Wonderful location and beautiful historical buildings. Nice and warm too!

Beautiful historical building. Very friendly staff. The rooms were very warm which was such a comfort in the chilly Xela evenings.

The typical breakfast included did not include any cheese or cream for the beans and/or plantains. The tortillas were made produced, thin, tasteless and cold. A big disappointment compared to the typical breakfast included at Lake Atitlan and in Antigua.

Excelente hotel en todo sentido;

Absolutamente lo recomiendo, fue una experiencia muy bonita, todo el hotel es precioso, las habitaciones acogedoras, limpio, nos encantó toda la decoración de Navidad dentro del hotel y excelente ubicación en Xela. Tuvimos el honor de conocer a dueño y pudimos ver de dónde viene la excelencia del hotel.

It is always my go to in Xela! Not only is the hotel historic and lovely the people make this a wonderful place to stay. There is a parking lot that is walled and very safe perfect for the traveler picking up and packing goods for work!

Beautiful Heritage Hotel.

Because the hotel is across from central park, I was concerned about noise but our room was very quiet. The hotel is lovely and much bigger than I expected. Very clean, friendly staff and lovely decor.

Lots of stairs. The hotel has 5 floors and no elevator. It's also on the pricey side.

Excelent but inconvenient for cars and slippery street.

Breakfast was good, the place is amazing! The owner and everyone very friendly. Our room cleaner, Yohana was very kind and efficient.

Lots of stairs without an elevator. No Parking in front. Dangerous and slippery street in front of the building. Very difficult to be picked up or to be returned to the hotel.. Can’t call on the phone (regular house phone) from the room. Dim lighting in the room, but they brought us another lamp.

Could be a 5 star, managed like a 3 star. Poor value for price.

The location is great and the building itself is very beautiful

The price of the room indicated that it would be a 4 or 5 star experience but when we got to the room it didn't have all the amenities listed and felt like it was being managed like a 3 star. The balcony was really just a window and there wasn't a working fireplace, someone just put a space heater in. The lighting was harsh. In general the hotel just wasn't what you'd expect for the price. Its in an incredible historical building but it hasn't been kept up to match the classic architecture or really live up to its potential. It's seems like the owners don't want to invest in it. There's no vision. The decor is mismatched and feels tacky. Just not the unique experience we expected.

Great location. Lots of stairs to climb.

Great location in an historical building.

No elevators. Parking was on fifth floor, reception on the first. For an older person or someone with a disability it was very difficult to get up and down stairs, especially considering the elevation is almost 8,000 feet above sea level. Breakfast was just average.
