About this house rental
Down a dead end private lane you will discover our restful home. There is lots of natural light in this home with the large windows and skylight. There are partial ocean views from the home and front deck with the beach just a short walk away (2 minutes). Miles and miles of beach are there for the exploration and it is an easy walk to the quaint town of Waldport or Patterson Beach State Park next door.
The house features a master bedroom with a king size bed and master bath with a tub and shower. There are also 2 private rooms. The maximum occupancy is 6 persons. There is a large living room with sofa, recliners, tv entertainment center with cable tv and dvd. Open dining room with island kitchen and walk in pantry. Full bathroom off utility room and hall.
Outside there is a large covered back deck and open front deck.
The location is as convenient as they come on the Oregon Coast. Waldport is only minutes away and features restaurants, groceries, etc. Waldport is home to the Alsea Bay where there is world class dungeness crabbing and salmon fishing. Waldport has the 9 hole Crestview Golf Course less than a 1/4 mile from our house. Coastal landmarks such as Seal Rock, Devil's Churn, Cooks' Chasm, Spouting Horn, and Cape Perpetua are less than 10 miles away. To the north 16 miles is Newport where you can visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Rogue Brewery and the Historic Newport Waterfront.

Comfortable bright beach home. Very well supplied. Short drive/walk to miles of sandy beach. Reasonable driving distances to several quaint beach towns. Nice westside deck for evening/sunset viewing. Sunny eastside covered deck for enjoying your morning libations. Yes, we will be back to this home away from home beach house.

We stayed here for a few days in July and had a lovely time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. You can see the ocean from the living room, and there is a nice back porch. The neighborhood was quite, and you couldn't hear any road noise.
You can walk to the beach through the neighborhood, but it's quite a steep drop to the first step on the makeshift stairs once you reach the beach. If you have mobility concerns, you can also access the beach from the Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation Site, which has an entrance the next street down.

We enjoyed our stay! Having a beach access and views of the ocean from the living room was high on our list. It did not disappoint. It was a quite street. The beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for exporting both North and South on the coast. We did a fishing trip with Trade Winds out of Newport and had a great experience.

We have stayed here 3 years in a row. It feels like home. The house has all the amenities anyone needs for a wonderful vacation. We love it.
We are booked for next year. Don't hesitate, if your family likes a beach vacation, you can do no better than this cozy home away from home.

Overall, the place is comfortable and well-stocked. The beach access is nice and neighborhood is quiet. There is definitely wear and tear showing in the house. We noticed that the front door is very sticky to open during the day, but at night it was next to impossible to get the door open. I literally had to have my husband help open the door. If there were ever a fire there, this is going to be a death trap.
The master shower was not draining at all, and my husband ended up fishing a disgusting, smelly glob of hair out of the drain the size of a muskrat. I took a picture of it, but I can't insert a pic here. One of the sinks in the master didn't drain either. You'd think the cleaning people would notice and address that.
The towels all smelled musty and like they'd be left to sit and stew in the washer for too long. Ick.
Like I said, this place was OK, but not great. We wouldn't stay here again.

Everything was as described except the walk to the beach isn't 5 minutes--more like one minute! The walk itself is pleasant as well. The beach is great, the house is great, the back yard has bunnies and hummingbirds all around. The house itself is roomy and supplied with everything you need. And Waldport is close to other popular places like Newport, Depot Bay, and Yachats. I like that it is a smaller town than the others places, but it also has plenty of great stores and things to browse. My whole family loved it!

This was the perfect place for our spring break vacation. Lots of little things just incase you forgot them. Tons of puzzles and games for those rainy days. The extras in the shed were awesome, we hoped to try out the kites but weather didn't co-operate. Super easy access to the beach! My girls 2 and 6 were super excited about all of the VHS movies and watched many of them while relaxing in bed after a busy day at the beach.

Our family of 7, ages 1 through 14 had an absolute blast!
It took literally 1 minute to walk to the beach
on a well maintained beautiful path. The house was just perfect and well stocked with everything we needed! The king size bed in the back room was more comfortable than my bed at home! They even had a waffle iron which made for delicious breakfasts! Tons of puzzles and some games were entertaining for the kids and even had a toy box for the little kids.
Everybody's favorite thing to do was go play at the beach until everyone was cold and exhausted then come back and hose off in the backyard, get warmed up and play the awesome old-school super Nintendo that was in the guest room!
Everything was clean and it was a great quiet neighborhood. The neighbor lady has a gorgeous flower garden!
Seal Rock was a 2-minute drive away and awesome for beachcombing and tide pools.
There's a half mile bridge across the water at Waldport that has a path along the side that's fun to walk along. It was safe and great for kids and strollers. We saw seals while looking down into the water.
The town of Waldport is darling and they have a fun Wednesday market each week in the summer.
We were only about 10 minutes away from Newport! We had fun walk around checking out all The little tourist shops along the old bayfront. My husband took the big kids to "Ripley's Believe it or not', me and the little kids strolled around and saw all the big fishing and ships and sea lions on the docks.
Moe's is the best for clam chowder and a giant platter oysters!
We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this property and may even book it again ourselves!

Quiet Ocean View Location
Well laid out manufactured home which has everything you need for a comfortable vacation. A short walk to miles of sandy beach invites you to beachcomb for "treasures". We enjoy eating at LunaSea in Seal Rock a few miles north on 101. Waldport has a Ray's Market a short drive east on Hwy 34 for needed groceries. We highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again.

Waldport Gem
Property is central everywhere my family I like to see and do. Very short walk to the local beach and short drive to other beaches. Owner provides everything you need in the house, plus things for the beach, eg. Kites, beach chairs, portable BBQ, crab pot and cooker etc,etc. My only disappointment were the two BBQ's which previous renters had left in such filthy state that it would have taken me hours of cleaning to make them food safe. This was a sad thing as the owner had provided quality brand BBQs. Aside from that, we had a great stay.

More than expected!
This rental was more than we expected. The photos just don't show how much room there is! Large bedrooms with comfortable beds. There were puzzles and games available, as well as brochures to browse through. So nice to have a laundry available! The two decks were great. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood in a super location. So much to explore in the area. You are right off Hwy 101 but you really don't hear it at all. What you do hear is the ocean! The short trail to the ocean was so adorable. When you come out of the hobbit-like trail and view the ocean for the first time, it takes your breath away. I would definitely recommend this place. It has everything you need.

Convenient location
House was as advertised. Very spacious inside! It is just a short walk down a path to reach the beach! Great Mexican restaurant just in town! This house allowed easy access to lots of attractions both North and South! It was a good home base to explore the coast!

We had a great time
The house was very comfortable. Even though we had some stormy days during our stay, we enjoyed being inside, too. The kids loved the kites in the shed and all the toys available. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was wonderful with lots of room and plenty of pots and pans. We would like to stay again.

We were super happy with the place, it is super spacious, perfect for a group of 6. Great location to access the beach and super close to town. Felt safe, but also like we had privacy. The beds were super comfortable and clean and the kitchen was big and had all utensils and things to make food.

Our family (6 adults 1 tween) stayed 5 nights over Thanksgiving 2021. Attentive host. The house is comfortable and a good layout for family gatherings. Well-stocked. Great location, quiet neighborhood, and short walk to beach. Close to Ray's market. Fun antique shops in Waldport. We hope to stay again.
