An amazing experience with the most majestic views of Mt Fuji
Nothing except maybe earlier check in and later checkout times..

Service was extremely thoughtful! The server who checked us in escorted us to our room, and even tidied our shoes! At keiseki dinner and breakfast, as a family with kids, the service was very polished, and the server really could anticipate our needs and acted proactively, to the point of surprising us! The meals were elaborate and of extremely high quality. Both the public onsen and the private in-room onsen were excellent. And of course, the view of Mount Fuji was super impressive! All Fufu hotels are designed with maximum customer privacy in mind. While the hotel is not right next to the coast of Lake Kawaguchiko but is instead "hidden" in a valley, the feeling of being inside a forest yet with Mount Fuji still highly visible, the picture is really surprisingly next level! A perfect, perfect stay overall!

Fufu Kawaguchiko is simply outstanding! The staff are excellent, amiable and extremely helpful. The cuisine is topnotch; we believe Chef IDE should receive at least 2 Michelin stars! Having a private outdoor onsen was the cherry on top—-such a wonderful place!

Nice food and restaurant staff is well trained with good service.
The room is amazing with a outdoor hot spring bath and Fuji view. The room is clean with no insects even though the hotel is located in a mountain.
No shuttle bus is provided. Taxi from hotel to the nearest station costs around ¥3500. If you choose to take a bus, prepare for a 10 mins walk on a slope.

The Food, and service at the restaurant, the room is very comfortable, and the onsen is nice
there's no little plate and fork in the room for goodies and snacks

One of the nicest hotels as ever stayed at. Incredible location and unforgettable view of Mt Fuji, the room was absolutely amazing, with our private sauna and private onsen. We wished we would have stayed one more day at least. Get the room with the private onsen, it’s worth it!
They should offer a Continental breakfast maybe. For Western guests the Japanese breakfast with the set menu might be a bit hard. They didn’t help us find activities the day after and just told us theirs were sold out.

beautiful spacious suites overlooking lake kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji.
most staff members cannot speak basic English. would like to have some western items for breakfast.

lovely setup and spacious room, meals are great
wish there are some vending machines for some mid night snacks

great location and views

Thé design, thé attention to detail of the furnishing, the cleanliness, the restaurant, the restaurant staff.
The front desk staff basically ignore you unless you force them to speak to you. the front desk staff make you wait for a long time unnecessarily to check in and out, and will seemingly have 8 staff all in the same area of the desk doing admin tasks instead of supporting the guests in front of them.

I think this may be my favourite hotel. The hotel & grounds are beautiful, the view is stunning, and the in-room private onsen was so amazing. Plus all the little touches made the experience so memorable - (mostly) refillable complimentary mini bar which had bottled beer, juice, and snacks, the scented volcanic rock and volcanic rock filtered water, the in-room fire that the staff can set up for you, and the filter coffee equipment, pajamas, and loungewear that is available! There is also complimentary free flow tiny canned beer, juice, and milk coffee from the public onsen, outdoor public fireplace that the staff can set up for you in the evenings, and the wi-fi is great. As a group of 7, we were provided the restaurant private room for every meal, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Truly had a magical experience at Fufu.
The only issue I had was that the staff coordination was not fantastic (a few slip ups on dietary restrictions). But overall, they restaurant staff were really nice and tried their best to communicate with us in English. Most of the staff have limited English skills, but they try.

Nice view from the room.
4.8
Room, dinner, onsen-both public and private, position, views from everywhere, electric bikes
Breakfast was a bit disappointing-both Japanese (which is probably just personal taste) and western style
4.8
Everything was exceptional. From the moment you check-in, a personalised guide shows you around the hotel and your room. If you are having dinner, they also make sure to check if you are ok with some of the food items. Extremely good service all around and well, the room with a perfect view of fuji is fantastic too.

Great Service, Great Facilities, Great Food and Great View!
Everything was close to perfect!

The view was amazing and the property itself is very good. the staff are extremely nice and try very hard to make your trip nice
a couple of things didn’t go quite right for us there. we asked for a bottle of wine to be brought to the room after dinner but it was never brought and also asked for the fire in the room to be lit this was forgotten to before we rang again
the staff are really really lovely but don’t have much English, can be difficult to organize anything. (it’s not lost on me that I was in Japan)
we didn’t really enjoy the food during our stay and thought it was style over substance. it might be to other guests liking though

stunning view, hospitable staff, exceptionally comfortable room, quiet location
the toilet lights black out too quickly; lack of choice of western breakfast

This was a splurge as part of our revenge travel! But it was worth every pretty penny. Stayed there a total of 3 nights (like I mentioned, a splurge) and it was gloriously rejuvenating for our bodies and minds from the moment we stepped in. Check in was a breeze with a delightful welcome drink and a mini tour of the hotel by Tamura-san, the hotel's very humble GM (we didn't realise till later) It's as splendid as pictured on their website. We booked the Superior Suite with Mountain and Lake View (top floor) which was MASSIVE! As it was a twin bed suite, I had asked for the beds to be joined together and it ended up being a huge Hollywood twin! We had our own onsen tub which was a luxurious convenience which was much needed and well utilised during our stay. We rented electric bikes for a jaunt around town and the breakfasts and dinners were overly generous and delicious. And of course, we were blessed with a magnificent view of Fuji-san (sans its signature snow-capped peak as it was early in the season) from our 2nd day of stay.
The service was TOP CLASS despite the staff being generally younger and while some international guests may want more English speaking staff, we felt that it added to the charm of our experience there. Our thanks and appreciation to Tamura-san whom we had many wonderful chats and his team with special mention to Yuzuki-san, Miyuki-san and Yuna-san for their wonderful service. If you need a real treat to escape the hustle and bustle of life and renew yourself, this is the place!
Leaving!

The location is absolutely fascinating. To wake up and see Fuji smiling at you through the window or to enjoy the view while soaking in the hot bath is amazing experience. The staff was very kind, carrying and helpful anticipating all my needs. Food was great and abundant. I had amazing time and just after a weekend I left feeling completely refreshed as if i had spent a whole week there.
The food at dinner and breakfast was so abundant that i could never finish my servings. I find it such a pity to waste so much food.

The views and the food. All really amazing.
All good
