Next to a creek with a patio under trees! Very spacious with three bedrooms with larges beds and very spacious common areas too! Would book again!

The location is wonderful. I feel that the cleaning crew could have done a better job, and there could be more comforts (like throw blankets for lounging on the couch). I suggest bringing your own if you stay here.

Loved the location and loved the large creek/river next to the house. A perfect place to stay if you are looking to not have something extremely nice and a great crash pad for snowboarding/skiing/using the mountain and things around it. Upstairs is nice and has a great kitchen and bath, the downstairs is a little rough but great to hangout in.

Cozy little home in a beautiful setting. The house was clean upon arrival and stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfy and we were happy with our stay. Make sure to read your check in instructions to find out where the lockboxes are. I didn’t and had a hard time getting in.

Liked · Pros: Beautiful stream behind the house, lovely shady trees all around, very close to all the attractions we wanted to see, big house with nice beds.
Disliked · We were expressly warned that quiet hours were between 10pm and 8 am, yet three out of four nights we were awoken by the neighbors yelling obscenities and shining flashlights through the windows! On the last night I was woken at 2 am and 6:45 am. To make matters worse, there were no window coverings on our window, and inadequate shades on the living room window. Totally unacceptable. The master bedroom door couldn't be opened because the latch got caught on the door jamb, trapping me in the room one night. Not a restful vacation :(

Felt almost secluded as all the windows and deck faced the back toward the creek. The sound from it was so relaxing. All the complaints sound here have been addressed minus the stairs pulling away from the house. I loved our stay. I wanted to let someone know, but unsure how. The soap door on the dishwasher doesn't work. It might be broken, but we've never seen one like it or seen it close correctly. I'm sure by the time someone else stays, it will most likely be fixed.

It was okay
Manager never responded my messages and still haven't a week later, blender was broke, front window and couple others didn't have blinds so, no privacy.

Unclean
Unclean, beds not changed, limited linens, property management was responsive though

Winter getaway
This place was great for a quick ski trip to Mt Hood. There is such a huge contrast between the two floors of the house. The first floor is furnished and thoughtful, the basement is AWFUL. There is no furniture in the family room downstairs which makes it totally unusable- no couch, chair, just an air hockey table. The bedroom downstairs literally just has a bed, no night side table, lamp, dresser. The cleaner was still there when we arrived at the check-in time and the checkout time was 10 am, earlier than most other rentals.

Winter Getaway
Bathtub not clean.
Snow on walkway to garage not shoveled.
Christmas ornament hooks on the floor (was it swept?)

Great place for a mountain getaway
House was well maintained and clean. Loved being so close to the river and so many trails for hiking. House was pretty well appointed with some strange gaps (only two wine glasses, no microwave, no towel hooks in the main bathroom), but overall we found what we needed and had a good stay.

We loved the location and private deck overlooking the creek. The king beds were very comfortable. The laundry room was very handy and the washer/dryer work well. The bathroom hot tub was nice. We stayed for 2 weeks.
Our biggest dissatisfaction was the Mildew/Mold smell that was difficult to eliminate. The lower level was unbearable except for the bathroom. Other than that and some cleaning/maintenance issues we had a nice stay. The ZigZag mountain cafe and Inn provided some nice dining in close proximity to the house.

Perfect Mountain Retreat
Well appointed house that is great for families. No A/C and no Microwave but certainly has everything else you’d need to enjoy your stay near Mt Hood.

Great location in need of upkeep
This is a nice property in a great location for Mt Hood activities. The property has not been kept up as it should.
Positively, the kitchen equipment is excellent for a rental. Beds/linens were good. The washer and dryer were very good and a godsend. Location very quiet and private.
For the issues with upkeep:
- The single handle kitchen faucet cannot be controlled for hot or cold water (most of the time you get cold, sometimes hot).
- Packaging tape was attempted to hold airflow registers in place (didn't work).
- Blue painters tape is used to try and secure some screens in windows.
- There is a dangerous 1" gap in the rise between the steps to the deck and the deck that we tripped on at least once.
- The deck is slanted and separating from the house.
- The dining room pleather chairs are in desperate need of re-upholstery (no longer have pleather on them).
- The deck needs repainting.
- The main double/glass entry door from the deck needs some attention. The latch plate is bent to force the door to latch/lock but it's unusual, you cannot close the door behind you without turning the handle.
- The floor in one of the bedrooms was sticky (needed cleaning).
- The lower floor/basement smelled strongly of mold.
- There were dead insects in multiple window sills.
- There is a barrage of remote controls for TV/Tivo, etc. However most of the batteries are dead, there are no directions, and you can watch pretty much only what is already recorded to Tivo.
- There are two full stoves but no microwave.
- Indoor window sills need repainting.
- There are lightbulbs out in various rooms.
- Bathroom bulb over shower, tub, and some over the sinks are out.
We attempt to reach out to Vacasa prior to posting this information. Didn't get a response.
The location is great. The property needs help. This is our first Vacasa rental disappointment.

