Other Things to Note:
We cordially invite you to come and feel awestruck at “Sea Struck” in Carmel. Here atop your own private perch on a quiet hill just minutes from the vibrant life of downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, you’ll be enraptured by the dazzling show of pinks, oranges, yellows, and periwinkles playing in the big sky right outside your window and reflecting onto the vast expanse of ocean stretching from Point Lobos across Carmel Point all the way to Pebble Beach.
Sitting facing two massive corner windows in the high-ceilinged living room, listening to the crackling of the fire in the wood-burning fireplace, you’ll be asking yourself how it’s possible that the horizon looks so shockingly – impossibly – close. These are once-in-a-lifetime sights that must be personally witnessed to be fully understood, and “Sea Struck” generously presents them from multiple vantage points both inside and outside. Grab a pair of binoculars. What – or who – else can you spot out there? A humpback whale breaching? A pod of orcas or Risso’s dolphins? Each season brings new wildlife to the waters off the Monterey Peninsula, so you never know what surprises await.
The single-level, revival style home is just a few minutes off California Highway 1, yet its hilltop position ensures total peace and tranquility – a sense of being “away from it all” even as you are, in fact, conveniently within a few minutes’ reach of world-class shopping, dining, golfing, and sightseeing in Carmel and Pebble Beach.
With a 1900-square foot main house and an independent 500-square foot guest apartment, there’s plenty of space here for your entire group to enjoy the views and the eclectic, artsy ambiance. You’ll love the vintage kitchen, where retro charm meets contemporary amenities, and you’ll have everything you need to prepare gourmet meals to enjoy in the adjacent dining room as you gaze out at the seascape.
After dinner, pull open the French doors connecting the dining room with a spacious outdoor patio area, where you’ll find yourself happily “struck” again by more of those panoramic ocean vistas in addition to views of Carmel Valley and the Santa Lucia Mountains.

Went for our daughter’s 30th. Just a quiet long weekend with our grown kids and dog. Such a nice vibe with all the art! Good location to town. Only down side was our dog getting poisoned either by something around the area or down along Cannery Row but luckily he was ok after several hours.

It was a lovely house and we enjoyed it. Marcus from the mgmt company was very responsive and terrific to work with.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea-Struck. The views were spectacular, the kitchen was well stocked and perfect for our group, and the bedrooms were beyond comfortable. It was a great location for our family get away. And the host was very responsive and flexible, even calling the day before to walk through the check-in process and making a point of letting us know that the house would be available earlier than expected.

Beautiful view out the front window, home had plenty of room for all of us and our pets. It was very comfortable.
4.9
Everything about our experience was A+. Marco was friendly and very helpful during our check in process. A lot of care was put in to making the house feel very welcoming. The kitchen had everything you might need. There is a nice view and the side patio is perfect for relaxing. The house is also very pet friendly and they provide a way to close off the side patio to keep your dog safe. We would stay here again anytime.

Could not use garage. Upstairs difficult to get into. Slow response for assistance. Bedsheets were dirty. Lots of bugs flying around. 10am is a ridiculous time for check out when check in is 4pm. Our beach rental is similar in size and it does not take 6 hours to turn it around. Communication with the office was slow and at times unresponsive.
View is beautiful. No air condition. Fan does not work well. Great neighborhood. Close to town.

We absolutely love this home and location! Only thing we would change was having to go to realtor to pick
up keys. The setting is unbeatable, killer views and close to town. Will definitely love to return in the future and stay longer! 5 Stars🌟

Awesome views. Great time with family. Nice big house. Marco was great and very helpful.

Awesome view. Nice house. Marco made sure we got to the house. Beach toys and towels provided. Fire pit didn't work but the grill worked great for making smores.

Very clean, ideal location and beautiful views of the ocean. We were in town for a family wedding and this was a perfect place to stay.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. With a separate room above garage with a queen bed, bathroom, kitchen and small couch and tv, its all we needed to let our young adult children sleep in. We would enioy our coffee in the morning and wine at night. The view was amazing and close enough to town to walk. The house had enough blankets, pillows, kitchen supplies, etc. I loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

I love Carmel and the area, and wanted to take my family there. This property is wonderful: the location and view were better than expected, and we loved the decor and artwork! A truly fantastic stay; thank you!

