The property was very beautiful and serene. It was a bit of a trek to get to from Odawara station but still beautiful. The property was clean and spacious. Very relaxing. The private onsen was also fantastic. The room itself was also very spacious.
A little difficult to get to but we did appreciate the shuttle car (even though it was a short drive) from the train station. We had ordered the halfboard option when we booked (the in room traditional dinner) but when we arrived, they didn’t have it noted on their system. We only booked one night there for that experience and it was a shame that we didn’t get it. It was only later in the evening when they realized that we should have had that dinner (after we ended up buying dinner ourselves). While they were apologetic and offered a small refund, the experience is really what we wanted and we were a bit disappointed that it didn’t happen.

Had a private onsen with the room which was very luxurious and worth spending the money on. The room itself was big and beds were fairly comfortable. The breakfast was good, made up of both Japanese and continental style buffet.
Rooms were very warm and did not feel particularly friendly, especially upon checkin. Is located at the top of a very steep hill and was not informed of the shuttle service before arriving. Would recommend you do not walk from Gora station to the hotel, especially if you have luggage.

One of our best stays in Japan. Loved the staff, the ambiance, and our own private onsen. The room was quite spacious and the Tatami area was also a nice addition to relax in. Definitely recommended. Dinner course meal and breakfast were also divine. Will stay for longer next time.
It's a bit far from everything so only recommending to those who would appreciate the onsens more and relaxing. Altho, taxi fare to the hotel isn't dear. They also offer a complimentary pick up/drop off from/to Gora station.

The private open air bath was amazing. The Kaiseki dinner was good, but felt like we wanted more after 6 courses. The buffet breakfast was amazing though, there were so many great choices and honestly the best breakfast we’ve had in Japan. The staff were very helpful. There is a private shuttle to Gora station starting from 9.30 (earliest) which was handy but not early enough if you plan to catch the 10am Hikari shinkansen from Odawara to Kyoto/Osaka.
The bathroom is probably not as clean as we’d like. The futon mattress had some stains.

Very relaxing, had free shuttle to and from Gora station
Onsen was small for 2 people. Breakfast buffet was lackluster and the price we paid didn’t even include dinner

Lovely cosy room, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor hot spring bath, tasty breakfast buffet (Japanese and western style), bus service to the nearest station.
We very much enjoyed our stay- Thank you!

The room was clean and spacious. The kids love the onsen in our room; we enjoyed the privacy of having the onsen inside our room than their onsen within their premises. Staff are friendly. Like their idea having a shoes lockers at the entrance of their hotel; we only wear our socks around the hotel's premise. They have free shuttle bus at 930am, 1030am and 11am in the morning and 2pm - 6pm to Gora Station. There is also a bus stop for the Hakone Tozan Bus S within walking distance to Gora but its last bus ends pretty early.
Nothing at all. We had a wonderful stay.

Right when I stepped into the lobby I was greeted right away by the staff. The front desk spoke English which was helpful and they were really informative in describing me the facilities and what to expect during my stay. Unfortunately during my stay, my partner was sick so we could not make it to the dining room for dinner. However, the staff were accommodating and arranged alternatives for our meal to be had. We had a private onsen in our suite which was great. I would definitely recommend staying here if you looking for a ryokan to stay.

Beautiful
My own onsen!

There was a typhoon when we got there. It was a good place to stay. Breakfast buffet has a lot of choices, having our own onsen in the room was the top reason why we booked and it did not disappoint. Kids loved it.
A little indoor activities like a game room maybe for the kids and a wider selection of food or snacks.

In room soaking tub made up for the flaws. Staff was wonderful.
Room was worn wasn’t the cleanest for the price.

beautifully appointed hotel, in relatively remote part of Gora district. close to cable car. note that it is a steep twenty minute walk to station, and we found it challenging to identify open restaurants in the evening. we chose not to eat at the hotel- set menu looked superb, but not appropriate for our kids. we had room with private onsen, which was lovely. breakfast was superb, with lovely selection of western style and superb Japanese spread of buffet items. charming and helpful staff.

Overall, nice hotel. The only thing was that the shuttle service was not really available during my stay there, and that is one of the reasons I booked at this location as opposed to other locations. We were told to call the hotel for pick up from Gora station, but when we called, the receptionist told us to call back, and when we called back, we were told that they were not sure when shuttle will be available to come get us. We have to take the taxi. This was very different from our stays from years ago, unfortunately.

The room was very spacious. Even if we were a party of four, the room space would still be enough. The (public) onsen was a good experience, especially for a first-timer.
Just a suggestion: A better, well-lit sign at the entrance, as well as a direction/arrow signage at the nearest cable train station.

We liked the private onsen in our room. The breakfast was very good and had lots to choose from. Refreshments were available in the lobby.
The beds were comfortable.
No washing machine facilities. There was some mould in the shower and was dusty under the beds.

We booked the room that comes with hot both . Big and spacious. Checked in was fast , speak well in English. We walked around the hotel with socks only - great experience - Shoes were l kept in lobby locker - very clean - very comfortable room
There are a few restaurants near by .
I booked my breakfast for all my three rooms but did not realize that I will need 4 hours to get to Narita airport. I tried to ask if I can get refund or use it for my dinner but they are not flexible. I have to forego since I need to check out at 530am to catch my flight .
