The studio is completely self-contained and very light and comfortable. And very near the A12 (but in a secluded quiet spot) so that you can get around easily to all the places you want to visit in Suffolk. I would definitely go back.
Caroline was a friendly and fabulous host and nothing was too much trouble.
The cooking facilities were a bit limited (no oven) if you want to cook properly but it was fairly easy to manage.

The studio is a nice big space, very clean and comfortable. It is set in the grounds of the Old Vicarage which are extensive and an oasis of calm. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the warm evenings. We were made very welcome.
The kitchen facilities are fairly basic but adequate, in that all the essentials are there, for a short stay or if you intend to eat out.

Very quiet for relaxing break. Very central to Aldeburgh and Southwold. Bus stop near property into Aldeburgh. Nice little secret garden behind studio. Not enclosed but dogs didn’t stray far. Had everything we needed for short break.

Good location
It was freezing cold, one electric radiator for the whole place wasn’t enough. Very grubby as well. The kettle was so scaled up we couldn’t use it. We were also surprised that there was no oven for a self catering property. Floors grubby and crockery old and chipped. We actually left to drive home as it was too cold and grubby to stay over night.

This was self catered. The key was left for using the door. We did not meet anyone at the property during our stay.
The outside seating space could easily be improved.
We found the property rather corridor like. It was nicely furnished but looking directly from kitchen through the living space to the bedroom was not a cosy feel.
We would have welcomed a bit more food preparation space.

The property was in need of refurbishment and a thorough clean. We had decided not to stay there at all and go home but the local agent found us an alternative nearby from the next day, so we spent one night there and moved on. We shared photos of the property with the agent so the owner could see our areas of concern.
The local agent - Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages - were marvellous. Superb customer service, friendly and professional.

The host, Caroline, could not have been more welcoming or hospitable. The property is ideally located in Suffolk to access many of Suffolk’s charming attractions yet it’s situation is peaceful and beautiful situated as it is, in the grounds of the owners charming old vicarage. I would highly recommend it and fully intend to revisit.

Great to have access to the tennis court. God, quiet location with access to cycle routes
Bathroom could be upgraded. Rug in lounge grubby. Not much space for cooking.

Location was fine for us.
There was a microwave and hotplate. No cooker. I would have liked to know that in advance.

Quiet location
The accommodation looks cheerful at first glance, but is actually rather tired. None of the blinds at the windows close properly and the shower tray has black mould. From the style, it was renovated quite some time ago and is need of an update. £190 for one night was very expensive for the quality of the accommodation. Parking is a bit awkward due to a washing line strung across the area you park in.

This property was so lovely, just what I wanted. I had everything I needed. The bed was so comfortable, everything was very clean. It is set in beautiful grounds. I am planning my next return and can’t wait.
