About this house rental
This is not a cabin but a very comfortable home that will accommodate six. While not ocean front, it is located on the Bayshore spit and is about 200 yards from the beach and 100 yards from the Alsea Bay. The house is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay at the Coast. The only thing you need to provide is your food, paper products and soaps. The house is WiFi equipped with high speed internet and expanded HD cable.

The location was great! A very short walk brought us to a great beach. The house was laid out well and had adequate space for our family of six. The only thing lacking was the kitchen. The cookware, dishes, and cooking utensils were well used and in poor condition. The teflon coating on most of the pans was severely scratched and rendered the pans unusable. Some of the dishes were chipped. Plastic spoons were no longer round and were discolored. We bought canned goods at the store and needed to open them. We found two can openers, but neither of them worked. We ended up driving down to the clubhouse and borrowing a can opener.

We spent a week with friends and had a great time. The layout of the house with bedrooms at opposite sides of the house makes it great for two couples. Having the “den” was a nice addition for those who WFH. WiFi a little slow, but we expect that along the Oregon Coast.

The location of this property worked great for our family. We were close to so many things to do, Aquarium, shopping, three light houses, sea lion caves, we were able to see a lot in just a few days! The walk to the beach from the house only took a few minutes and most days we had the beach all to our selves. We walked around the beach next to the river every day and got to watch sea lions playing in the river and fisherman pulling up crab pots. The house worked great for preparing our meals, playing games, and watching movies. We were all very comfortable.

I went to the coast with my two adult sons. We stayed at the crabbin cabin for four nights. The house was perfect for us, spacious, clean, and relaxing. The kitchen is wonderful with all of the equipment you could need. The large soaker tub was awesome to relax in after a busy day. We will definitely rent it again.

House had nice decor and adequate space. Liked the separation of the bedrooms with two bathrooms. Also a separate room for kids or adults to watch a movie or play a game. Gives everyone nice space. Master bedroom is large and spacious. Very comfortable beds.

Perfect location for us. The dog loved the super close beach and equally close bay for walks. Tons of wildlife and not crowded at all. Far from cabin, comfy home with nice neighbors.

This house was perfect for our group. I really like the open living room/kitchen area and was one of the reasons I chose this place. There were a couple of minor issues that could be fixed; the blinds in the living room were broken or not there at all and the front light over the garage didn't seem to work. The front and back yard need some major maintenance but other than that, it was a great place for us.

We enjoyed our stay. Quiet and comfortable. There were a couple of things I want to point out. The curtains in the front window were broken and one window did not have one at all. We were uncomfortable with this since it was two women staying. We did call this in and received a call back the next day. There was also a lot of dust/cobwebs especially around TV area, pictures and ceiling fans.

House needs deep cleaned but great location.
When we first arrived it looked nothing like the pictures. We found a dead bird that had been living in the house for a while and had pooped everywhere. The house was very dusty and was not cleaned well after the last renters, table was sticky, counters dirty etc. It could use a deep clean as the dust is getting pretty bad in the not so noticeable places, closet doors, ceiling above fans, back of lamps in bedrooms, etc.
Other than the cleanliness it was a great location, good sized house for the amount of people we had. The kitchen was stocked to make big meals for families which was great!!

Floor plan is very comfortable and spacious, decent sizes bathrooms, kitchen was very well stocked with good quality ware, garage was a bonus and our truck fit inside. Our stay
Overall loved the layout of the house. Yard was far too overgrown for our dog to even use it though so was disappointed by that. Home needs a good deep cleaning. Lots of dust build up on light fixtures, fans, etc. Window sills full of dirt and sand. Master shower has mold starting to develop in the corners. Carpets seriously need to be cleaned. The basic cleaning had been done, just needs a more thorough cleaning throughout. Property manager should consider doing this at least once a month to supplement the quick turnover clean between rentals.

House was more than adequate. News pillows need to be purchased with some substance in them. Heat in house worked very well. Neat clean and tidy in all areas. But a swifter needs to be taken to all rooms to get rid of the cobwebs. And the garage ceiling in all corners need to be cleaned of all the spiders and webs. Liked location, liked whiteness,liked security measures.

Great getaway!
The outside looked like it needed a little TLC, then open the door for a beautiful inside. Loved that the bedrooms and bathrooms were on opposite sides of the house--great for two families. Every appliance and utensil you can think of was there. Walk to the beach or around the neighborhood was easy. Would love to come back.

So much mildew... i know it's a wet location but wow. If that were my house I would clean it. The cons: It needs a good full cleaning of vents, fans, windows, doors you can just see mildew everywhere. Found big black spiders everyday in the house. Hard beds and dated, bring your own pillows these ones have yellow stains all over ew. Not a great location to beach without quite a long hike through steep sand dunes. Pros:Quiet neighborhood, large rooms, apps on TV... trying to think of more but its hard.
