayed a Friday and Saturday night in March. The first night we thought it was noise from other rooms partying around us, the second night we realized there had to be a bar underneath us but it was too late to ask for a new room. It was a family trip to visit local colleges and both of our sons said it was the worst experience staying at a hotel they’ve ever had, which was very unfortunate because it marred the whole weekend, due to the fact that we had to be in bed early and up early for the college visit days. I can’t believe I didn’t see any other reviews about this, unless the hotel purposefully takes them down. Hopefully this review stays up long enough to save someone else the same misery. Very disappointing! The parking was also not optimal, but that another story!

Thin walls, my room had pee on the toilet when I checked in and the shower floor wasn’t very clean either.

Great views of the harbor and bridge

Comfort of home , downtown shopping and restaurants was very convenient

Tenants upstairs were too loud all throughout the night . Nice size bed but very hard and uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have a throw blanket in the living room.

Great place

Very comfortable and great location. Definitely a hidden gem in Newport. Would recommend. Perfect for a solo traveler, couple or family. Rooms are spacious and the kitchenette is a great feature.

Lovely views and a lovely stay

Beautiful views, friendly staff, free parking was a nice touch.

Having the bedroom next to the door leading to the hallway made it hard to nap during the day when folks were moving around.

They knew we had a baby but they put us directly above a nightclub and none of us got any sleep.

They knew we were coming with a baby because I told them and they provided a pack and play. Nonetheless they placed our room directly above a loud nightclub. We were there for my brothers wedding and got no sleep. We tried using 3 sound machines but the baby kept waking up from the sound of the bass. The pack and play they provided was dirty and smelled like it had been with someone who was a smoker. The front desk staff was kind and apologetic when I complained, and they said they had notified upper management and that the manager Darcy would call me but she never did. I called the number on her card. several times after the stay and got the same run around. I had asked for a refund of the night when the nightclub kept us up all night but was told they would give me points back although I kept telling them I didn’t use points to book the room so this was completely useless.

Pleasant hotel in a good location but pricey for what you get

Location was good. Ladies at the front desk were very friendly. Room was clean

I enjoyed my stay overall. the only things holding this property back from the highest rating is the smell of the room a

beautiful location, exquisitely comfortable beds, complimentary washers and dryers and ease of parking at peak season we’re all highlights of my stay

the room noticeably smelled of cigarettes every time I entered the room, and the air conditioning is particularly loud.

My husband and I love Newport and the Wyndham Inn always gets it right 😊

We had an efficiency and did not have meals through the resort. Recommendation were given. The efficiency is great giving us a choice of eating out or in. The meals eaten in town were very affordable.