AWe’ve stayed at multiple houses in Carmel by the Sea. This is the best. While this location isn’t super close to town everything else is ideal. Best ocean views you could imagine in Carmel, huge comfortable bedrooms, clean and tasteful. We will stay here again as soon as we can.
4.9
Lovely place with great views of coast and ocean.

We were taking our Cambodian exchange student on a California road trip during some of the most horrible storms of our lifetimes. Despite the rain (and a brief power outage) we had a wonderful stay in this quintessentially California house with sweeping views of the surf. Definitely will come back again and bring even more family members. Thank you for hosting us!
4.9
Great location with the best sitting window for your morning coffee.
4.9
The house was very well equipped for us to prepare several holiday meals and the dining room and living room were lovely spaces to all gather. The view was also gorgeous. The one improvement I would make is to change your LED light bulbs in all your lamps! Very stark, harsh lighting at night!
4.9
We stayed at this home for 2 nights with my inlaws and 2 small children. It was perfect for our stay and gave both parties the right amount of personal space. The home is very clean, nicely decorated, and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The ocean views are lovely and the neighborhood is very quiet.
Cons around property management - There was no welcome or confirmation email from the PM upon booking, as well as no communication about check in process ahead of our stay. I ended up calling the night before our reservation as there was no response to my messages through the vrbo app. Thankfully, the PM did answer after hours and was nice and helpful. Additionally, there is not a lockbox for the house key, so you have to drive to Monterey to the PMs office to pick it up before being able to access the home. Not a huge deal, but given that complexity, more proactive communication from property management would have been welcomed.

Spectacular view! Very immaculate, decorated very intentionally, and overall a managed property. The house is a very short and easy drive to the beach and downtown Carmel. Would return back to this property.

Sea Struck was very well appointed and clean upon our arrival. Many thoughtful things were provided: shampoo & conditioner, body wash, laundry supplies, some pantry basics and even biscotti and coffee pods. The terrific views and beautiful landscaping are much better than the listing pictures convey. Guests will not be disappointed

Could not have been more perfect. The house is beautiful, full of amazing art but comfortable and spotless. Gorgeous ocean views we couldn't get enough of, including amazing sunsets. The outdoor spaces and gardens are beautifully designed and maintained. The house and apartment are spacious and filled with every amenity we needed. The property manager, Marco, was attentive during pre-check-in and thought of every detail to share with us. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you!

Gorgeous Ocean Views from a Beautiful Home!
Easy to reach and central to everything in Monterey and Carmel. These pictures do not do the views justice- they are outstanding! The pantry has the basics you need and the place is very clean. Our family had a fabulous stay. Highly recommend.

House in great location
The property is very nicely done and definitely well stocked with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. Comfortable sitting areas. Nice outdoor patios. Grill not up to standards. The third bedroom is actually separate outside entrance over garage but has its own kitchen with this room but this room is not safe for children.

This is a great house located at the top of the hill with views of the ocean and beach. Plenty of off-street parking on a quite, steep street. Two bedrooms and full baths in the main house and a third in the well outfitted apartment above the garage. House shows its age, but works great and has everything you need.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious home. The property manager is friendly and helpful. The large living room is nicely furnished, pleasant to spend time in, and has a good ocean view on clear days. The king size master bed was very comfortable, and the closets plentiful. The studio apartment over the garage is fairly new and modern, though not quite as large as we anticipated from the listing. The washer and dryer in the separate laundry room are great. While the stove was fairly new, the kitchen cabinets in the main house were old and a little hard to open and close at times, and the floors and bathrooms could use a refresh. But overall a very nice home and very clean and comfortable. Patios to enjoy both in front and in back. Easy to get to center of Carmel, Pebble Beach and beyond.
