Antonio was very nice, he prepared himself the breakfast every morning. We got something different every morning, he prepared it with his heart😊 and the balcony is also amazing!

This place runs on love. As far from the madding crowd of southern Tenerife as you could possibly imagine, it is surprising to happen upon this time capsule of old-world Spanish hospitality. How can it possibly have survived the tsunami of industrial meat processing that is mass modern tourism; our screaming penchant for the instant fix? But it has. To enter the Pension Silene is to step back to a time before the internet, before television (there aren’t any), before plastic even. The spaces are all spotless double height, marble floored and cooly envelop you in an atmosphere of pre-(civil) war relaxation. The furniture is a muted protest against the arrival of Franco by refusing ever to have been up-dated since.
And the breakfast… Oh yes! The breakfast. This starts as a delightfully flowered bone china tea set formally presented, cup upended along with miniature cutlery; delicate knife, teaspoon and cake fork. The casa hombre soon arrives with an enormous tray bearing a selection of three delicious sec hams, three local Manchego cheeses, three sorts of handmade breads, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, enough freshly brewed coffee for at least three refills, hot milk, a plate of freshly made scrambled egg, a slab of butter and a measure of jam each on a dish (no finicky motorway services catering miniature packs here) and finally a lightweight pastry to finish the feast.
Bury the smartphone, and go here to cleanse and renew your soul whilst rediscovering your faith in humanity…

Everything! The localisation was perfect in the center of La Orotava, our host was helpful, the hotel is charming and nicely decorated. We had a room with a balcony and that was a real asset.
Nothing... It is a small hotel with all what we expected

Good location for hiking to Teide, located in the historical center of La Orotava, the hotel is very stylish.
There is no central heating in the hotel, only the electronic heaters, while the floor in the room was tiled and therefore quite cold. You need some time to heat the room.

The breakfast was large and nice with local produce. We especially enjoyed the large balcony in our room with views to the sea and Mount Teide.
The room was a bit cold and we needed a (noisy) heater in the evenings and night to keep warm. But this is to be expected this time a year (January).

Lovely Spanish house in a great location. Excellent Spanish breakfast that varied each morning. Bed was amazingingly comfortable and large. Great sized terrace.
A larger pot of coffee with breakfast would have been good

Beautiful old house, with period furniture and a sun terrace with a commanding view. The breakfast was good and varied from day to day.

Very central and yet very quiet and with wonderful views
The architecture is very authentic and reminded us of the riads in Morocco.
It is a small family place with a pleasant atmosphere and only handful of rooms.
No luxury but plain, clean and simple with a wonderful views from the terrace and sun in the late afternoon
The nice breakfast is served in a unique setting at the ground floor of the riad like building
Nothing important. Parking was a bit complicated and we could have wished for more power outlets inside, especially by the bed. But convenient power outlets outside at the large terrace .

I stayed at this place for the second time and it's great considering the quality-to-price ratio.
Super clean with comfortable beds, and great wifi. Also, right in the historical center of Orotava.

Great location with balcony view, very nice owners, breakfast served on the table-different every day, local products. Very nice building in Orotava style
Someone could have a problem with parking close to the bulding, but we found everyday parking place on the public parking 150 m far away.

I stayed in the family-owned stylish house turned hotel, the owner has put a great deal of attention to detail to keep this beautiful furniture, china and design elements to fit the ambience.
Amazing breakfasts with local fruit and charcuterie or cheeses.
The room had a terrace overseeing the old town. Great location and flair

Delicious, quality and varied breakfast every morning. The most kind, helpful and thoughtful hosts who make you feel like you're staying with family. Beautiful view on the ocean and Teide from the terrace. Right in the historic center of La Orotava, near coffee shops and tapas bars. Parking is available on the street or in a near parking lot, both free. Great location for daytrips to Teide, Anaga and Teno mountains.

Very simple and humble place. Only what is important : a space to sleep, a terrace looking at the ocean and quietness. I liked very much the breakfast, the location and the atmosphere of the place.
they should remove the plastic plant in the bathroom and have the possibility to blackout the window.
there's is no sound insolation, which didn't bother me but it can be very present in the morning.

I like historical style of building
I miss sofa, hair dryer and more electrical outlets
