About this house rental
Adulore Cottage is a 1944 WWII era cottage on a quiet San Mateo street that has been lovingly restored, updated and renovated while preserving historic detail and charm throughout. Modern amenities have been added for comfort and convenience including new HVAC with air conditioning. Interior decor of this home is styled mid-century transitional. There are three bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and beautiful patio with BBQ and fireplace all on one level. Easy self check-in with keyless entry. This home is a 10 minute walk to Burlingame Avenue, Burlingame Caltrain station, 10 minute drive to SFO, 9 minutes to Coyote Point beach and golf. Safeway, CVS, Starbucks and restaurants are within two blocks. This home is pedestrian friendly with a Walk Score of 73 "Very Walkable".

PETS: There are to be no pets on the premises unless previously authorized. Pet charge is to be discussed.
CHILDREN: Our house is not child proofed, but is kid friendly. Children must be supervised by an adult while at the premises. This home includes a mini crib for infants in the master bedroom.
FIREPLACE: Only 3 hour logs are allowed in the fireplace. The chimney damper must be open when the fireplace is in use. No burning candles inside the home.
FLOORING: To prevent damage to rugs and hard surface flooring, removing shoes when inside the house is recommended. However, it is not required. Please be mindful to prevent scratches and gouges to hard flooring surfaces. Please do not drag heavy items of luggage, or furniture, across hard surface flooring. All movable furniture shall remain on area rugs or have protective pads on their feet.
PLUMBING/DRAINS: Guest(s) will not abuse the plumbing. Only toilet tissue is allowed to be flushed in the toilet. Wipes or feminine products are not allowed to be flushed in the toilet. Cooking grease, bacon fat, or anything that solidifies when dumped into the sink drain is not allowed. These items must be disposed of separately in the garbage. Guest(s) will be charged for any plumbing repair work, or unclogging, due to their abuse of the plumbing.
PARKING: Please park in front of the house or in the driveway (do not block sidewalk). Please inform all members of your group staying with you.
QUIET HOURS: 10PM - 8AM - Our neighborhood is extremely quiet, please be respectful and keep your noise level down. I want you to enjoy your stay. I hope that you love this home as much as I do.
GARBAGE: Guest(s) will assist with garbage service. Thursday evenings place 3 driveway garbage receptacles at the curb in the street for pick-up Friday mornings.
HOUSEKEEPING: For bookings of more than 30 days, guests agree to use and pay for regular housekeeping, weekly or bi-monthly, as needed. The minimum regular housekeeping charge is typically $150 per visit (3 hrs approx), but may be more depending on condition at $50 per additional hour. Guests are expected to do their own personal laundry and dishes. Please do not leave clothes in the washer/dryer and/or dirty dishes/pots in the sink or on the stove on housekeeping day. Housekeeping will launder linens and towels, make beds with clean linens, and general cleaning will be performed.
GARDEN / PROPERTY MAINTENANCE: Gardener arrives bi-monthly, usually on Fridays, to mow, trim and perform general garden maintenance. Guest(s) shall not interrupt gardener when visiting the property. If the gardener is denied access to the property by guest(s), guest(s) will be billed a $75 rescheduling fee.
CHECK-OUT: When you check out, the house is to be in the same condition as when you arrived. Any damaged or missing items will be applied against your deposit. You do not need to do laundry (bed linens or towels) or clean floors when you check out. Please do not leave dirty dishes behind. Place them in the dishwasher and turn it on before leaving. Please wash all pots and pans after use and put them away. Your $150 cleaning fee paid in advance only takes care of general cleaning. Cleaning time beyond general, noted above, will be $50 per additional hour applied against your deposit.
RULE VIOLATION FEES: Unless previously authorized, this house is not to be used by more than the number of people listed on the acceptance of this rental, this includes daytime guests. If this rule is not adhered to, there is a minimum fee charged of $1,000 per day. If there is unauthorized filming, photography, or parties at the property, the minimum fee charged is $5,000 per day. There are to be no parties without prior authorization. When you accept this rental invitation you are agreeing to these rules. Additionally, guest(s) violating occupancy limits and/or creating excessive damage to the property may be asked to vacate before their stay has concluded.
EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT: When possible, I may allow early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee of $60 when scheduled in advance of check-in/check-out.
LATE CHECK OUT WITHOUT NOTICE: Guest(s) will be charged $60 per hour for each hour past scheduled check-out time. It is advisable that guest(s) check-out when scheduled.

