I swear: book this hotel when visiting NY!!! It’s the best hotel

- Self check in and check out is super efficient and quick. There’s also a possibility to check in online. Please note that you still will need to go to the self check ins in the hotel itself - Bed and pillows were suuuper comfortable - You don’t hear anything from the noise outside. You might hear some police sirens, but it’s not that loud - Shower and toilet were clean and amazing - The view from the room is exceptional!!! - Everything for the room like the lights, air conditioning and the blinds are managed by the tablet. You can also change the colours of the lights with the tablet - Staff was also really friendly and helpful with any questions - There are several metro stations in walking distance (5-10 minutes from the hotel) that take you to several places in New York. It’s great to commute around the city

Breakfast is pretty basic, but good. I wouldn’t really say it’s worth the price

Super Hotel, sehr freundliches Personal, Toplage, Mega Aussicht auf die Skyline, Super Frühstück.

Absolute Toplage im südlichen Manhattan. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 14. Etage mit einem Megablick auf die Skyline. Der absolute Hammer ist die Terrasse auf dem Dach. Mit einem Drink in der Hand auf ganz NewYork zu schauen, ist nicht zu toppen.

Nichts. Es war alles top.

Le rooftop est top, le personnel sympa. Chambres mini mais bon c’est nyc

Même si il y est situé face à Soho, les abords direct de l’hôtel sont squattés par des fumeurs de crack. On doit être très intime avec son partenaire, la toilette n’est séparée de la chambre que par une cloison en verre (évitez les restos bon marché de Chinatown)

Cool hotel, great value - please clean up the NYC streets.

great location if going to east village/soho. was a very "cool" hotel/experience - not your conventional experience. A lot of tech, very small but cute and highly functional rooms.

OMG - the neighborhood. Sleeping in the streets/sidewalks - including some masturbation's. This is not at all a clean and safe neighborhood. Would not have ever let my wife walk out alone.

Perfect downtown location, great staff, super common areas and great micro-room.

Location was perfect for us as we were visiting family located in Lower East Side and Brooklyn. Clean, new facility. Very quiet at night even though were were in a bustling area. Loved the common area for hanging out, working, etc. Staff was super.

The only small note was the location of the bed - it is large and in a very small space, so one of us struggled to get in an out. Older, less spry people (especially short ones) might find this challenging.

Extrem gute Lage. Mit der Subway ist man auch schnell in Brooklyn. Sehr freundliches Personal. Tolle Rooftop-Bar.

Frühstück könnte abwechslungsreicher sein. Ist an anderen CitizenM Standorten besser.

A unique and well designed hotel.

This is my 3rd time at the Bowery and it does not disappoint. If you like the ambience of sleeping in an iPad, then this is the hotel for you. Rooms are compact but well designed, SUPER clean and well maintained. The lights, shutters, cleaning hours, media and temperature are all managed from an iPad in your room. The absolute highlight of this hotel is the communal area which has a feature wall that is 3 storeys high and covered with interesting art and literature. Seating in this space is spread out at different levels so people can work or chat in peace. It's a very well thought through environment and you can see the Dutch influence. The bar upstairs has an incredible panoramic view of the city that is a must see. CitizenM is calm yet interesting space when you compare it to the Moxy which is more of a party hotel.

Breakfast is good but basic, as is the food available at other times. If you're a foodie you will want to look elsewhere. Tech was a bit glitchy in the room this time but nothing dramatic. The best prices are not always on their website which is a shame for them.

Would definitely stay again!

Check in and check out was a really easy process and there were friendly staff members around to help. The rooftop bar has some great views and had a really nice atmosphere cocktails are pricey but good measures so worth it! View from the room was great and the proximity to the subway made it really easy to explore NYC.

The room is a little on the small side but fine if you are using it purely as a base to explore New York, we had a lot of luggage as we were heading elsewhere afterwards so it did feel a bit of a squeeze but there was underbed storage and options to make it less boxed on in.

Todo! El hotel es súper bonito y moderno, la ubicación es excelente, el desayuno bueno con precio muy razonable para ser Nueva York. La habitación, aunque no es muy grande, es muy cómoda, y las vistas una pasada. Despertar con esas vistas ha sido un auténtico sueño! Además, cuentan con un rooftop con bar en el que puedes tomar cócteles con vistas a todo Manhattan! Sin duda, volveríamos a hospedarnos en este hotel!

Vue incroyable sur la ville et emplacement idéal.

La vue spectaculaire dans les chambres vue panoramique. L’emplacement à deux pas de Soho, Nolita, Chinatown et Little Italy. Plusieurs stations de metro et lignes de metro différentes à proximité.

Le petit dej n’est pas très complet pour son prix.

Best place to stay

The room was cozy but incredibly clean and tech, a mention must be made to the super comfy bed! The view on downtown was breathtaking, the stuff was super friendly, and the rooftop bar was the icing on the cake - 10/10!

Great hotel in city with amazing view.

Amazing best view! Comfortable bed, nice room. We like communication with reception. Breakfast delicious, but not much diverse.

Window was not very clean from outside. I know it can't be fixed during our stay, but probably could be done better job.

Bonne expérience

La vue est superbe, les chambres confortables et l’emplacement très pratique.

Manque de places au petit déjeuner, il n’y avait que quelques tables et très rapprochées les unes des autres dommage pour l’intimité. Et si la vue est magnifique depuis le rooftop il est dommage que celui-ci soit réservé à des événements privés (hors soirée) empêchant les clients d’y accéder. On vient aussi pour la vue…

Great Location, great view, but so-so service

I booked CitizenM because of it's location in the Lower East Side, with great subway access and plenty of restaurants shopping and art museum and gallery in walking distance. The rooms are well designed with comfortable bed and good shower. View from my room is very nice with Manhattan skyline.

The check-in / check-out with iPad is a bit gimmicky, assuming the iPads work. They didn't for me so reception had to do it the old school way which took forever. The staff is uneven with their service. Management level tend to be more welcoming and helpful, but the lower level receptionists are not well trained and don't seem to give a dxxx about helping you. Service in the restaurant is slow (maybe they are understaffed). Breakfast is OK but not amazing. Maybe better to skip breakfast in hotel as there are many good coffee / breakfast places around the hotel that have better options.

Dirty bed sheets

Location is great. Rooms have a very beautiful view, decoration is modern and nice.

The under bed sheet was dirty, with some hairs and it looks someone already lay on it. Hotel was reactive changing sheets and offering a discount, but of course this is totally unacceptable! The air con system was not working well, room was very cold so we had to change to another room. Frankly when you arrive after a very long trip, deal with such issues is really very unpleasant.

Best hotel breakfast ever!

This hotel is great! The breakfast was unbelievably good every day! Having a barista included in breakfast was such a perk. I loved working out of this hotel as well - it was so aesthetically pleasing. Will definitely stay here again!

The location is terrible you are next to two homeless homes the homeless and drug addicts are outside the hotel at all times ,very unsafe

Superb

Location - close hot place to SOHO and easy to access between upper downtown and south Port area together. Cafe in this hotel- good for foods, street pizza. Beautiful window view.

Around the hotel, street is not cleaned and many homeless people.

The room was just too small, even for one person. I understand the business case for the size of the room but won't be staying in a CitizenM hotel again unless it's the only real option at this price point. I don't need a king size bed and don't understand how two people could use the room at all.

A wonderful place to call a temporary home.

Everything from the warm, genuine, beautiful staff to the delicious food and extraordinary rooftop bar.

Unfortunately the air conditioning broke down in my room for a few days. I was given a fan but it did make it uncomfortable as it was summer.