Spacious yet cozy
My girlfriends did our annual summer trip at Azalea Breeze this year & we loved it! More than once we commented on how it felt like we were in a tree house. The deck is beautiful. The house is so surrounded by trees that you can barely see the houses nearby. It feels very private.
The downstairs has a huge amount of space with nothing in it, which we assume is for ski equipment, but we were there in the summer so we dreamed of what else could go there, like a seating area, dance floor or more games (there is a Foosball table). It could host an epic slumber party if you brought your own air mattresses.
We loved being able to drive to nearby Government Camp & we also spent an afternoon at Trillium Lake.
Wonderful house, wonderful trip!
Loved:
Beautiful location
Open floor plan
Patio that makes you feel like you're in a tree house
Comfortable beds
All the kitchen tools you could need (except microwave)
Plenty of towels & sheets & pillows
Laundry
Didn't love:
Stairs leading to home a little shaky & rickety
Downstairs had a musty smell (it is in the forest, so it wasn't surprising or overpowering, just noticeable)
Dining chairs had faux leather finish flaking off each one
We had such a wonderful time!
Highly recommend!

The house was clean and well provisioned. Close to the slopes as was our goal. Be sure to get the WiFi code before leaving rhododendron, as there is no service at the house.

Cabin in the Woods
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this cabin in the woods. Loved how you are truly in the woods, with the deck overhanging the little creek/river. The river drowns out any noise of surrounding neighbors. It's a family cabin not a boujee vacation place which is exactly what we were looking for. There were only nitpicky things that keep it from being a 5 star experience, but overall would definitely love to come back again. Plan on bringing good company because a place like this is meant to get away with great friends/family. We played drinking games downstairs and had fun making delicious charcuterie boards and grilling upstairs. The neighbor was extremely nice and friendly. Only about 30-40 minute drive to Mt Hood Meadows parking lot which was so amazing not having to deal with long commutes to get to the mountain. Only wish is that we would have stayed for more nights. Hope to go back again soon, would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Especially people that know how to enjoy the company they bring. Pretty mind blown theres anything on here below a 3 star review.

The house was awesome very big and lots of room for our group.
If you have a big party make sure you take extra paper towels, garbage bags and other items. We ran out the first day of things like this. Luckily there is dollar general close to go grab what is needed. Limited pans for cooking so if your cooking for a big group more then 4 I would bring your own.

Worst house I have ever rented.
My family and I rent several houses a year and this is by far the worst. Started with no key to get in when we arrived. The house had a very strange odor. Very shotty remodel/ repair jobs throughout the house. Dried on food in the “washed” pots and pans. Old food left in the oven. 2 kitchen towels in the entire house. No extra paper towels or garbage bags, 1 extra roll of toilet paper. Worst part is the heat went out in the middle of the night. Vacasa was very responsive to this. Someone came out and brought us a space heater and the propane tank was being filled about 3-4 hours later. However the electric in the house is awful. Plugged the heater they brought us in and turned it on. About 20 minutes later I smelt something weird. The plug-in was smoking and melted. Almost started a fire in the wall. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a house. Would never stay here again.

Cute house in nice location
it was a little hard to find, but we arrived in the dark. Make sure that you have the detailed directions to get to the house as it has a shared driveway, with poorly marked addresses. And no light for the parking area. This house is in a lovely, heavily wooded neighborhood, even though the neighbors are close by, the foliage makes it seem secluded. The house is an old house that has lots of funky character to it, and the owner or someone close to them must be an artist, as there is personalized art through out the house. Love the coffee table and picture frames made of old ski passes and other cards! What a fun use for them! The house was a bit further from the ski area that we were using, but still within a drivable distance. The only thing I could really complain about was the door knob in the main bathroom. It was a old style knob, that pulled apart like in a movie and I got stuck in there for a little bit! Thankfully the rest of the family was home with me at the time, as they were all skiing and I don't ski. It could have been a long wait! Oh, and there is not a microwave in the kitchen. Not a big deal, but a surprise and I wasn't able to pop the popcorn for the movie we watched in the comfortable living room. Bummer! Other wise this is a nice home, in a private location overlooking the river below. Wish it had been summer weather, I would have enjoyed a BBQ on the deck! I absolutely recommend this home!

