About this house rental

Located at the site of the Norman landings and in the heart of 1066 country, the Pevensey Bay Beach House is a newly built 4 bedroom pet friendly luxury holiday let built directly on the beach in East Sussex.

As you can see from the photos, we have worked hard to make sure that the fantastic location is reflected in the layout of the house whilst ensuring it is not your average run of the mill beach house let.

The pacious Pevensey Bay Beach House has chic and quirky features like the use of old groyne oak, Chesterfield furniture, reclaimed floor boards, concrete kitchen bench tops, Moroccan bowl sinks, antique french beds, contemporary colours and penny coin floors.

Downstairs features a large open plan living space and cooks kitchen with a double Britannia oven, Siemens fridge and dishwasher, and large center island overlooking the dining table capable of seating 10.

Deep Chesterfield sofas and chairs, and high spec sound system [including cable TV, Sonos, WiFi and Smart TV] occupy a large portion of this area all of which opens onto an expansive terrace through massive bifold doors leading to a large terrace and direct access to the beach.

The balance of the downstairs space is made up of two bedrooms - one with a beautiful French queen bed, and the other with a full sized bunk bed - together with a large shower room and utility area.

The second floor has two very large bedrooms and bathroom with bath and shower. The spectacular beach side bedroom has a king sized cast iron bed and opens via french doors on to terrace overlooking the beach with views from Eastbourne and the South Downs National Park around to Hastings and all in between.

The second upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed as well as a double bunk bed [ideal for either two, mixed groups, or as child or teenage den] with views over the countryside towards Hertsmonceux.

The very comfortable beds feature down filled mattress toppers, Egyptian cotton bed linen and feather duvets and pillows. Bathroom towels are provided.

The owners have a large Labrador who loves the sea so have made sure access to a warm outside dog shower is available for those chilly days, the entrance has an area to towel pets down and the wooden floors are ideal for those residual wet feet. The property is fenced should the lure of the sea prove too much for our four legged friends – or equally adventurous two legged rascals!

We stayed at the beach house for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. The location right on the beach is amazing. It was great to be able to sit outside and watch the sea, and some of our party enjoyed a swim too! The kitchen is well stocked with equipment so we could cook breakfast and we had a take away one night. The goodies left for us were appreciated. The house is very comfortable and there was room for all of us (6 adults, 2 children and a dog). We had a great stay!

Weve stayed at the beach house 4 times as 3 generations of family and a couple of nights for just the 2 of us, whchj ought to say it all. Perfect for location as the children have easy acess and convenient for local shops, supermarkets and entertainment. Well equipped and spacious enough to cope with the 8 of us. Jane is good host and easy to contact The Massilia bay restaurant just along the beach is also oustanding if you want to eat out. Overall a highly recommended holiday venue in or out of season.

Our stay at the Beach House was perfect……from the location to all the little extras and finer details to make it feel like home from home. We were a party of 9 celebrating a friends 50th birthday, but the house felt spacious with plenty of outdoor space & furniture for us all to enjoy the fabulous weather we had. The hot tub was an added bonus as were the views from the master bedroom. We’ll definitely be back!

A lovely relaxing weekend by the sea. We love the Beach House in Pevensey Bay; this was the second time we have stayed and just as perfect as the first time. The house is clean, lovely comfy beds and well designed through out. Kitchen is well equipped for relaxed cooking, whilst chatting to friends enjoying a drink in the comfy sofa and chairs. Oh and the hot tub! fantastic, even on a cold day in March. Can only highly recommend this place and the lovely host Jane who responds quickly and efficiently to any queries.

Excellent property, with great access straight on to the beach. It suited all 3 generations of our family and for our dog too! Lots of quirky features, well equipped and comfortable beds. Stayed here for several years now, which says it all really. It works wonderfully for the whole family - 18 months to 71 yrs. The hot tub is an asset for those old enough. Fabulous house - wonderful to step straight out onto the beach. Beautiful views. Lovely clean house. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day. One suggestion: it would be good to mention the number of steps to get into the house.

We loved everything about it! We particularly enjoyed the open plan downstairs space which was great for the whole family to hang out in. Everything has been thought through with everything you need and lots of lovely touches around the house to make it feel like a home from home. The views are just stunning. Perfect! A great place to stay and relax. The house is fantastic, a lot of thoughts and high quality seems to be the thread through the whole house. Everyone slept really well in the comfy beds and the view of the sunrise in the morning is bliss! We spent a great long weekend lounging in the sofas, watching the sea, chatting whilst cooking in the well equipped kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub! Jane responded quickly to any questions we had on arrival and followed up to make sure we were well looked after. Can only highly recommend this lovely beach house.

We stayed in this fabulous beach house for 5 nights over the really cold weekend. The house was lovely and cozy and we even enjoyed the hot tub in the freezing weather. The steps to the house were treacherous in the ice buti am sure this is a very rare occupancy. We loved walking on the beach and visited the castle. We found the ocalpubsand community very friendly and will certainly come back

8 friends, 4 couples - aged 55-65, 2 dogs - best weekend ever! Totally magical, even two of us sleeping in the bunks worked out fine. Lots more space if also had children with us! So fantastically well equipped. View to die for never want to stop looking at it! Jacuzzi additional and wonderful bonus!

Well this is our third stay at the Pevensey Bay Beach House, which says it all really. Taken our 3 adult daughters, son in law and grandchildren there. Perfect spot for small children, with beach and plenty of other child friendly attractions. Great for adults too with well equipped kitchen, spacious living room and very comfortable beds. plus hot tub. Close to Pub, Takeouts, local stores and also supermarkets 10 minutes drive. Highly Recommended

So after two years of postponing due to covid we eventually got to spend Easter at Pevensey Bay. a family group of seven adults and two children. We found the location right on the beach and a stones throw from Eastbourne to be a perfect location to explore the coast and surrounding areas. We found the house to be very accommodating. A couple of small points we would of liked a blind upstairs at the balcony doors in the master bedroom as the morning light did wake us up and as previous reviews have mentioned the TV was very complicated to work even with written instructions in the manual!. However all in all a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.

Wonderful stylish property set right on the beach

This is our second visit to The Beach House and this time I brought friends along to enjoy it too. Amazing views from the house to the sea, which is so close. We had some bracing walks and we all particularly enjoyed coffee in the morning on the waters edge watching the waves. We had a mini storm which added to the drama and coziness of the house, but we also had autumn sun and beautiful sunsets. A very special place to relax and unwind.

I arranged this for the Wife's 50th for immediate family to spend the weekend 8 Adults in total sleeping and 10 friends visited on her Birthday. We had a fantastic time the property was perfect. We watch the sunrise on the beach, had a swim in the sea and then warmed up in the hot tub. We had lovely sunsets every evening and one night had a little fire on the beach and toasted marshmallows. We had a truly positive and memorable experience.
