The house and the room were perfectly clean, the garden is a little paradise.
One of the best places I’ve had the opportunity to stay while travelling.

It felt like home. We were sent a welcoming text from Steve in the morning. The Inn was charming and spotless. Steve has thought of everything. Dishes, flat ware so that you can make a simple breakfast. Local coffee and homemade banana bread in the screened porch. A beautiful garden filled with flowers and veggies. The rooms have real blankets and quilts. The bathroom has hooks and shelves exactly where you need them as well as a hairdryer. We will always stay here!

The owner, Steve, is a fabulous host. We immediately felt welcomed and right at home as we were checking in. His gardens around the property are lovely and make for a beautiful and peaceful setting. Our stay was delightful and quiet and we really enjoyed the fact that there was no tv in our room. We borrowed a deluxe Scrabble game from the main house to play after dinner. There were lots of games and books to choose from, So fun! This a a nice quiet property and so relaxing. Noisy groups of friends or families with small excitable children may prefer a place with more to keep them busy. Another great thing is the location- it’s only about ten minutes to downtown Damariscotta where there are some really great restaurants. It is also close to New Harbor, where we went to go on the Hardy Boat Audubon Puffin Watch (highly recommend!!); there are all sorts of art galleries and artisanal shops in the area as well. The accommodations were great! Clean and comfortable and we all slept well. Also Steve provides delicious banana bread and great coffee in the main house in the morning!!! I highly recommend Hawks House Inn. You will enjoy your stay!😊
No complaints!

Steve was so accommodating to our group, the property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were sparkling clean with comfy beds. It was so much better than I had even pictured and the owner Steve is incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend!
I can’t think of anything, but if you want to be close to bars or be able to be super rowdy this is not the place for that

Delightful early 19th century restored farmhouse nestled in the woods. Homely and welcoming. Lovely room with comfortable beds. Small kitchen and lounge area for guests and access to the garden. The house is furnished with interesting items collected by the friendly and helpful host, Steve. Homemade banana bread, coffee and tea provided for breakfast. We certainly recommend a visit.

Very convenient and a great host!
I loved everything but by partner would have liked a tv in the room for football Sundays. Not a negative by any means but something I didn’t even consider in booking that my partner would have wanted.

Steve is a great host! He texted us prior to arrival to make sure we were on track for arrival. He had the room ready and offered coffee, tea, and bread in the morning. It was a very comfortable room and had everything we needed. Steve also offered sightseeing advice that was helpful.
Everything was great and met our expectations!

Clean and pleasant. Loved having morning coffee on the screened in porch.
Location was not as convenient as I had hoped. Not really near anything.
My husband was disappointed there was no breakfast.

My friend needed a place to stay last minute as her partner needed surgery in the Dammeriscotta hospital. Steve was so gracious to help her out. He helped her get a room each night even though he had to go to great lengths to arrange things. It was a Comfortable and calming place for her to stay. Everything was perfect there.

We loved everything about our stay. Our room at the carriage house was so comfortable - it really felt like a home-away-from-home. Steve was warm and welcoming and the vibe was just lovely and relaxing.
That I have to travel thousands of miles to stay there again.

Steve was very accommodating he changed our room based on stair limitations. It was so nice to unwind without television the garden area was very peaceful and quiet. Fresh banana bread was delicious. Steve made us feel at home and was extremely knowledgeable of the area we will definitely go back.

Nothing not to like

Steve communicated with me very well, especially since we knew we'd be arriving after normal check-in. We emailed and texted. The room was quiet and had everything as described. Steve was helpful about finding antiques/thrift stores and breakfast in the area.
There was really nothing not to like. The room and atmosphere were as described online. Just coffee and banana bread are offered to get you started before heading out to breakfast, but that's made clear.
9.0
The property is beautiful, especially the garden. The room was clean and spacious.
It was a bit challenging to get breakfast in the area, especially before 9 am. Our room didn’t have a bathtub although some rooms do.
