Manzanita Certificate Of Authority: MCA #155
Tucked away on a sleepy dead-end street just across from the beautiful sandy beach, this charming Manzanita vacation rental offers plenty of peace and quiet while sitting just one mile south of the center of town. Walk north along the beach to shopping and dining on Laneda Avenue, or head south to the hiking trails and solitude of Nehalem Bay State Park - it truly is the best of both worlds.
The home itself is sunny and welcoming, with a subtly modern nautical decor and warm hardwoods complementing the ocean views. The upper floor's kitchen, dining, and living area are open and spacious, allowing your group to socialize while preparing meals or curling up by the old-fashioned pellet stove. Take in a movie on the cable TV with DVD player (or bring along your old VHS tapes for the VCR), or grab a board game for some more interactive entertainment.
The kitchen has all the usual appliances including an oven with stove top, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, and dishwasher. Plus plenty of pots and pans, dishes, and utensils to serve a group of hungry hikers or beachcombers. Stools line the built-in bar along the wall, while a four-person table sits near the sliding glass doors that lead to the deck. Here, a gas grill is provided for summer barbecues, or simply step out to enjoy the fresh ocean air and watch the waves roll in.
The master bedroom, also on the upper floor, has a gorgeous wrought iron king bed, sitting area, and its own private entrance to the sunny deck. Downstairs are two more bedrooms: both with queen beds and each with their own TV. The living room's sofa also unfolds to a sleeper for extra guests. With its two full baths and washer/dryer, this home is easy to share with up to eight guests, as well as dogs (for a small nightly fee). There is parking for three vehicles, so it's easy for multiple couples or families to meet at the house.
The home's location really couldn't be better. You're just steps from the peaceful beach, and a very short drive or pleasantly long walk to Manzanita's shops and restaurants. The awe-inspiring hiking trails of Oswald West State Park are only five miles to the north, with Cannon Beach's galleries and boutiques just ten miles further.
Treat your loved ones to a truly special retreat on the beach! Sweet Dream is waiting to welcome you in, put your mind at ease, and make you feel right at home in beautiful Manzanita.

Our family enjoyed this stay in Manzanita quite a bit because the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and spices the tv and and the DVD's provided some end of the day entertainment; it was clean; and there was plenty if room for a family with teenagers. It was a fantastic little family friendly house. Thank you! We will visit again.

My family (6 adults) had a wonderful vacation at the Sweet Dream House. The home was very clean and tidy, well stocked with soap, towels and kitchen utensils. A short walk down the road to a trail that leads over the dunes and onto the beach. The only thing that could have made the trip better would be a comfy sofa and chairs for 6 adults to lounge in. Thank you!

This is a great beach house located in a lovely area of Manzanita. We had a few problems:
1. Human hair on the furniture…super gross and rather ironic since the house is dog friendly. I would have expected maybe let hair a bit but there was human hair, long in all shades of color on the sofa, pillows, chairs. Clearly the management company needs to do more thorough cleaning.
2. Bathrooms need updating, and the towels (which are white) are very tired, stained, and YES, several of them had human hair in them…gross long strands that clearly didn’t come out in the wash.
3. A downstairs fire alarm went off bc of low batteries…and yes, it went off at 1am while we were sleeping. I asked the management. Company on Sunday morning to come replace the batteries and I didn’t hear back from them until Monday afternoon when they asked me how my stay was. Clearly they use chat bots to interact with their guests and the owners of the homes they’re managing need to know that the chat bots are not doing their job.
If the management company kept up with the house cleaning needs and were more responsive to guests I would highly recommend this vacation home. However, as it stands, and how we experienced the situation I would recommend finding another home.

No surprises with the house. Everything was as it was advertisement. The location was real good. Only issues were ants in the downstairs bathroom and in the kitchen. Additionally, quite a few dust “bunnies” in the master bedroom and cobwebs on the triangle scenic windows above the sliding glass door. Additionally, some of the hand towels and washcloths that were put out were “dingy“ stained.

