It’s extremely disappointing to have to write this review - this rental is misleading. It is in need in serious attention. Upon check in , the trash at the front door seems to be sitting there for a month stinking the driveway and front door everytime, which also meant you could not open any of the windows facing the front of the house. The downstairs “kid oasis” has no shortage of spiders, roaches and other insects within the bedroom and bathroom. This is the “so called kids retreat”. The hot tub had no chlorine tablets and was set at 110 degrees, well over the max. It was unusable the entire time. The worst and MOST disappointing part - all of the above issues were shared with the management company during our stay. Zero communication to date. We never received any communication regarding any of the issues over multiple messages. For the price you pay; the bugs all over the place and zero support from the management company, I would consider looking at other alternatives before booking.

Lovely split level home was perfect for our mini spring break vacay. Well stocked home. With good set up for traveling with teens. They took over the downstairs and we stayed upstairs. Easy walk to town and the beach.

My family loved this house. Close proximity to our favorite market and all the fun shops.
The home was cozy but plenty of space for all of us to come together for cooking, eating, chilling by the gas fireplace and hot tubbing. We hiked every day and walked on the beach. The beds were comfy.

This place is in the pretty much perfect location and the yard is awesome. We really enjoyed our stay and Love Manzanita. Our bed was nice and comfy but the others were a bit uncomfortable. There are a few things that could use updating (more silverware, glassware, screens on the bedroom windows and shades for both windows in living room, assuming one window shade was broken.) Overall the house was fine but definitely got hot in the afternoons when the sun was shining.

Lovely home near everything
This was a very clean home in a great location. We were a group of two families (4 adults, 3 kids) and it was perfect for a short getaway. A short walk to beach, restaurants, and stores. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Perfect location
Family had a great 3 night stay. The house was in a great location. Walk to everything in Manzanita. The back patio and hot tub was wonderful. The only small recommendations is more lighting in the downstairs bathroom, the upstairs tub is very slippery and the need for a few good non-stick cooking pans. The rooms were a great size and beds were comfortable. So happy we picked this house for our first visit to the Oregon coast!

Check in was rough- excellent stay
I needed an early check in and reached out to the property manager multiple times, including the day prior and follow up the morning of our stay. I was not able to access the home early, despite my efforts.
Once we got there and checked in, we had a wonderful stay. The home is in optimal walking distance to the beach, shopping and many restaurants. It was clean, and well organized and stocked. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property to friends and family.

need some updates
The location was great and the house was overall pretty clean and ready for use. We had two problems the disposal in the sink wasn't working and that made for backups when we ran dishwasher. Also there were ants in the kitchen, I suffer from these in my own home so I know they are hard to get rid of...but yuck. The biggest problem was No Hand Rail on the front steps. We were a group of Siblings ranging in age from 60 to 80 and those front steps are dangerous...Please put something in fast or someone will fall.

It was nice
It was in a great area....close to town....and walkable to the beach.....most windows didn’t have screens....(one being in the kids room on the ground level....not safe)....and the ones that did have screens....had huge holes in them......supplies were a bit scarce.....but it was plenty roomy.....with a peek-a-boo view of the ocean...

Comfortable, convenient house
Spacious, comfortable house. The kitchen had everything we needed, It is set up well for families with kids. Nice room in the basement with bunkbeds. Convenient location in easy walking distance to Laneda shops and a grocery. A bit too far from the beach to walk with small children. Pleasant outdoor area, which we weren't able to use because of the weather.
Our only complaint about the house was that the overhead lighting in the living room wasn't working, and there were no lamps.

Not ready for prime time
Upon arrival, we were excited about the close in the location, just off Laneda, on 4th. When we entered the layout was fine but the cleaning wasn’t great ( bed sheets weren’t even fully made on one, garbage under bed/cabinets/behind dresser, a giant fur ball in toilet, floors poorly swept/not mopped) and there were dishes/cooking utensils in kitchen that were put away dirty. The couch looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed (doghair (?) on it and crumbs). The fireplace was out of order. It seemed like the place hadn’t really been quite finalized for guests to be there. One upper bedroom had no dresser nor any side tables or lamps (we moved one from other bedroom) and the kitchen had no toaster nor any pot holders or a colander for rinsing veggies or draining pasta. The sheets didn’t fit properly on beds and seemed stiff/starched. There was no DVD player as stated in amenities. There was one adult game though “games” is listed. The dish drainer under the sink was disgusting. All of the windows that had screens on them (a few didn’t even have one) were ripped. The back door has a screen door that not only was ripped but seemed broken and came off the “track” every time we struggled to open or close it. The plastic ikea chairs that were in dining room were too short for table. If there’d been kids or very short adults their chins would’ve been on the table. Another issue is that there was street construction right outside our door, which began pounding and making the ground vibrate by 7am, 2/3 of the mornings we were there. Obviously this isn’t the rental company’s fault but a heads up would be much appreciated. It had been going on before we got there and they’d called to let us know a propane truck would be arriving some time on Monday day so they could’ve thrown in the other info which had way more of an affect on our stay. At first glance, the house seemed great and there were a few nice touches like a Sonos system in the living room. We were looking forward to our long weekend with our mom, but too many issues made it kind of a bummer for how much money we spent to make this getaway happen. While Meredith Lodging takes great pains to create a presence in the northern coast rental market and they make sure their branding is strong (they even have the towels labeled with their name/logo), they should do much better at ensuring the place is being cleaned properly and is truly ready for guests with all the amenities needed/listed. Bummer!
