The location was terrific! Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean was such a treat. The breakfast was very good and the accommodations very comfortable. Brian was a wealth of knowledge with tips on “must see/do” activities
Nothing…everything was great!

Everything was great. Amazing place, lovely people!

The breakfast was delicious and the managers were very friendly.

The property was charming… it felt as if I took a trip to the past … but with well thought out updated charm. The sound of the waves outside my window lulled me to sleep every night. Breakfast was above and beyond. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. I hope I can return some day.

Excellent home away from home with a comfortable feeling. The ocean bayfront was a bonus but the true star are the interior decoration, wonderful staff, charming century-old house with modern amenities. They even helped with my laundry!

The breakfast was amazing, and Brian and his wife couldn't have been nicer.
The only thing we would have liked is a TV in the room.

Spacious bedrooms, cosy atmosphere and the kindness of the owners. An excellent lodging option to explore the Vulcanos Park and waterfalls.

LOCATION was fantastic right on the cliff face. My husband is a builder and I have to say, he didn't sleep well with the waves crashing, but I found them very restful. The staff was exceedingly pleasant and helpful!
Perfect!

A beautiful oasis tucked in off the main road.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature has taken back the property on the water side.

My wife and I booked this vacation only a couple of weeks ago. With the holiday rush approaching our lodging options were limited, so I was thrilled to find an available room at the Hilo Bay Oceanfront B&B. We chose it mainly because it was available, but felt like we found the best B&B on the island!
Tomomi and Brian were superb hosts. They were always available to answer questions and offer suggestions for things to see and do. There were amenities, like drinks and snacks, that were beyond anything we had expected. Breakfast was fabulous. The view from our room was magnificent. The building has the charm of an old place (we loved the woodwork), but is maintained to modern standards. This will definitely be our first choice the next time we are in Hilo.

A great place right at Hilo Bay, a few minutes walking from downtown Hilo.
I had a great room consisting of a kingsize bed and a nice sitting area. The room is overlooking Hilo Bay. The waves sing you into your sleep.
The room was very clean. There is a daily housekeeping. Free coffee, tea, water and snacks are available for the guests around the clock.
Great breakfast, you can choose between many options. I went for the mac-pancakes, just delicious. A nice fruit plate was served as kind of a starter.
Laundry is included in the price and is done for you.
An absolutely great place.
Everything is great.

Carolyn's place was a perfect location for my niece and I to experience aa much of Kauai in 4 days as possible. The space is beautiful and comfortable! The ocean-facing lanai was perfect for morning coffee & evening wave watching. The condo was also nice and clean; the only reason this space did not get a 10 is the living area rug really needs to be replaced or cleaned. Thank you Carolyn!

View. Good choice at breakfast and perfect serving size.
Probably only negative was stairs up to entry landing.

Although we only stayed for one day, it was great! Bill took care of us and the breakfast was great. Room was very nice with a great view. They were doing improvements to the property while we were there. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
There was some debris out side of our side window but I suspect that it was due to the renovations they are working on.

The old family house has been successfully remodeled as a B&B. The natural breeze, plus the ceiling fan, kept us comfortable. Cheryl prepared excellent omelettes and fruit plates to order, which she obliged us by serving in our room. They provide many teas and snacks as well as coffee from shelves in the entry hall for our convenience. The view of Hilo Bay was delightful. The surf was not as noisy as other places with different lava beds at the shoreline. The hosts were pleasant and agreeable to our storing drinks and food in the refrigerator. We did not cook, but fetched takeaway dinners to eat in the breakfast room. The location is very convenient to downtown and to driving up the coast road.
The mattress did not agree with my back, causing stiffness next morning. There was a tendency to roll one to the outer edge, but not the middle. The small bed was better for me. My husband was comfortable.

Nice 100 year-old house above the beach, within walking distance of downtown Hilo. Full use of well-equipped kitchen. Fruits (papaya), veggies (avocados) and packaged snacks were on hand, included. Breakfast was real and home cooked, not the horrible packaged processed food you find in hotels.

Delightful owners. Good breakfast and a wonderful property. Dining etc. is nearby. We would recommend staying there.
Our bed was very soft and felt like we were rolling towards the middle. If you prefer a firmer bed I would suggest calling and discussing beforehand.
