I was on time, but unexpected.
The Inn was full.
I was told my reservation had been cancelled.
Neither the staff nor I recall cancelling my reservation.
We both think the fault lies with Booking.com

This is the real deal. I loved the decor, and the bathroom is a dream come true. Vaughan and Kimmie are an entertaining dynamic duo. This is the best of the costal south.
Make sure to read thru the reviews. This is a small bnb with traditional mahogany antique furniture. The owner and housekeeper are very involved in the guests lives, and are characters! You need to be looking for this type of experience

Awesome breakfast- Kimmie prepared creative, delicious and beautifully presented meals for us! Vonne is a most gracious host, so willing to help with our visit. Super comfortable suite and bed, plus two lovely porches with very comfortable seating options. A lovely place to end the evening or begin the day. Wonderful art. Parking!!! Highly recommend!

The staff was awesome. The food was stupendous.
3.5
The breakfast was delicious! Also, the location of the facility is great. It is Located in the beautiful historic section of Charleston and is only about half a block from one of the main roads in Charleston, giving easy access to restaurants, shopping and historical areas.
While a great example of historic Charleston homes, the house was overly cluttered with rugs and pictures and paraphernalia. However, the photos and paraphernalia were mostly of historic value. The biggest problem I had it was with the owner of the home who I found to be domineering, intrusive and condescending. At one point she attempted to physically grab a spoon out of my hand (I was apparently not using the spoon correctly to place jam on my bread) and I had to tell her not to put her hands on me. She also seemed to take offense when my wife did not come down for breakfast, one morning, having overslept due to being tired. Had she not been present during our days at the home it would’ve been a completely positive visit as her helper was a delightful woman and an excellent cook.

Very authentic and charming house in a splendid location. Fantastic breakfast prepared by Kim. Vaughn provided lots of great insights about the history and even took us on a tour around the town in her private car!

The breakfast was AMAZING! Haven’t had a breakfast that good since my Memamma cooked them for me! The house was beautifully decorated to reflect the southern charm of Charleston.
Miss Vaughn was a pleasant hostess. She has a certain way she wants things done, which at first seems intimidating , but we came to understand that her requests were due to the pride that she has in her home.

Beautiful historic home located on quiet street corner within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The owner, Vaughan greeted us with such warm, southern hospitality. Kim was lovely as well. We did not want for anything. The residence has lovely porches, beautiful gardens and the interior was decorated in a style perfectly depicted for the era it was created. Our accommodations provided us with a very relaxing and comfortable weekend get away. Most importantly the bed was very comfy. And if the setting wasn't enough to rave about the fresh made breakfasts were phenomenal.
There is NOTHING not to like.

Great location full of character with a spacious and comfortable bedroom suite.
nothing to dislike.

The B and B house was meticulously appointed with antiques, beautifully framed pictures and period piece amenities. Wonderful southern hospitality coupled with warm reception and home. Amazing breakfasts by Miss Kim made for a special addition to our visit.

The breakfast was very good .
If you want to step back in time this is for you but no modern facilities and far to many rules and regulations a full list left at the side of the bed and other notes left around bedroom and bathroom .

The breakfast was great, as was the location. The host was very accomodating. Flowers and plants everywhere outside. Expansive porches were great for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning.
Home is very victorian, which is not our thing, but the porches, garden, location, price etc made it a good stay!
4.5
Breakfast was more than adequate. Location within walking distance to attractions. Comfortable home feel.
Would have liked a few more amenities for the price. Water bottles , maybe hot tea available. No lotion, which was a surprise.

The home was amazing! We stayed at multi B&B's and this was by far the nicest! Breakfast was wonderful and there was so much food could not eat it all. Staff was very nice and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed.
The only thing I would suggest is having coffee pot in room. My husband likes to drink coffee at all hours.

This 19th century beauty is filled with charm and old-fashioned hospitality. Located on a lovely quiet street it offers a rare opportunity to enjoy peace and quiet and is perfectly positioned for walking to all the fabulous restaurants and shops in the Historic district. Vaughn, the owner and hostess, has created an atmosphere of comaraderie and contentment. Her breakfasts are exceptional. She has a passion for putting flavors together and making beautiful looking food. I highly recommend that you take a detour from the ordinary to this extraordinary bed and breakfast.