We absolutely loved our stay at ANDULORE COTTAGE! We were visiting our adult children in the area and wanted a place to have a small BBQ and the backyard was perfect for this. We found the kitchen to be well supplied with everything we needed. We also enjoyed the location, walking to F45 for a workout and Starbucks for coffee. We also walked to the train station. Everything was clean and just as pictured. We would definitely stay here again.

The Andulore Cottage was clean and comfortable. The location is PERFECT to go into town or out to Half Moon Bay. We did it all. Coyote Pointe is fun too. The neighborhood is quiet and the backyard is a nice size with a beautiful area to eat and relax. Our boys played frisbee and stayed up late talking. There is a grocery store and Starbucks nearby. I 150% reccommebd staying here!

What a terrific find the Andulore Cottage was for us! Compared to staying in a hotels in the area, having the yard for the abilty to play with our grandchildren was a gift to us. The house was immaculate and inviting and the ammnities were great with a fully equiped kitchen too. The outside gazebo and dining area with a fireplace was great for relaxing after a long day of touring and visiting the area! Many thanks to our host Robert for sharing his home with us for the week!

We were in San Francisco to visit my brother. We spent 4 days doing all the touristy things. The house was the perfect jumping off spot. It is comfortable and cute on the inside with a lot of attention to detail and quality. It was 85 degrees in SFO while we were in town and the AC was a welcome treat at the end of a long day of walking and site seeing. Burlingame restaurants are minutes away and we enjoyed dinner there on several nights. Robert is easy to communicate with and responds quickly with any questions you may have. Very much enjoyed our stay here.

We enjoyed the house very much. Everything was as described online. Communication with owner was very easy and always friendly. Above all, we were impressed by the beautiful large garden and the modern kitchen.

This property was clean, well taken care of and very comfortable for my daughter and I. It was in a great location, close to a grocery store and several restaurants, as well as a Starbucks all within walking distance. It has a beautiful, peaceful backyard and is well landscaped in the back and front. It's physical location makes it easy to get to and from the highway within minutes. Robert, the property owner was easy to contact and was quick to reply to questions that we had.

My family and I stayed and Robert’s beautiful home while in town for a wedding and honestly don’t have a single negative thing to say about it. It is comfortable, well equipped, on a lovely and quiet street, has an extremely convenient grocery store, and is a quick drive to two small city centers with list of restaurant options. But the shining star of this rental is the backyard. It is absolutely glorious. Traveling with a two year old having the comfort of a completely fenced in yard for her to romp around in was amazing. Eating breakfast out there in the morning, and relaxing out there with family at night was truly the icing on the cake of our trip. Robert went above and beyond with being available/communicative when I had questions and was so helpful during our stay. I honestly would recommend this house 100% to anyone looking to stay in the area and plan to do so in the future myself!

Stayed here with family and it was lovely!! Very easy check in, extremely clean and comfortable. The backyard space is amazing and location is great. We walked from the house to downtown San Mateo for dinner. It was perfect for what we were looking for!
It is close to the train tracks so if you’re a light sleeper recommend bringing ear plugs. :) Would stay here again!

We had a most enjoyable stay at Andulore Cottage, it was everything we could have asked for! The location was perfect for us as we did not hire a car and found travelling on the Caltrain to San Francisco was no issue as Burlingame Station was within walking distance and trains were very frequent. Similarly the Safeway supermarket was only 3 mins walk away. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Would definitely consider staying here again!!

