Super Lage, extrem ruhig. Tauchbecken für jedes Appartement. Ausstattung der Zimmer. Super Bar mit aufmerksamen Barkeepern!
Abendessen in Buffetform, Straße zum Hotel vom Gate könnte komfortabler sein

Woow, à beautiful very modern Lodge in the desert.
A perfect bungalow, very modern and luxurious.
The breakfast and Dinner buffet was okay, but for a 5* Lodge somewhat disappointing. The staff was not really friendly like we experienced it at other Lodge. Maybe a touch too modern in the middle of the desert?
However, the sundowner drive was very interesting and we had a very good guide who explained everything about the nature and the region.

What a Beautiful place !! Exceeded our expectations! Loved everything! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The dune drive , e-bikes , hikes and Scorpion walk was excellent!! Will always remember this beautiful “ Pink” Lodge in the Desert… strongly recommended!!

The location was beautiful and the rooms were luxurious (air conditioner, marble bathroom, comfortable bed, private pool, etc). The view to the pink sand dunes was mesmerizing...
The service was absolutely terrible. It's shocking that such an expensive hotel has such poor service. The staff seemed completely untrained. One night, I asked one of the waiters which drink she would recommend to go with the food we were having, and she simply answered "maybe wine?". Yes, maybe wine. But which one? Which wines do you have and which ones go well with the food you are serving? I didn't ask these questions because I knew I would be waisting my time. After dinner, we went to the bar to have a few drinks. The lady at the bar disappeared after serving us one drink and we weren't able to order more (this happened in more than one occasion). We felt like we were an inconvenience and that they had better things to do. It was quite upsetting to be honest. When you save an entire year to go on a special vacation and then you are treated as a nuisance.
One of the guided tours that we did to Sossuvlei was also an absolute nightmare! It was supposed to be a 10 hour guided tour but the guide was not a guide, he was really just a driver. Completely untrained as well. He barely spoke English and barely spoke at all. We didn't learn one thing about the trees, plants, animals, nothing. He drove us to Deadvlei, gave us zero instructions on where we should go, what time we should meet and where. He just told us to walk straight into the desert. We did that but then it started getting very hot so we walked back to where we were dropped off. The guide was nowhere to be be seen. He left us in the scorching sun for three hours without water and food. If we had a medical condition this could have been very dangerous... I was so angry when he finally reappeared that I wasn't even able to speak.
Honestly I don't blame the guide or the hotel staff. It is the 100% the responsibility of the management of this hotel. Even though the hotel itself was nice, we will most likely never go back because of the terrible service.

The architecture is innovative and interior design beautifully done. The bedrooms are spacious and the plunge pool very welcome. The decor in reception, bar and restaurant area, though smart, is a bit over-the-top.
The staff, except the manager Frank, were not sufficiently trained and presented an absence of even the basics. This was especially so at breakfast and dinner time. The breakfast was not of an acceptable standard, the cheeses and cold meats presented were not fresh nor even suitable for a hotel of the quality sought for. Dinner was even worse, apart from the highly excessive price, (compared to the lodges in the greater vicinity) the courses presented were either over-cooked, cold and not properly presented. As an example, the base of the pizza was so soft the whole contraption fell apart upon serving. All in all, I would say there was a lack of preparation and oversight by a suitable restaurant manager. We will avoid this hotel in future, unless the mentioned deficiencies are remedied. We have resided in a number of lodges in the area whose standard, especially relating to cuisine are far superior and realistically priced.

Ample attention to detail, comfort and service. Very good wifi, which is not usual for the area.
I didn't like the 10km drive after the gate.

the location, rooms, food& staff are very friendly their hospitality it is so heartwarming
the fact that they don’t have transport from Walvis bay cause I nearly cancelled my booking because I didn’t have transport I had to spend lot of money that I didn’t budget for just to get there I think it should be communicated when we do booking that there are no public transport & emphasise the issue of booking transport & I was disappointed by the agent of bookings.com surely she knew that we are not from Namibia so she didn’t assist us in terms of getting transport

The rooms are beautiful and modern. The family room has lots of space with two large bedrooms. The food was good.
Recovering from covid, the hotel was not very full, and clearly the staff appeared less enthused. The welcome was not very good (no drinks in the 'welcome fridge', no welcome drink on arrival)- we had to almost beg for information, and we weren't suggested any activities or extras to book. The wifi never worked the whole time, and payment terminal wasn't working at checkout either. The staff made me feel like it was my problem now to figure out how to pay them. Location is nothing spectacular by Namibian standards. Charging European equivalent prices I expected the service to be much better than it was.

Amazing facilities, amazing staff! we were blown away by the location and beauty of this place! would definitely recommend it!
I was a bit disturbed by the grasshoppers in the dining area. I had a mini panic attack with them flying around me while I was trying to eat. I would recommend putting a screen on the doors to keep them from entering the dining hall.

Location, Food and Drinks, Sundowner Drive
I know that there was a Cricket Plague (a plague is undoubtedly beyond the hotels power), but there shouldn’t be Crickets in the dining area during breakfast, lunch and dinner and all over the rooms balcony.
The pool should be cleaned as well to get rid of all the sand in there.

Beautifully decorated with a lot of cute little quirks. The bar is original and quite whimsical. Stunning location with gorgeous views of the dunes. Comfortable beds and luxury rooms that don’t leave much to be desired. The Namibian culture was well incorporated with the decor and in the quant little gift shop.
Good quality buffet serving delicious and fresh food.
Day trips to the surrounds are well organised and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
It’s just a little too over the top. A venue that is better suited for a busy city. The bright and busy decor, although beautiful, is just not quite suited to the tranquility of the desert and all its little nuances. With the loud aircons and music from the restaurant, one is deaf to the subtle night sounds of the desert and its beautiful birds during the day. It’s too “resort-y”.
