The lady running the accommodation was extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast was excellent and the location suited where I was visiting.
The only tiny thing that could be improved was the length of the beds. I am 6ft 1 and had to sleep diagonally with my feet off the bed, because it had high head and foot boards.

My family and I loved every aspect of out stay at Ty Mynydd Lodge.
Each of the rooms were lovely and it was like being at home. And in addition, having our very own lounge to use was great.
We only opted for breakfast but it was just as good, if not better, than a hotel.
Nothing and my family agree that all was lovely.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. Very comfy place.
Eating in the lounge downstairs with the table being in the middle and the sofas far out. The only small thing I could say about the place nothing else.
4.8
The room was comfortable and very well-appointed. The guest lounge was a cosy place to read. The breakfast room and the breakfast were great.

This is a beautiful house with a lot of character, L. is very hospitable, the bed very comfortable. I was recommended a local eatery, which she recommended. The lounge is comfortable with a log fire and very tastefully decorated to a high standard. I will visit again and look forward to spending time there either on business or a social occasion! Highly recommend!
Having to leave!

Nothing to dislike.

Good location for Cardiff Centre. Breakfast was plentiful. The host was very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
The bathroom was cramped. We could not open a window, there was some kind of secondary glazing that covered the whole area, it’s just nice to be able to pop a window open. Not keen on the bedding.

Breakfast was excellent. Convenient location for getting the train into central Cardiff on match day.
Bedroom was a little cramped, while the en-suite bathroom was very large.

Lovely welcome from the host, warm and friendly and not intrusive. The fresh daffodils in the room was a nice touch and a real log fire in a shared area that we could have sat by if we had wanted to. Amazing breakfast, including gluten-free options. Very pleasant stay overall (except too hot in room). I would definitely stay again but in a different room next time
The room unfortunately was far too hot for us, even in winter and the thermonstat on the heater, whilst it moved did not reduce/turn off the heat. I should have contacted the host but left it too late in the evening and didn't want to disturb them. It was a fairly small room with twin beds with mine right against the heater and the window wouldn't open for some fresh air. Bathroom was small but it was the budget room so perhaps to be expected.

Ty Mynydd Lodge was a lovely property. The bedroom though not large was cosy & adequate for a nights stay. The room was nicely decorated & the host had left some little extras like welsh cakes & bottles of water. There were also two dressing gowns available for our use. There was a larger than average bathroom, which was very nice with a shower over a corner bath & plenty of units.
The host was a lovely lady, who was very helpful.
The breakfast was excellent & the service very good.
I would certainly stay there again.
I did find the bed & pillows firmer than I would like, but that is a personal choice. The other little niggle was that there was no where to hang your clothes. Maybe a couple of coat hangers that could be hung on the coat hooks. There were plenty of drawers for someone who was staying longer.

The breakfast provided was gluten free as requested.
The host were attentive to our needs and very friendly.
Opening windows or full aircon.

What a delightful place, lovely host, comfortable rooms, everything you need and a very good continental breakfast. Lounge had a wood burner that was always lit and was cosy to sit in the evenings. Lovely historical building in a good location.

Parking on site, fantastic log fire when we arrived. Lisa the host very friendly and helped guide us to the nearest train station, 10 minute walk, and then 12 minutes on the train into central Cardiff
Room perfect size, and had just what we needed, including smart Tv
Scrambled egg for breakfast was amazing, and homemade jam as well, with lots of other choices available as well
Perfect location for travelling into Cardiff on public transport
