I like that I was upgraded to a 6 berth caravan for my stay. Thank you, it was an unexpected surprise, that made my stay even better. See you again soon. 😊

The location was great.
The pods were great, good size, clean and lovely view. Parking conveniently close.
The indoor swimming pool was fun.
The service at the restaurant was incredibly slow, 1 hour and 30min wait for our food!!!
The pod didn't have a kettle so requested for one at 9am didn't get it until later in the afternoon, wish I had known and I would have brought our own.
Sadly the outdoor swimming pool was shut.

Quiet area in a pod, clean well maintained grounds, shower toilets were clean. Our 9 year old loved it.
Queuing to book the pool on the day.
Take fitted sheets to put over bedding as plastic covers move the provided flat sheets about.

Location was good.
Toilet & Shower block could be much cleaner as they are used by large number of people.

The pods were basic but clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The park itself seemed in good condition. We had dinner outside the clubhouse which was pretty good and considering they were very busy the wait was not too bad.
My only real complaint was that they seem understaffed. The staff behind the bar were working their socks off and very efficient but there were never enough of them. There was always a fair wait to get served. And there was always plenty of debris on all of the tables. I don't feel it was the staffs fault as they did not seem to stop, there just needs to be another or maybe two more members of bar staff. Things are clearly better in the kitchen as the wait for food at their busiest time in the evening wasn't too bad at all.

Position was great, secure, kids loved the pod
THE BED

We liked the view and it was prefect !
It was far to uncomfortable. Beds very hard . The toilet step far to steep , showers weren’t great only one sort of working with big temperature drop. No soap in toilet to wash hands , shortages of toilet roll, Slippery bridge needs chicken wire to be fitted for better grip . Very noisy party in one of the pods on our first night when meant very little sleep !

The pods were cute, there was a nice view on a fishing lake. The service staff is very welcoming and supportive.
This seems to be all about maximising profit: the sheets are not fitted and fall off, every little activity or services cost extra, even wifi (in 2023!) and mini golf. Towels are also not included. The bathroom facilities are below standard and often run low on toilet paper and soap. The restaurant is loud with huge screens that run ads during breakfast. The pods lack basic ideas to make the stay more pleasant, eg a kettle (which we asked for and received at extra cost). And worst of all: this is not out in nature or on a low-key camping ground but in the middle of hundreds of vacation trailer homes, not the sight we expected from the images on booking.

Good location and reasonably priced
The sheets kept slipping off our beds. The swimming pool shower floor was green, toilets and shower block ok could do with some tlc

Pods were lovely and cosy
The fact that there are only 2 toilet cubicles shared with over 20 cabins!!. Not to mention its a long walk to the toilets which is rather not ideal especially when using the toilet at night. This needs to get rectified by building more toilets.
Staff at the reception only serve you when they feel like it. Had to wait a long time to get served.

The pods were nice and clean, situated by the lake. There is electric heating inside, so not problems if cold outside . Toilets and showers 2 mins walking from the pods, but very nice and clean.
Nice little pool in the park-one hour slots available.
The surroundings are kept nice and clean.

I loved the serenity of location, and the added bonus was the linen included in the price. The pod was clean and fair in size. The staff was very polite and professional.
We struggle with flat sheets on the beds. The mattresses had waterproof covers, which made the sheet very slippery and uncomfortable to sleep.

The pod and its location was lovely by the side of the lake
The restaurant and arcade was utterly disappointing as most of the arcade machines wasn't working and was really messy in there. over the two days we stayed and the food from the restaurant was probably some of the worst iv ever had and the kids pasta bake came out and was just penne pasta with gratted cheese on it witch was awful and my son didn't even eat it. And won't be revisting carlton meres as we been coming every year for last 3 years and its really gone down hill on the facilities

Pods were great and kitted out with basic things that were handy, mirror, bin dust pan and brush etc.
Fishing lake big bonus as 1 of my lads loves to fish... Main reason I chose here tbh.
Camping facilities were within a reasonable distance and clean.
Shame dogs aren't allowed in the club house for meal times fortunately it was dry albeit cold eating outside. I could've ordered it as a take away however by time we walked back over to camping food would've been cold.
Toilets within the club house not the best, no toilet paper in the 1st set of ladies cubicles, found another set of ladies toilets further back, toilet roll dispenser empty but new toilet rolls on the floor. Mentioned it to staff on the way out.
I get why there's a waterproof cover on the mattresses however, this oent help keeping the sheet in place and made my 2 nights really uncomfortable I'm the end slept on half the duvet

cosy and warm
it was so muddy outside could do with more of a path

The park was spotlessly clean and well tended.
The camping pods were very clean, including the area around them.
The children's entertainment was fantastic. All of the Park Stars went out of their way to make it extra special for the kids.
I was impressed with the variety of children's activities, the Easter bonnets, and Easter outfit making was so much fun for all of us.
We usually go to Butlins and couldn't get over how reasonably priced the shop, the activities and the food was.
The staff on reception and the bar were so welcoming and friendly.
It was such a good holiday, it's difficult to pick anything bad!
The camping pod had cobwebs around the windows and light fittings which looked like they'd been there a while.
The toilet facilities smelled really bad- they were very clean though so unsure why!
The sound in the entertainment venue needs to be adjusted, you can't hear what the Park Stars are saying on the microphone - especially at the Bingo.

Very good value for money for the accommodation - On a work trip so I wasn’t looking for holiday standards (just a place to sleep in reasonable comfort) and it served me very well in that regard.
Friendly staff - the front desk staff are great, very helpful and courteous and are a credit to the company.
Good facilities - For me, on a work trip, it had everything I needed. Communal showers are a bit of a squeeze but cleaned regularly.
Restaurant food is poor quality - I ordered the roast chicken and strictly no peas, but was served a bit of boiled (and very pink) road kill I think, surrounded by the peas I’d specifically asked not to have ☹️. I was very surprised the chef let it go out like that. I pushed it around my plate out of politeness, left a tip for the waiting staff, and went back to my accommodation hungry.
Access to pods - You will need a head torch (poorly lit walkway) and a pair of wellies (it’s a muddy track up the hill).

We loved the camping pod. It was just what we expected. Cosy and warm
There was nothing we didn’t like about it. We thought that they could benefit from a couple of hooks to hang up coats.

Excellent location , Pod was great value for money easy access to Southwold and Aldeburgh beaches. Pod was lovely clean and warm, and lovely location near the lake, my son enjoyed sitting out star gazing at night. Enjoyed the segway with AJ and playing pool in the clubhouse. Staff helpful and friendly.
Food and drinks in the bar are expensive and the food was disappointing £12 for a frozen heated pizza even though its advertised as freshly prepared. Bed was not the comfiest but better than a sleeping bag in a tent.

The lake
Stayed one night to use pool and have a bbq dinner/breakfast. Pool fully booked, bbqs banned on arrival. Kids gutted, food thrown, emails were ignored and denied they got them. Sent screenshot and booking.com helped.

I liked the pods. It is located next to the lake. The pod was clean with white sheets.
The toilets are good. There were clean, but one of the showers were not in use. It was quite small for the amount of pods there. 3 toilets and 2 showers.

We had such a great couple of day, the facilities, the activities and accommodation were absolutely superb thank you 🙏
Too much tomato paste on the lovely pizzas 🍕