We were in search of a clean, safe home that would fit our large family. WOW! Did this home meet everything! We were in the area for a major surgery, so we were under a huge amount of stress. From the moment we pulled up, to the moment we drove away was absolutely perfect! Because this home was so well equipped & cared for we actually were able to just enjoy our time without worry! Our family of 5 - myself, spouse and three teens, were very comfortable here. There was plenty of room for all of to sleep and enjoy our meals. The backyard was really nice though we did not utilize the grill we did enjoy spending some time on the back patio. Location was better than expected but as owner noted it was within walking distance to a lot. We walked to a great local restaurant, as well as the local grocery store. We are costco members and this was just 10 minutes away so we stocked up on our favorite breakfast items. The in house washer and dryer were great to have, as it was important to us to bring as little as possible. Again proximity to different areas of the bay was great - about 1 hour to San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Cruz. Would happily stay here again if we are fortunate enough to go west again!

Beautiful backyard and a wonderful charming cottage. Host was very flexible in letting us extend our stay when our plans changed as well as letting us in early.

The house is exactly as the listing describes. There were no surprises. Backyard is really beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside. The fence and trees keep the heavy breezes away. Checkout does not require much, just lock doors and turn off HVAC. But the most important thing we want to share is that we felt very safe here. It is in a good section of the city!

This household is fine. The front door lock is very strange and having to enter in and out through the back is not convenient. The driveway is very narrow. And there were no tissues in the house. And the hair dryer looks like it is for a doll. The bathroom is very tarnished and could be updated for a nicer experience since there is only one bathroom. And the number of household rules feels silly for a rental. Take your shoes off being the funniest, especially when you have to walk through the house to let anyone in the front door since you can’t enter or exit from the front. It’s fine, but we wouldn’t pay this amount to stay there again.

Had a great stay at Robert's Andulore Cottage while working in the area. The house was clean, comfortable and located very centrally. The weather was pretty awful and we enjoyed the fireplaces both inside and in the lanai. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed.
The lanai was our personal highlight and very unique for a rental. Robert had a small Christmas tree set up there by the outdoor fireplace that added a special touch to the space since we had to break our Christmas décor down early to attend this business trip. We even thought we may have needed to extend our stay late in the afternoon after we checked out and Robert was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you so much Robert!

This house was a perfect home base for us for 5 days as we explored San Francisco and the Bay Area. The owner is very communicative and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is very well equipped and I loved the labels on all of the light switches and the helpful binder with recommendations. The beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of storage space which is really nice for a family of four with 2 kids and a lot of stuff! I did several loads of laundry and the washer and dryer were great. Really no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. It was beautifully designed, clean and had everything we needed. The backyard patio was a great place to eat our takeout meals. The house is in a lovely neighborhood but still close enough for us to easily visit San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Overall a great place to stay!

2nd visit
This is our second stay at Andulore Cottage. We love the proximity to SF, SJ and Monterey, not to mention our extended family is just a few blocks away.
If you have kids, Coyote point and it's amazing playground(s), trails and museum are an added bonus. Our original stay in Andulore Cottage was March 2021, right smack dab during the height of COVID19 Pandemic and we loved having the backyard area to be able to get together with family outdoors so much that we were thrilled to book the same listing to spend time outdoors with family again.
Would highly recommend this home to those needing a comfortable place to stay in the bay area while traveling, There's tons of amazing food options for takeout or dining out in both downtown San Mateo and Burlingame, in addition to neighboring cities.

San Mateo getaway
What a perfect home for visiting the area! The cottage was immaculate and fully updated. Very easy kitchen and comfy bed. Best of all was the large, private and beautiful back yard! We could walk to everything! Thank you, Robert!

Cute little house, close to the city
This is a cute little house. It is not large, but big enough for what we needed since most of our time was spent in SF or surrounding areas. Great yard with nice covered area, we were lucky to have 76 degrees one day and ate outside in the covered patio which was great.

Comfortable property close to most tourist spots
Beautiful, warm and comfortable property at San Mateo, with all amenities. We enjoyed our stay with family at this cottage, and it's close to most must visit tourist spots at San Francisco. Robert was a great host, and communication was easy with on-time responses.
Definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable getaway with family at SFO.

Beautiful Cottage
My friends and I loved the cottage. It was exactly as pictured and SUPER CLEAN!!! We found a restaurant around the corner that served the best cocktails. We loved the area and proximity to things to do, we had a great trip!!