We absolutely loved staying here. The house was spacious, well equipped with comfy beds! We had everything we needed for our 5 day stay including a full kitchen and washer and dryer, plus it was easy to walk to the beautiful beach. We would definitely stay here again!

We arrived just in time to see the sun setting over the ocean from the balcony. The house layout and location made our weekend joyful and effortless. We especially appreciated the 'dog sheets' to protect the furniture as our pup is used to sitting in a chair at home. I'm still smiling from the easy walks to the beach and the breezy lunches on the balcony. Thank you!

Overall, the beach house provided a mixed experience. While cleanliness fell short of expectations, the charming pellet stove (although no pellets were provided), added a cozy touch. The ocean view and beach proximity were definite highlights for our family and dog. The beds were satisfactory, aside from one being squeaky. The kitchen boasted ample spices and functional appliances. However, an unannounced mid-stay visit for propane for the grill from VRBO was awkward; advance notice would have been appreciated.

The home easily accommodated a party of three adults, two children, and two dogs. Great location by the beach, with town just a few minutes' drive.

Nice house with a good view on the south end of Manzanita. The house is about a 15 minute walk from downtown Manzanita, 10 minutes to the entrance of Nehalem State Park, and 1 minute from the beach. The two bedrooms downstairs are cozy and the master upstairs is roomy.

There are no negative comments attributable to this home. The walk to the beach could be challenging for older visitors. The home is bright and airy.

We loved the house and location..perfect for our group of 6.
House was clean enough and well-stocked with everything we needed to cook..nice cast iron, too.
Beach access is great and dog friendly.
Living room needs a sectional couch so 6 people can relax , play games, watch a movie, etc.
The bed in the north bedroom is horrible..very loud and uncomfortable.
No pellets found for the stove.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. A few minor improvements would really class it up.
Thanks

It was a lovely little home. Pretty well maintained. There are a few cracks in the drywall in the ceiling, and a couple places in the bathroom where the baseboard needs to be re-tac tacked, drywall probably from settling that need to be patched. It also wasn't as close to the beach as I had hoped. The dunes en route to the beach for someone with mobility issues are definitely a little bit hilly not steep but rolling. Had to rewash the sheets when we arrived. Not because they were dirty but because they were washed with scented detergent couldn't find any detergent in the house so went out and bought some unscented. The scent made my skin itch. Too bad.
Kitchen was well stocked and had lovely knives that weren't dull. Had unexpected maintenance partway through the visit with basically no notice and trouble getting in that first night. They resolved it after a short time. All in all, a restful few days at the coast, but not my favorite of all the vacasa places I've stayed. We tried the pellet stove briefly but it made the room smell like smoke so we turned it back off and aired out the room and stuck to wall heaters. Allergic to smoke so having a smoky pellet stove in the room was a no-go.

Great location with nice view and 5-min drive to town. However, house is lacking some of the basics like bedroom downstairs has a broken queen bed and stained pillow. Living room is furnished mainly with uncomfortable outdoor furniture and dining room chairs are uncomfortable stained folding chairs. Kitchen is nice with needed utensils but the pots and pans are old. We won’t book this house again.

This place is extremely outdated and very worn- the pictures make it look way better than It is- if you are looking for a decent location and don’t mind the place- this is a good option. The view is obstructed by power lines on one side . This place could also use a deep cleaning. At First glance it appears clean but then there was very thick dust on the baseboards, used washcloth still in the shower and found hairs in one bed- gross!

Other than a power outage due to storm we would stay again

We had a wonderful time in Manzanita and the house met all of our needs. The house is bright, has a great view of the ocean and fabulous decks for enjoying the outside. Easy walk to the beach and town made it a convenient location. My only complaints were some of the dishes were put away in the cupboards obviously dirty with food and no hot water in downstairs shower. Bring salt and pepper, paper towels and TP as there isn’t enough to last for a family. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Great location
5 minute walk to one of the nicest beaches in Oregon. Nice house, a little funky, but we very much enjoyed it. I would suggest the owners invest in a couple of spatulas and a set of wooden utensils for cooking.