Fantastic property!
I had a wonderful, albeit brief stay this past weekend and it was perfect! Disregard the negative reviews. I have rented quite a number of properties from Vacasa on Mt. Hood over the years and this one is one of the best! I felt instantly comfortable and at home. Will definitely go back. I wish I was sitting on the upper deck right now listening to the rushing of the water...

Not the smoothest trip
The house is cute, the highlights being the deck and jetted tub. Very spacious and well-appointed. However, it was a bit spidery inside for my tastes and also we kept finding large wood ants roaming around inside. Possibly just that we came in at the beginning of the summer season and so the critters had had time to make themselves at home. The biggest problem we had was that the WiFi wasn’t working. Since there is no cell service we had to drive into town to try to get ahold of someone. The response was prompt enough but weird: since we had no way of communicating with Vacasa once we went back to the house, we just had to wait for someone to show up. He did within an hour, but had to come inside to fix it. He was a very nice man, but with Covid around it was a bit unnerving having him work in the living room. He was as quick as possible but unable to get it on. We had to spend the night with absolutely no lines of communication which caused a bit of anxiety for me since we had three kids along. He showed up again early the next morning and it seems the WiFi had been turned off seasonally so that seems like an oversight by the owners. Overall the Vacasa staff was helpful and nice but the whole ordeal took over our first night there, and since were just doing a quick two night getaway, that was a bummer.

Great Escape
Just as described, great little get-away. Home was clean, & beds were comfortable. Spacious enough for a family of 5. Pretty sparse for anything extra, for example: one washcloth in bathroom, no firewood for fireplace or Saran Wrap /storage container for leftovers.
I would go back! Home is right on a “creek” (River) and it is easy access to the mountain (18min) or Thriftway.

Less than satisfactory
When we arrived at night we were not using the correct lockbox because it was not easily visible and had to call for assistance. After we threw out the first bag of trash we found that there were no other garbage bags. The propane ran out the last night we were there. The heater stopped working and the house became very cold. We were told they would get the propane filled back up, but we never heard back and nothing got resolved by time we left the next evening. When we went to start a fire to heat the house there was only fire wood and matches to start a fire. There was no fire starting supplies or fire poker/tools to maintain the fire. There is no microwave in the house.

Pleasant Stay
Very nice view outside the balcony! Comfortable place for family or small group of friends. Was difficult to find the place at night since the house entrance is actually behind the garage, in the woods. But overall pleasant experience!

Amazing location
We loved our stay!!! Some highlights were: the view and sound of the running river! Wow!!! Was not expecting that. We also loved all the original artwork in the home. 👏🏻 We loved the air hockey table. The beds were super comfy. Some things could have made our stay a little better: A MICROWAVE would have been nice and more convenient. The downstairs area could have been a bit more inviting (seating, etc.) A few more extra blankets in closets as well as a few of the blinds repaired would be appreciated. All in all, it was great and met our needs sufficiently.

Decent house in the forest
I wouldn’t call this a cabin per se but more of a house. The setting with the exception of the muddy driveway and garage doors is surrounded by trees and perched high above a nice forest stream. There is no curb appeal. It is not highly scenic with overgrown foliage. The interior is spacious and comfortable and clean. The housekeepers do a good job. The beds are comfortable and overall very quiet. We went in late winter so the deck was still covered in deep snow. The kitchen is very functional and the grill is easy to use.
Things that need done-
- Put a garage door remote keypad so you can come in via garage door and garage access to the house keypad. With the snow you have to very carefully balance on the 12’ long snowdrift mound on the walkway to get to the entry key box and entry door. The spring snow was one step closer to a mound of ice and a bad slippery accident. When we were there it could have been a big liability.
- access to hot water is difficult. I’m not sure where the hot water comes from but it takes forever to get hot water and wastes a lot of water. I have a hard time imagining the dishwasher really cleans well as it can take 10 minutes to get fairly hot water. The shower is the same way but it does eventually get hot. I would recommend getting an instant hot water system. The water pressure is really low as well.
- The kitchen needs a microwave. They are inexpensive and there is a space above the oven that would keep it out of the way.
- Provide instructions on the TV remotes, there are 3. It took a lot of trial and error.
- Housekeeping should clean the carpeted landing in garage entry, it is filthy and I’m sure that gets tracked in.
- A clock somewhere in the house would be nice.
Overall it was nice and comfortable but I was disappointed that the day after I reserved, the rate was lowered.

Need a microwave, spices, towel racks in bathrooms, and large mirrors in bedrooms for sharing bathroom time. Great house, warm, spacious, comfy beds.
